Cheese ice cream, strawberry cheesecake ice cream, chocolate ice cream, esquite

I've never had a problem at this location! The guanabana agua is by far my favorite! Very refreshing and hits just the right spot every time! Since moving to Petaluma this is definitely a family favorite. I like that they have many workers because they really do just get you and out with no problem.

Sundae

Hands down to the best ice cream around here. It's incredibly thick and well-made, which really enhances the flavor. I have a photo for the time I've ordered a sundae, and it was absolutely delicious--truly a treat! I love coconut pineapple and passion fruit ( you can't go wrong with those) The staff are very sweet and friendly, making the experience even better. If you're an ice cream lover, this spot is a must-visit!

I love coming to Fru-ta They have delicious popsicles. I haven't tried them all, but my favorite is Arroz con leche. I love the fact that they are not super sweet. My grandma and mom got coco, and we agreed that we love that you can feel the texture of the rice and coconut . We also shared tostilocos, and they are amazing! Customer service was excellent!

I LOVE FRU-TA! Summer is almost here & this place is my go to specially when that summer heat hits me (8___8) They are located in The Plaza North by the CVS so its pretty easy & convenient to get there & find free parking. They have a wide variety of ice cream in sooooo many different flavors, agua frescas (fresh juices), paletas (ice cream bars), fresh fruit, smoothies, milkshakes & specialty items like corn & some street type Mexican snacks. Their fruit cocktails are my personal favorite & not to forget the esquite (steamed corn with cheese lime juice & hot sauce). I personally gravitate towards the cold refreshing items when its hot like the guava agua frescas but esquite any day :) YUMMM! Also I like that you can order a healthy smoothie/açaí bowl or be more spontaneous with their specialty items like the bionico (diced fruit with granola in condensed milk & coconut). Everything is just so good you have endless options. Not to mention prices are very reasonable as well. Do yourself a favor & when you felt that summer heat, get up & go get yourself a mango cocktail!! You will thank me later how good & refreshing that is! Get me some of that goodness esquite too ;)

Staff is veri friendly and place is very clean. They have so many delicious options it was hard to decide what to get. I got a mango cocktail. Mango was very sweet and seemed like 2 mangoes in the cup. It is a little pricey but worth it. Will definetly be back to try some other things they have

So refreshing even on a cold, windy day! My wife and I had to go even though it was a cool day because it's just too delicious. I tried the diablito this time, which is basically a Mango nada, but with a tamarind sorbet instead of mango. I'm torn which i like better. I may have to get both next time...

Seriously, you might think pie is pie, but no, there's pie, and then there's pie from Petaluma Pie Company. Friendly employee and clean area outside the shop is well. So that's good. My only complaint is the eco-friendly fork they provide is absolutely awful. Not sure if it's a Petaluma requirement but real plastic forks would be much appreciated. Regardless, this place is a must-try!

I Spy With My Little Pie…read more This farm-to-table, locally-owned pie shop has been serving up both sweet and savory pie creations in Downtown Petaluma since 2010. They recently underwent an ownership change in 2024 from the OGs, but fortunately, instead of selling to a corporation, they sold it to an employee and his mother to help ensure the original ethos and quality remain intact. The Good: * Their pies are made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients bought from the local farmers market--as well as some fruit that they grow themselves! * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * As mentioned above, they have both sweet and savory pies. We only tried the sweet *oink oink* * Friendly service * Love that they have both full sized pies and smaller ones, so you don't have to commit to a big ol' pie. * We tried their Elvis (PB, banana, and chocolate) and their Black & Blue Crumble and they were both fabulous! I leaned a bit more to the B&B, as I absolutely adored that granola crumble on top, but the Elvis was no slouch either. The Meh: * Interior is small and very cramped. Definitely a grab-and-go type operation. The Ugly: * Parking in DT Petaluma can be a hassle, as it's street parking only, but at least it's free. Conclusion: Fantastic spot to scratch that 3.14 itch--and I'm always itchy!

Inside, there was an amazing selection of pastries, salads, and local products. My favorite was the chocolate orange cake, which was moist with a subtle orange flavor. My dad loved the vegetarian croissant, and my mom enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Everything was delicious, though the pastries were a little on the denser side. The real standout for me was the coffee. I ordered a plain iced latte, and it was strong, smooth, and not bitter at all. You can also add vanilla or classic syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink. Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. The sweet were still good though. Everything was high quality and fairly priced. Only item that I wouldn't get again is the Maritozzi.

Once famous for being the egg capital of the world. I once heard this conversation in a bar, "Hey Steve remember when we got paid to inseminate chickens when we were on acid?" Steve: "Those were chickens?" Sam Shepard would've had a field day here. Some newer buildings made to look old with crafted Styrofoam façades. One of the best foodie destinations north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Superb coffee shops and bakeries, some award-winning. So, back in 1999 I took a wrong turn off the freeway and discovered Petaluma and the first place I went was the "Tea Room" and it's still pretty much as awesome as it was then. A real nice vibe, nicely decorated with some incredible pastries to include the orange cranberry scone as I recall, sold out today. My breakfast today was quite good with the walnut toast, and a huge portion of very large potatoes that could've been cut into smaller pieces and maybe I only needed one third of the portion. Dem tatters were 'nuff for four people. Great atmosphere, nice friendly staff, and a very pleasant ambience. There's mirrored signage that says TEA mounted high on the wall across from one another so as to appear as if it were a reflection. I personally can also see the word EAT in there every time I glance at it. I was told years ago that it came from an old Texaco gas station sign. It makes sense, check it out. On Western Avenue. We were in the Bay Area, and dessert is always an option! After a quick yelp search, I discovered doughpamine. What I did not know, is that they don't have a storefront! And the address listed on YELP doesn't even go to the kitchen. It's kind of weird. The address actually corresponds with an ethnic market, which by the way, I did some shopping and and found some really cool things, but I digress. I immediately was in search of what is supposed to be fabulous Cookies. After a couple of stops at some of the local grocery stores, I struck Gold, and was able to purchase three different flavors!! I love the fact that it's frozen premade cookie dough. That means that you can bake as many or as few as you would like. I will say, the flavors are unique, and the price point is high. But you definitely get what you pay for. Each bag runs about $17 and there's six large pre-shaped cookie rounds in each bag. Rhapsody Road is my favorite! I just wish that the cookies had more marshmallow bits. I will say with all the flavors that I find almond to be a little bit off pudding and while I like unique flavors, well, it works with the Road to some extent, I really would like to see the almond removed. Miso peanut butter: I was super excited about this because I absolutely love peanut butter, and I thought the miso would add a very unique taste profile. This is my least favorite out of three packages that I purchased, and again it has almond in it and some other flavors that frankly just don't work. I wanted more of a peanut butter flavor And for some reason the miso and peanut butter just did not blend the way that I needed it for it too. I would take a pass on this next time. Blueberry corn: OK this was the Darkhorse for me, and I really did not think that I was going to like this, but in fact, I loved it! It's like a combination of a really good cornmeal muffin with blueberries in it but in cookie form. I absolutely would've loved more blueberries but the flavor combo is absolutely delicious. Why am I raving about frozen cookie dough?! I really wish that Jessica Nolan, the owner and creator had a storefront. Why? Because who doesn't want a freshly made warm cookie?! Right? But she did the next best thing and really, sometimes it's a late night craving and now it can be done at home. Simple and easy to follow baking instructions, and one is really filling, but you'll definitely want a second one! The baked cookies were definitely bigger than what I expected, and it made it all worth it! Jessica is a fine, dining pastry chef by trade, a Michelin restaurant, inspector, and a Food Network champion! She knows what she's doing. What's great about this is that you don't need to live in the Bay Area to grab these! Jessica has a website and ships everywhere. I've already placed an order. I love the fact that the prices are the same online as they are in the grocery store. This has that unique Yum factor that we all look for in that extraordinary cookie.
