I placed an order around 8pm thinking I had plenty of time before they close at 9pm. My order arrived late, over 10 minutes after they closed. To my dismay, it wasn't even what I ordered. I ordered sesame beef and they delivered broccoli beef (not a fan). Tried to call them, but of course no one picked up, as they were closed. I was upset, especially after waiting so long, but figured I would rectify it with them in the morning. Called them this morning only for the chef to essentially call me a liar. He said he made the right order. My receipt clearly says Seasme Beef and I have a picture of the broccoli beef that was sent to me. When I communicated that, was told no, he made the right order. I offered to send a photo of the food still uneaten in my fridge and my receipt, and still, the chef says he made the right order and they will essentially do nothing, not even store credit. This is how Pan Fry supports their customers and fixes their mistakes...by denying they happened. I've ordered from here quite a few times despite the late arrivals and food being cold, but I'm done for good. Edited to add: Regarding the response below, when I told the woman on the phone I had the Broccoli Beef in the fridge and could take a picture she repeated the same thing as to my other rebuttals, "the chef said he made the right order." Not surprised that this is being claimed since the chef repeatedly denied sending the wrong order in the first place. Notice they are still insisting the order was right, but the pics prove otherwise. And now you accuse me of lying above and not offering a photo of the wrong item. Unprofessional customer service. Just amazing how you assume I'm lying after all the orders we've placed with you and we have never caused problems. read more

We ordered for delivery wonton soup - broth was okay but wontons weren't edible. I had to toss it. The wontons tasted like they were old, possibly frozen and reheated... I'm not sure. They were so soggy and doughy that I couldn't even swallow. Bacon fried rice- smokeyness of the bacon overwhelmed the whole dish and needed more salt or some other seasoning. General tso - not spicy and makes me wonder the purpose the peppers they added to the dish? This was so bland that I think I'd be better off getting something from the frozen section of a grocery store. Pot stickers- were good but not mind blowing. Used to be a favorite at our house - they also used to deliver. I understand staffing shortages is most likely due to that change. The food however was terrible. The sesame chicken tasted reheated and not fresh. We ordered general tso and it was also the same. Packaging changed and the food sat in a pool of sauce. Very disappointed, not sure what changed to make the quality go down so quickly. read more

We love Chinese food and since moving to the Puyallup area we have been searching for some great or at least good Chinese food. We have yet to find it, even in outlying towns. We saw good reviews for this takeout restaurant, so we tried it. Everything we ordered was just ok. We ordered some sweet and sour ribs and were very hopeful that we would love them because we haven't found them at other establishments in the area. They were not tender and very chewy and under seasoned sauce. The chow mie n was ok but not very flavorful. The best part of the meal was the bbq'd pork we ordered as an appetizer. We quickly decided this is not a return restaurant for us and we will keep searching for some good Chinese. read more

Tried this for the frist time tonight. Ordered 3x general tso's and 2 with veggie chow mein and one with fried rice and 3x egg roll. The general tso's was sooooo good! Best ever! The whole family and kids loved this! The chow mein had flavor but seemed dry but was still very good. The fried rice I was told was not very good- but i didn't eat it- but it smelled amazing! Kids choice on this. My family are egg roll lover's and the chicken egg rolls are not so good. They lack flavor and seemed doughy... Service was quick and VERY friendly. The nice young man who took my order was spot on- his customer service and enjoyment of his job were amazing. Overall a GREAT experience and WILL order again :) What made me try this place? Never knew this place existed until I saw a post on a local Facebook page. Pretty decent Chinese food. It's connected to a gas station which would normally put you off.. but don't... let it..it's a hidden jewel. There flavors were on point the only complaint is some of the breaded items where overly breaded..like sweet and sour chicken..the chicken was minuscule to the breading. YUM. I previously left a 3-star review for Fry Pan due to a specific circumstance a few months back. However, I kept feeling bad about it since I'm a "frequent flyer", and have been so impressed with them since then. Their Ma Po Tofu is seriously delicious... They should make their chicken egg roles a meal because that's how delicious these things are. I also had the shrimp chow mien which was balanced perfectly with all the right spices. The shrimp was a little wonky but I still ate the entire thing in one sitting. My husband and I are currently in food coma because of how good this food was. We also got the crab wontons which were average mainly due to the crust vs stuffing ratio. My husband is in love with the egg drop soup, which could feed up to 3 people. He also got the Mongolian beef which had lots of good flavor. Needless to say this is our "go to" Chinese place. It is a little pricey but well worth it for the tastiness of the food! read more

This restaurant has been on my radar for awhile but every time I think of ordering, it's either closed or no one picks up the phone to receive the order or it doesn't show up on any of the apps. So it's been a testing time to work this place into my schedule and mood of eating. Now that I have, it's actually a good place - fresh ingredients, simple food that's yummy. It's great for take out, perhaps better than any of the regular Asian restaurants in the area. The service was direct and simple. They have taped off the counter to make it COVID proof and no seating is allowed. I look forward to trying this place again to see if they remain consistent with their food preparation. Fry Pan is for sure my favorite Chinese place in Puyallup. I love their egg rolls, hot and sour soup, Szechuan dumplings, cucumber salad, and their sweet and sour chicken! There are several other things I really like but I honestly cannot remember. The egg rolls were so good I actually zoned out and focused on how delicious they were. Their hot and sour soup is the best I've had in all of Washington. I although we ordered takeout, the service was great and everything was packaged perfectly. My kids love their chow mein too. Ordered a lunch menu general tao. Flavor is great but when I bit into a piece I noticed there wasn't any chicken. After cutting up 4 samples these were the size of chicken to breading ratio. This probably would only amount to 1 chicken thigh. 1 pack of thighs can easily go for $8-9 and while they are selling this item for $8.00 for a lunch special they're definitely getting their money back. read more

We ordered four entrees this evening. Kung Pao chicken, orange chicken, general tsos chicken and honey walnut prawns. Of the four, the only edible dish was the Kung Pao. The honey walnut shrimp looked like corn dogs they had so much greasy sponge-like beading covering them, the other two were not much better. Seriously cannot believe they sent out food looking like this. What a waste of $50 as most went on the trash. Wish I had taken pictures to show how bad these dishes looked. I really wanted to like this place. I never knew it existed till today and was so excited when I saw these reviews. 4 stars on my web search woot woot. I went in and the kid at the counter was great, friendly and upbeat. saw the sign best chow mien in puyallup. I was drooling. I ordered chicken chow mien, szeshuan chicken and mongolian beef plus paid extra for fried rice. My to go order with a 5.00 tip was 45.00 The food is disgusting (I have plenty left going in trash I wont feed it to my dog). The Chow mein and rice were both dry, flavorless and had little in it but rice and noodles (couple pieces of tasteless chicken in the chow mein) Szechuan chicken and mongolian beef were gross. Sauce had no flavor, beef was rubbery in texture chicken bland and vegetables way overcooked to point of soggy and gross. I so regret going into this place. Since the kid was so nice I wanted to do 2 stars but I cannot. I am about to throw away 45.00 worth of food. Portions were small but who cares as it is inedible. I eat chinese often and never have had food remotely this bad. Really good food, portions and service. Ordered walnut shrimp for pick up from here once and was not disappointed. Shrimp was large and they were thoughtful enough to give the sauce in a separate container to avoid getting the battered shrimp soggy. Only knocking one star off because it's a little difficult to find and the food is Americanized, but that's not necessarily a bad thing to all. Definitely recommend trying! read more

We've gotten Fry Pan delivered a few times. They're timely and the food is very yummy. I keep craving their General Tso's chicken and Chow Mein.
