The variety of spice levels is so nice to choose from. The only problem I find is that the size of the chicken is unreliable as you can either get a huge portion of chicken or a smaller piece but no matter what it's still so good. Second time here . First time only drive Thru was open . Nashville chicken was so good decided to go back again . Second time around was not great . The food came out so slow and they ran out of fries who runs out of fries when they have less than 10 items on their menu . As our food was coming out they magically had fries again ?! My son ordered the country no heat, but he was surprised by the heat, so we all tried it too see what he was crying about and we were all literally in tears from how hot it was, and on the top of the box it was scribbled CRAZY, which I guess is their second hottest, but honestly it was like poison. Folks let me tell you, there's a reason there's usually a long line at the drive thru. Excellent Sandwiches. I tried the Nashville Hot and the Spicy Butter Fried. Set out to order "Hot", but the drive through attendant warned me that level was actually very hot. I backed off to "medium" for both sandwiches and was actually looking for a bit more heat so next time, I'll turn it up a notch to see for myself! With all that said, the flavor of the chicken/sauces were great and they were both cooked to perfection (really nice crispy crust and very juicy inside). Tried the Potato Salad and the Mac and Cheese and while both were good, the Mac was the winner by a country mile! Start off by saying the Nashville chicken sandwich is a solid 5! Amazing sandwich. Got a medium and the heat was perfect. Crunch, coleslaw, juicy sandwich. However the service and set up here is not great at all. The place gets very packed and they don't utilize their parking lot area for the abundance of cars that come. There is basically one driveway to exit and enter because they block off the second. But you also can't go around the building itself because cars are in line ordering food. It just becomes a hot mess. The folks taking the order outside we're MIA and when we pulled up to the pick up window we had to order the food there and then go back into the messy lot to wait for our food. There were no napkins in the bag (which for a drive they place with a messy sandwich should be essential) the fries were also very soggy. We ordered hots and the hottest on one occasion and almost died (just kidding). The mild one is really a good choice if you like spicy and don't want to get murdered while eating it. Fresh cut fries are good but could be more fresh. From the way you get them you can tell they fry in large batches and they sit. They should make them fresh. So much better that way. I have been a Fry the Coop customer for years with long standing loyalty account. Today was a very disappointing and frustrating experienced that resulted in me canceling my order and never going to the prospect location again. I attempted to order lunch for 3. when i learned they increased their prices and changed what is included in the meal (nothing anymore) and would not allow mixing of heat levels. When i indicated i have been mixing heat levels for 3+ years i was told that was then and this is now. I can deal with the price increase and even changing meal configurations but rude customer service was it for me. Went to Daves Hot Chicken in Chicago. I love the toasted brioche bun and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The edges were super crunchy and the inside was juicy. The more you eat it, you'll start to taste the spice but it's not super spicy at all. There is also a hint of sweetness to it which I like. It's a perfect balance of flavors. The fries were seasoned perfectly and the coop sauce paired well with it too. If you wanna order ahead, you can on their website. You can also pick what time you'll be there so that it is still hot and fresh. There is a window where you can order and pick up. No need to go inside, which is convenient during this pandemic. Yummy. It is a bit messy to eat in the car, maybe pack some extra napkins or wet wipes. We did not care for the fries. They were undercooked and soggy. They are hand-cut, so if they keep them in the fryer for another minute or two they should be much better. We'll be returning. read more

It still took 25 minutes to get through the line with only 3 cars ahead of us and they weren't sure which order was our when we finally got to the window.
