Who would have thought it'd be hard to sell a cookbook with the name DUMP in its title.

Yup, it's Fry's. This store doesn't seem as nice as the one on McClintock and Baseline and the parking lot feels more narrow but this location has a fuel center which makes it convenient if you have fuel points to use up. There was someone manning the gas station at a booth in the center that provided good service. A friendly associate was there at the self check out who helped me out when I accidentally put in the wrong grocery code and it was no problem getting stamps from here too. I'll probably be back to this store more often to get groceries due to the fuel center and the fact that there's a bubble tea shop in this same plaza. : )

This bathroom!!!! I was so creeped out after using this bathroom I left the store. There was a dead cockroach being eaten by aunts next to the toilet, a used toothbrush in the sink and no paper towels. The silver lining was that there was a door handle that could open the door just using your wrist, was thankful for that I didn't want to touch anything after being in there! Yuck!

One normal checkout open.

They don't have all food items stocked. Also if you want fast checkout with a full cart don't go during the day. Most of the time the service is super slow and subpar. The ambience isn't ghetto like the 48th st location but the poor environment doesn't make up for it by much. Much needed improvements overlooked. Get new management in this store Kroger!!!

Clean store and good location. The shelves are stocked and staff is friendly. The weekly specials are great and deli makes tasty sandwiches.

They carry Boar's Head cheese and meat products in the deli and I always get a half pound of turkey for my sandwiches.

Goldman's Deli Where Your Soul and Your Stomach Both Get Hugged…read more If comfort food had a headquarters, it might very well be Goldman's Deli. Walk through the door and suddenly you're not just hungry you're home. The smells alone could make a grown person misty-eyed. Now let's talk about the pastrami. Lean, tender, and stacked so generously you start wondering if the sandwich needs its own zip code. One bite and you understand why people keep coming back. Two bites and you're already planning your next visit. The soups? Forget therapy have a bowl. Rich, comforting, and restorative. The kind of soup that makes you feel like somewhere in the kitchen a grandmother is quietly nodding with approval. And then there's the gefilte fish. Not the ordinary, polite little slice. This one is special delicate, flavorful, and downright magnificent. Even people who say, "Eh... I'm not sure about gefilte fish," suddenly become believers. There's a little schmaltz, a lot of love, and the unmistakable magic of real Jewish deli cooking. Eat there, take some home, and tell your friends because food this good shouldn't be kept a secret. You might arrive hungry, but you'll leave smiling, a little fuller, and possibly needing a short nap which is the highest compliment a deli can receive. And as they say with a wink and a warm heart: "Zei gezunt, un es gezunterheit eat in good health!" Or in plain deli English: "May you always be healthy... and may your sandwich always be this good." I don't know why I do this to myself. I woke up craving chopped chicken liver. don't know why. I…read moreinvited my husband to Goldman's which was the only place that came to mind for the liver but he politely declined, not being a fan. So I trecked 5 miles out of my way to Goldman's (when Chompie's was just a mile away --frankly I don't know why I didn't think about chompies) I ordered the chopped chicken liver appetizer which comes with slices of tomato, a piece of lettuce, slice of red onion, and challah bread. I paid $15.01 for this platter (lol) without a tip for a small scoop of the liver. Just look at the photo. I was shocked to see how small it was. I thought that with a base price of $13.99 that the scoop would be bigger or at least the same size as in the past when it was $9.99. The challah bread was yellow but did not take like challah. Yellow bread slices do not delicious challah bread make--no yeasty flavor as any good challah would have. So here I am regretting that I didn't give chompie's a try. I can assure you that I will not be returning to Goldman's. I know ingredients have gone up but this price for such a small scoop is an affront to the wallet.

As former New Yorker & new transplant to Phoenix I was happy to see a legit Italian deli. I had the…read more#7 Italian Stallion, & my sp had meatball sub. Next time we may decide to share a sandwich bc they were decent sized. After we ate we did some shopping, found a few things that our supermarket didn't carry. We'll be back to try some of the other sandwiches. It was worth the 20 minute drive for us.

Overall, there were definitely more hits than misses. The deli offers an impressive variety of hot foods. The sandwiches coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic, and there are plenty of pasta dishes and traditional Italian entrées available as well. We didn't order a hot meal on this visit, but we'll definitely be back to try one. The market section is also worth browsing. They carry a wide selection of pastas, sauces, olive oils, canned tomatoes, and other Italian staples. My only suggestion would be to expand the specialty pasta selection with options like squid ink, spinach, or roasted red pepper varieties. Of course, we couldn't leave without visiting the bakery case. We brought home an assortment of Italian cookies, a black and white cookie, a Napoleon, chocolate cannolis, and a brownie. The brownie was the one item that didn't impress us, but everything else was delicious and tasted fresh. One thing to be aware of is parking. The lot is quite small, and both we and several other customers ended up parking across the street. It's not necessarily something the business can control, but it's worth mentioning if you're visiting during a busy time. The fact that this shop has been around for decades says a lot about the quality and loyal customer base they've built over the years. Overall, we had a very good experience and are looking forward to returning to explore more of the deli offerings.
