I was…read moreon the tollway, going with the flow of traffic at about 70mph, when I suddenly heard an awful, terrifying, loud metal screeching sound coming from my car. When I was able to exit the tollway & pull over to a safe side street, I looked at the under carriage & found that the metal skid plate that covers & protects the underside of the engine, had come loose & was dragging & scraping the pavement. Knowing that issue creates dangerous sparks & other problems I decided to call AAA. Lucky for me, the tow truck driver suggested Charlie Car Care, and took me & my SUV there. The staff took my car immediately, reattached the skid plate with new bolts, and had me out of there in under an hour! Their price was very reasonable! I expected to pay 3-4x more, so was super pleased when they told me the price. The waiting area is nice & comfortable too. In addition to all that, the staff is super friendly. Madeline and Moises are excellent at customer service. Just like the other reviewers say...they are really professional & very friendly. All the staff members deserve 5 stars! If I lived 40 miles closer, I would definitely go back again. I HIGHLY recommend this business anyone that needs help with their vehicles.

Now here's the thing, yes I thought it was expensive. With a Jiffy Lube coupon (they accept competitor's coupons) it was 36 dollars. I knew I had a coupon at home for NBT for 20, so I was kinda bummed knowing I could have had a cheaper oil change. I am totally sold on this place though. I had my 7 month old with me and I was semi dreading keeping her entertained at an oil change facility. But hey, us moms gotta do what we gotta do. Imagine my surprise when they told me to stay in the car. Um, what? I'm down! They talked me through exactly what they were doing and we were in and out in 10 minutes! One of the technicians made small talk and was beyond friendly as well. I also heard him guiding what seemed like a newer technician to ensure everything was being done correctly. It was one of the best oil change experiences I have had. I know it was more costly than other locations. But, they saved me time and frustration of an oil change.

After the wash, I went into the Valvoline, showed my receipt and asked about it. I was told that I should call the number on the car wash, which I did. After navigating through a number of prompts, I ended up with a message stating that if I wasn't an Everwash member, to contact the location of the car wash. As I was still at Valvoline, I mentioned this. While the receipt was noted that I hadn't received change and a picture was taken of the receipt, nothing was done. I tried submitting a copy of my receipt on the Everwash website, the same one noted by Valvoline that I hadn't received my change, and was told by Everwash that since I wasn't a member, I had to contact the location of the car wash. Lesson learned.....If this is how cash paying customers are treated, how are members treated. As far as Valvoline and their relationship with Everwash, this isn't a good look for either.

Before moving forward with the repair, I decided to investigate further on my own. Within about 30 minutes, I resolved the issue using a $7 cleaner, and the problem was fixed without replacing any parts. Based on this experience, I feel the recommended repair was unnecessary and significantly overpriced. I'm particularly disappointed given that the business presents itself as Christian Brothers Automotive, as I expected a higher level of honesty and transparency. I would strongly encourage others to seek a second opinion before committing to expensive repairs.

Even though I live nearly an hour away, I still will go to them for all my auto repair needs (except oil changes, but even then if I can make it happen I'll go to Car One). There is almost no company or business I can think of that is better at customer service. If I was to right a dissertation on a PHD for "What makes a small business great" it would be about these guys. 1. They never lie to me. I trust them so much that I literally tell them "yes" to anything they say needs to be done to my car. This is due to them building up trust with me over the years to where I don't need to think about if they are trying to rip me off or not. They can see this review, so next time they see me, they COULD rip me off but I know they won't. 2. The customer service skills - they always seem to remember who I am the moment I say my name, even if I have not talked to them in over a year. Now, look at the attached picture. They literally filled out my mail-in-rebate for the tires I got from them. They even included the stamp!! They didn't have to do it, but they offered it without me asking and took care of it for me. 3. Loyalty. Read the other reviews on here. There is one guy who says he drives from Des Moines, IA because he refuses to go anywhere else. That's what it means to be loyal to a business. In Summary - there's no one better out there to work on your car. If you don't go here, it's your loss.
