Late review - This review was in my draft and I completely forgot to post it. I visited them last year in May and was very satisfied with the work. They are good with answering calls and providing regular updates on the car status. Due to a missing part, the delivery of my Car was delayed by a week but they arranged a rental car for me. This auto repair shop has had my vehicle for almost 2 months. For damages on the driver side headlight. Every time I call they said it will be done this week and at the end of the week when I call again they tell me they need it for another week. Which is ridiculous. Either they don't know what they are doing or Continuously lying to me and making my vehicle a non priority. Fiance mistakenly left a ziplock bag full of quarters in the car from a recent poker game. Came back to half the bag missing. I dropped my Honda CR-V off last Tuesday to fix the front end damage. I was promised the following week Tuesday/Wednesday. Much to my surprise, I received a call that same week Friday afternoon to advise my vehicle was done. The car looks GREAT! The service was awesome from the office receptionist to the guy who brought the car out to me. They sent texts advising me status throughout. I just reviewed the photos and wow, they took care of things I never expected like some dings, chips. VERY THOROUGH. I'm expressed and would never go anywhere else after this experience. It was a pleasure and it was one stop shop. Geico's service adjuster was on the spot, Jason. He was super to work with. Enterprise for my rental. She showed me how to use each of the features and even carried my cup of coffee out to the car. I believe her name was Katrina if my memory hasn't failed me. But I do know she was from Florida. I say you guys R-O-C-K!! Thank you so much. Oh....and the work came with a written guarantee for as long as I own the vehicle. So happy I went there. read more

Disappointed that my car was ready for more than days didn't receive a notice that my car was ready. I was the one that to call them and ask them if my car was ready the way I found out was trough my rental car because I had to return it very disappointed they need to get their things in order. read more

OH MY GOD EVERYONE GO HERE. Where do I begin?! Basically this place is amazing -- everyone who works here is kind, intelligent, prompt, and (key for me) able to explain complex car repair/insurance dynamics in understandable terms. Some other key notes: 1) My car was returned to me even better than I found it -- I brought it in for a large scratch on my passenger door, and it seriously looks brand new! However, I also had a small scratch on my fender that I opted to not have repaired -- lo and behold, when I picked up my car, there was a bit of white paint covering it! I was told that there was some "extra paint" so they painted over it just because -- wow! Not to mention that my car was impeccably clean inside and out. 2) Secondly, (and this is the kicker), soon after I picked up my car, I realized that I had dropped my diamond ring (recieved from my parents for college graduation) in my car a couple of weeks prior during a roadtrip. (yes, i know, stupid me for forgetting to retrieve it). I panicked, came home and instantly searched the floors of my car, certain that it had been vacuumed, lost, or (worse), taken. LO AND BEHOLD, there is the ring, sitting under a magazine on my passenger seat. This kind of honesty is hard to find these days -- I was so overwhelmed that I burst into tears. When my car was rear ended the driver at fault was insured by Geico. Geico sent me to Hart's Garage in Downers Grove. These people were great in every way: great customer service, prompt, kept me informed, did a great repair job. Geico partners with Enterprise Car Rental and had the car ready for me at Hart's and I returned the car to Hart's when I picked up my car. My car was vacuumed & there was a little treat bag in the car. The Geico adjuster is on location at Harts and it could not have been more convenient, garage, adjuster, & rental all in one location & one trip. It was a little hard to find because it is located behind a couple of car dealers & the sign is not very big or prominent. I cant say anything about their prices because it was all paid by Geico. I will definitely go to Harts Garage again & recommend them. read more

I needed my rear bumper replaced on a Saturn Vue and parts can be hard to find. I had a couple of other body shops tell me that it would take anywhere from four days to two weeks to get the part in and another day or two to paint and install it. Hart's Garage had the bumper cover in on the same day I brought it in and the job was completed in 24 hours ready to be picked up. I cannot say enough about the excellent quality of their work! They also returned my car with the interior wiped down and vacuumed. The Geico agent, Jason, who was on site was on top everything every step of the way. Enterprise had a car waiting for me and Jason even followed up with a phone call to me to see if everything was satisfactory. I highly recommend Hart's and their prompt and exceptional repair work and service! P.S. Thanks to whoever at Hart's reset my clock to the right time-something I have been meaning to do for months! Fantastic to work with! When I had a deer crash into my car the week before Christmas, all I could think of was what a headache it will be to have it repaired, will it take forever, will I have a rental over the holiday, etc, etc. My experience was completely opposite of everything I had streaming through my head! I took my car in the same day as the accident, I had a rental car ready for me at the time of drop-off, I had a repair estimate that afternoon, a they started the repair work immediately! I received daily texts with status updates. The work was even completed a day earlier than they quoted! Jason at the Geico desk was prompt, detailed, patient, and thorough with his communication. Pretty disappointed with this place. They were actually very nice and helpful when I brought my car in through the Geico Express after I got hit! They fixed my door in less time than they said it would take. I was out of town when it was finished, and so my dad picked it up. He immediately noticed an obnoxious amount of wind noise and drove right back to the shop. They said they would order the part (weather seal I believe). I called when I got back in town to see if they had the part. Kept calling, for weeks actually. Someone always said they would call back and let me know. I guess the part was on backorder, but you need to let your customers know that. I took my car in and they kept it for 3 full days, even though they didn't have the part. "It'll be here tomorrow!" Called the next day, part still wasn't there. I finally said I need my car and picked it up. A week later, part is in, they fix it. The wind noise was gone but they did a really messy job, my window had black tar or gum on the edge and an ugly piece of tape I don't know the purpose of. This whole process, from accident to finish, took about 3 months. Got so fed up by the end I just wanted it to be over. read more

Extremely unhappy with the staff at Hart's Garage. I got into an accident at the end of May, the car sat on the lot for two weeks before someone even looked at it and then they said it would be done within two weeks. Two weeks rolls around and car is no where near finished. My insurance company thought everything was taken car of, until find out a week later that the garage never called to finalize details. Complete lack of communication. Now that everything is done with the insurance company, it's going to be pushed back yet another time for it to be finished. We're going on 6 weeks for this job to be complete when it was supposed to be finished two weeks ago. Very unprofessional and unhappy with how everything has been handled. read more

This garage works closely with Geico and Enterprise, which means they will inflate prices on body work done, to be able to help those two companies mentioned. Understand, they do good body work, often too good. The look for additional problems, to pad the bill and if the insurance company(Geico) feels it is a total loss, Geico won't pay and won't even work with the customer to get it done. Geico rolls over and pays out claim and doesn't fight to get monies from the other party. read more

Exceptional customer service! Clean office and quick service. I received text messages updating me on the status of my car. When I picked my vehicle up my interior and exterior was cleaned, and repair work was great. It was a 1 stop shop since a Geico claim's adjuster and enterprise rep is onsite. I was in a car accident and Geico sent me here. After 8 days of my car being in the shop. When i was given my vehicle back - the main issue from being rear ended which was the gap created between the bumper and trunk was STILL there. I had to ask from them to take it back and fix it. My car mats were thrown all over my belongings in my trunk and not put back. In addition, i am missing a car mat. They were tools and wrappers left in my truck as well. This is the worst experience i have ever had and unpleasant and friendly staff i have encountered. read more

Honestly I took my car here and it was the worst service I ever had..nobody had any idea what was goin on my car was even worse than the service there I had to take it back 3 times and it is still not right and my car smelled like a nasty sweaty guy,it was not locked at all,it was dirty with grease everywhere,they had jus painted the hood and bumper and when I went there I had bird poop on my new paint job and if you know cars you know that it will eat the clear coat...I would never recommend this place to any one worst service I have ever seen read more

Once again a careless driver rear ended my new car on a red light and I was forced to find a place to get my vehicle repaired. I circled in on Hart's Garage as it was close to work and it didn't appear to belong to a chain like CCA or ABRA... Whole experience while dealing with Hart's Garage via Geico proved to be a smooth sail. I am Geico customer since 2008 and I think this was my 4th visit to one such body shops (not all because of me). I knew what to expect and also know how horrible these experience can become.. (read my review of ABRA body shop Schiller park ) but Hart's Garage turned it completely and I am glad once again that I choose Geico express. Jason (Geico rep) met me on scheduled time, was a pleasant guy to deal with, explained the process quick , enterprise was ready with my rental, I was in and out of the place within 15 mins . They finished the repairs ahead of schedule and work appeared like quality work to me.. My major complaint last time (While dealing with ABRA Schiller Park ) was that even Geico rep didn't bother to do a quality check after the work was done. This time I got a note from Jason placed in car that he has done a quality check personally. It was assuring. I think I am a satisfied customer this time both from Geico and Harts and can recommend it to others.. These guys are great! They made getting rear-ended painless. The GEICO claims guy was fast and professional. Got me a rental within 5 minutes. In and out in under 15 mins. And when my repairs were done, I was shocked when I picked up my car that not only was it fixed, but the filthy beast had been thoroughly cleaned inside and out. I cannot tell you how impressed I am with Hart's Garage. They do amazing work. I took my car in about 6 months ago for some work and they did a fantastic job at a great price. I had a little front fender issue and my dad took my car over to see if it could be fixed or replaced and they were so nice -- they just popped it back in place at no charge. Due to a recent incident, I had to have body shop repair work done on back of my car plus back glass window replacement which had been shattered completely. I found Jason, GEICO representative stationed at Hart's Garage Body Shop on Ogden Avenue, to be very helpful and chose to go along with his recommendation of doing the repairs at their shop. Although NO body shop REPAIR work was done and I cannot rate them on that aspect, my car's back metal parts were REPLACED with a similar used car and since my back glass window had been shattered it needed also to be REPLACED. They did an excellent job in REPLACING the metal parts and painting them and also REPLACING the back glass window through an outside help. Their work gets a full 5 however timing gets a 4 since they changed their delivery date. The delivery date was on a Friday, they told me I can pick up my car on Monday, however I had to ask for a free rental for the 3 days and they agreed, I wish they would have offered automatically without me asking. we had a car repaired at harts. we were told 4 days easy repair. than 14 days later we got it back. than had to go back because it was still damaged. also a week later had to return again because the headlight filled with water after we were told it was replaced. now we have to go back cause paint is starting to rust after 3 months. this car was hit by a sofa and only has 50k miles on it. so if you have any choice do NOT go here. it has been a nightmare! also has taken so much longer than should have by their own estimate. took 18+ days and still isn't correct. DONT GO TO HARTS IF YOU WANT IT DONE CORRECTLY read more
