Located in the back of the Buena Park Mall. You'll walk past 'The Kicken' Crab' then follow the trail to right into the food hall. Unfortunately, Fuego is the only restaurant in the hall at this time. Parking is typical mall parking. You'll walk a bit but not an issue. Fuego had a grand opening special so we tried a few items. Here's my review from top to bottom. 1. Spanish Rice: score 8/10 - Tasted like from my family's kitchen. 2. Street Dog: score 7.5/10 - Satisfied my craving for a bacon wrapped hot dog. Get the jalapeños on the side if you don't like spice. 3. Tamales: score 7.5/10 - Ordered one of each (Chicken, Red Pork, Cheese). Passed the moistness requirement and good size. Chicken had a spicy kick. 4. Birria Tacos: score 7/10 - It appears Birria is their specialty item. Although the beef passed the tenderness test, it lacked flavor along with the Consome. 5. Surf & Turf Taco: score 6.5/10 - Shredded cheese + shrimp but they failed to include the Turf (meat). 6. Refried Beans: score 6/10 - Didn't taste homemade but the shredded cheese helped them out. 7. Street Tacos: score 4/10 - The carne asada may have been the bottom of the batch. It was dry, hard and lacked flavor. The al pastor was different than what you'll experience at your typical taco truck. I would pass on this. Final score: 3.5/5. Fuego has a good concept but has room for improvement. read more

Me and my daughter came here and got street taco special with a drink and breakfast burrito. So good the food was fresh and clean. My daughter is very picky and she finished everything on the plate. She loved the pineapple drink too very refreshing. The burrito came out hot and delicious, they pack the meat it was alot, it was good with the there homemade salsa! I called in couple items for togo so here is the review Tacos: Asada 8/10 good Amount of meat but meat a bit dry Buena Park : 5/10 it's ok nothing stands out. Meat smell freezer burn Breakfast : 3/10 it was very dry. Meat (asada smell freezer burn ) very little egg and barely any cheese Enchilada plate: 6/10. Not enough green sauce but overall the only thing good about it been and rice they both are very flavorful Meat quesadilla: 8/10 this is prob the best even though it a bit salty and meat asada smell freezer burn but it one of the best item out of all the one we ordered Also I asked for more salsa and the person that handed me the food said he gave me some in the bag turns out all the items we ordered we only have 3 small prob 1 oz or less salsa. Loved this hidden gem! We got the cheese enchilada plate and the chilaquiles burrito. Both were great. Loved the complimentary red and green sauces (red was refreshing salsa vibe, green was spicy!) If I could leave a zero, I would. The food was not good at all. I had a carne asada plate and it was very greasy, the meat was very thin and fatty. The beans taste like canned beans. My husband got a couple different plates, enchiladas and chilaquiles. Those were not as bad as the asada but still not good. We ordered guacamole and that was HORRIBLE. The tacos and nacho were packed with meat and the best deals are the specials which included a free drink. We had the pineapple aqua fresca, which was on the sweet side. I think this place just opened in the grange hall 39 area at the Buena Park mall. It's near the theater. They're currently doing a 50% promotion until 11/15, so that's pretty awesome! They're serving restaurant food at food truck prices right now, so I'd go check them out so you can try their different items. My wife and I went and got the enchilada plate and the chilaquile burrito. The enchiladas were pretty good. The tell of a Mexican restaurant for me is the beans, and the beans on the enchiladas plate was pretty good. They were smooth and went well with the enchiladas. My burrito was also pretty good. Food came out quick so my chilaquiles were still nice and crunchy. They also gave us two bottles of red and green salsa. Red salsa was very refreshing. My wife said the green was spicy, but I didn't think so. Overall, pretty good and I'd check them out because the food is good and the prices are EXTREMELY good right now. They where kind to alter my chilaquiles order, for the meat I added birria. Let me tell you it was amazingly tasty. My girl friend had the quesabirria tacos. They have Mexican sodas and aguas frescas. To end our girls brunch we had the churro bites! They were glazed with cajeta and brown sugar. The churros were crispy but soft inside as they should be.
