My wife had hyped this place up, so we decided to check it out with the family. It's located in a small shopping complex, and when we arrived on a Thursday night, there were about 3-5 people dining in. The atmosphere was great--a nice mix of booths, bar tables, and regular tables. They do serve beer and liquor, which is a plus. I'll start by saying the key lime pie was definitely good--on the tangy side, but worth a try. I ordered the loaded fries, but honestly, they didn't meet my expectations. They came with fresh jalapeño slices, some fries, cilantro, and a type of cheese, all served on steel platters. They were okay, but nothing spectacular. We also ordered the 10 wings for $17.95, which came with a choice of two sauces. We went with mango and hot. A word of warning: the hot sauce is extremely spicy--coming from someone who eats a lot of hot food, it was intense. I can't even imagine how spicy the level above hot must be! However, the wings themselves were very charred, which made them dry and less enjoyable. The quarter leg peri-peri chicken was the highlight of the night. It was charred perfectly, with a great lime flavor. Hands down, the best thing we had. They offer fountain drinks served in glass, which was a nice touch, and several flavors to choose from. I'd recommend trying the mandarin cardamom drink--it was unique and refreshing. Overall, the food was okay. While the vibe of the place was great, the flavors in most of the dishes just didn't stand out. With a few drinks or shots, you might enjoy it more, but without them, the food was pretty average. Excited to have some good chicken for dinner! I decided to do a chicken kabob bowl which came with big chunks of chicken, peppers, onions over a bed of rice. I got the mild chicken which has good flavor! Peppers and onions were caramelized and the rice had a nice spice profile. There was a ton of rice in proportion to the meat and veggies. I also got a side of fries to go. The cashier asked me if I wanted the peri Peri seasoning. I said sure? Not know what it was I asked for it to be on the side. Come to find out to get a small container of seasoning on the side it cost $1.25. I didn't really like the seasoning...I wish she would have told me it would cost extra. Overall meal was okay. I had to downgrade my assessment of Fuego Peri Peri. I was so excited to try the lamb burger. After I opened up the packaging, I was disappointed by the processed appearance of the lamb. The bun was outstanding, but the lamb tasted like a burger from McDonalds. Though, I have not had a burger from McDonals in about twenty years. Peri peri fans have a reason to rejoice now that Fuego Peri Peri has (re?) opened. It's conveniently located across the street from the Christiana Hospital and adjacent to the Home Depot and is in a small shopping center next to a liquor store, florist, and a salon. So you can get your hair done, eat some wonderful chicken, take home flowers and get drunk. Preferably in that order. If you were familiar with the former Piree's Piri Piri that was in the Shops at Limestone Hills that closed in 2018 you will feel right at home because much of the menu is the same and tastes just as good. We tried the Piri Piri chicken with corn on the cob which was juicy (even the white meat) and perfectly cooked. We both had the grilled corn which was perfectly grilled and I had the sweet potato fries which were delicious. My wife tried to go with a healthy side and tried the cauliflower rice but she was admittedly not a big fan of. Granted Fuego no longer has the edamame on the menu like the old Piree's (or the electronic soda machine that perpetually malfunctioned) but they do have lamb burgers and other new items that we're looking forward to trying. But we're really looking forward to trusting the lamb burgers. The employees were super friendly and our food was expertly packed to go in a take out bag with all of the food kept separately. Do make sure you ask for extra sauce (their mango lime is to die for) and if you're eating in your mobile dining room like we did, ask for some plates because the chicken is served in these genius foil wrapped bags to keep the chicken warm but unless you want your car to look like your hands, ask for some plates (they have these great heavy duty Chinet ones) so your lap and your car is distinguishable from your finger licking good hands. read more

I found this place just looking for something new on yelp! I thought this looked unique. If you like spice this is your place! We ordered a wrap, wings, fries, and a rice bowl. Everything was made to order and they even gave us a ton of sauces to try. I can't handle spice myself but my boyfriend said that the Medium was on the hotter side. I say this only because the side salad we got was much smaller than expected. Overall the food wasn't bad, we got the lemon and herb chicken, my friend and I split the meal, we had to ask for additional sauces and condiments.
