We did an online order of a chicken power bowl, chicken mediterranean bowl, 5 wings, and garlic bread. Both bowls were missing avocado and cheese, the 5 wings cost $11 and were not fully cooked, waste of money IMO. The only plus was the garlic bread. Our first visit to Fuego and we enjoyed our meal. Everything was fresh and the service was prompt. We ordered the family platter and we we're not disappointed in the taste or portions served. We were so excited to try this place since we've really missed the piri piri place that was here previously and we're always looking for a quick but healthy option. Unfortunately this will be the last time we come here. The menu is completely underwhelming, but has the basics so we figure no prob, they probably just slay. Nope. The two starts are for the flavor of the piri piri sauce on our chicken (and they were out of all but three of the flavors) and the hummus and pita starter. The "steamed" vegetables were cold and seemed to still be a bit frozen (definitely not fresh), the 1/4 chicken my husband got was the size of a Cornish Game Hen and the "boneless chicken breast" I got was at best half of a normal (perhaps previously frozen) chicken breast. The chicken is absolutely delicious, but the service is ATROCIOUS. One time I went and there was no line. There was just a woman messing around in the kitchen area. She ignored me for a full 10 minutes and wouldn't even take my order. Finally I left. The second time I went, I ordered on line thinking it would eliminate the problem of waiting. Well, it did not. When I went to pick up the READY order there was a couple in front of me taking FOREVER to order and the man working was just taking his time with them. After 5 minutes I asked if I could just pick up my order (which I could see if n the shelf). He told me to give him A few minutes. After another 5 minutes i asked him for a refund. He continued to refuse to help me until the couple ordering in front just told him to just give it to me. It took him literally 5 seconds. The employees here have a passive aggressive problem than needs to be fixed ASAP if they want the business to survive. Every other restaurant has a self to pick up your order yourself. read more

I should have known when I walked into a totally empty restaurant.... First timer. Told the young women working the counter it was my first time, and she just mumbled something about the menu. Ok, I ordered a half piece of chicken with hot sauce and some macaroni, and a soda. I was told what table to go to vs picking one of the many available? I sat for about 15 minutes waiting, wondering why. I drank my soda - which was also just their brands (all terrible). I laughed as the same young women placed it on the table. I said to her, "that's it for $13.00". I had bigger chicken McNuggets. She was clueless and just mumbled again ( this was after a tip that I provided at the register, which is something I never usually do). Oh, and not one thank you for the tip. I tasted the cold mac and cheese which had a watery coating one it, and was not happy. The 3" piece of chicken was slopped around in cold sauce that was absolutely disgusting. I got up and told the same young women how much I disliked the food and she kinda just smirked. Never again. Waste of money. See the size portion compared to the fork. Somehow I got a mixed flavor, my husband got lemon pepper and the lemon pepper made its way into my chicken along with the seasoning I ordered. I will give the place another try, I'm not sure if the chicken is cooked to order, If that is why our chicken was dry, but it was a very small thin piece of chicken. Very authentic main dishes with customized spiciness range for customers to pick from so food comes prepared to suit your level of palate comfort which is a big plus. We ordered the family platter with Medium on the spiciness scale and it turned out exactly right. Quite reasonable pricing for a meal or 4 with serving size sufficient for each individual. Disappointingly sides are all run of the mill usual American dishes, like corn on the cob, coleslaw, fries etc. Even though well prepared the meal would have been better with more authentic accompaniments. Clean, well managed seating area though not a lot of eat in customers perhaps because it was a Tuesday evening. Excellent staff was efficient, polite and very responsible. Food was served BBQ restaurant fashion in newsprint covered trays but with stone wear plates & actual silverware provided. Since most items on the menu are grilled & most folks would use their fingers to eat perhaps providing hand wipes would help. Looked like there was quite a variety of intriguing fruit juice combos which we didn't try so can't speak to their quality. Next time, because we'll certainly be visiting again. read more

My boyfriend & I went here for dinner this week for the first time. We ordered the nachos, the 10 piece wing, the chicken wrap and the sweet potato fries. Everything was decent except the wings which were very soggy. A couple of the wings had been grilled more and were a bit charred and those ones were much better... I hate when chicken wings have flabby or rubbery skin. The food cost us about $52 and I thought that was really overpriced considering what we got. The taste of the sauce was good though. The girls at the counter were really nice and helpful and overall service was good. That said, we got there around 8 and we're eating still around 8:25-8:30 and they started putting the chairs up at the unoccupied tables. There were 4 tables that had people at them still so we weren't the only ones still eating. The process of putting the chairs up was very loud and made us feel rushed while we were trying to finish our dinner.
