I came here tonight during a busy Saturday evening a decided to try Mediterranean food. Upon ordering I was met with a girl who just looked like she hated her job is the best way to describe it l. As I was deciding what to order so had the same stinky look on her face, i told her sorry as I was deciding between a bowl or plate no suggestion or help there. Just silicone. Ok ended up buying the plate. I received my food and asked for garlic sauce and the employee who took my order said it was in the bag. Ok cool I took her word for it. I go sit down it's not in the bag. I go back to ask for it and I'm ignored till I said excuse me and then asked for sauce she said "I put one in the bag" I said well it's not in there I never got one. She proceeds to help another customer and a cook comes up to help me and is about to give me the sauce when I think the manager stops her like oh she already got one. I said no I didn't you can walk outside and check my bag I wouldn't walk all the way back in if I had already got one. I was offended like really over a sauce? That I didn't get to begin with! Sorry for the long post but point is customer service was terrible and I was basically called a liar. I take integrity very seriously if I wanted an extra one I would've paid for it. I don't look for freebies. Oh and the food was tasteless no flavor on the chicken kabobs rice was plain hummus was alright. Fries were generic and the baklava wasn't fresh it was hard. Just go to Zankou chicken the food is delicious and they treat you the way they should and aren't.stingy and offending their customers. read more

Food lab is a buzzing place and seems like a new place and a great concept. We tried the potatoes and the cauliflower appetizer. They were both good and the right amount of salt. Wish the quantity on the cauliflower was good but the lemon dressing was really good. read more

If you like Kafta Kabobs with the circumference of a pinky, this might be the spot for you. Came here on a Saturday night so this may be a result of quality control on a busy night. Before diving into the food review, sanitation was something to be desired. One of the cooks did not know how to wear a mask properly, only covering his mask while his nose was in full view. Maybe the smell of kabobs were too hard to resist so they had to keep it down, but seeing that definitely left a dent on my overall experience. The Kabobs (Chicken & Kafta) were seasoned to a passable point and the garlic paste was great. But some shortcoming lies in dryness of the meat and most importantly, the undercooked rice. read more

My cousin told me about this place so I decided to try it out last night I ordered the chicken and beef your mom and their fried cauliflower dish. I ordered online my order was supposed to arrive in 30 minutes and Surprisingly arrived in 20 minutes the prices were very reasonable and the food was very good I cried a little bit about the chicken as well as the beef Shawarma they were both really good my favorite was their chicken Shawarma I just did it right amount of spice and garlic in it. The pita bread was really good and the best part of my dinner was the fried cauliflower you guys you need to try the fried cauliflower with the lemon it is so good I ordered two and I ate both of them lol. read more

This place use to be good. The chicken shawarma was dry and they warm up the wrap on the griddle which makes it even drier. The hummus was not tasty this time. I went recently with the homies to the one in downtown riverside. If anyone has ever been downtown you know parking is not ideal. You cant even park at the public library. There is however a parking structure where you can park for 90 mins fo' free. I hear it's free all night from 0530 pm. I wish I had known this then. I had the beef sharwarma and it tasted really good. Very small portion size and it cost $7 sans refreshments. Here I am hyperventilating because I parked at a residential street with 90 minutes of parking, I had to gobble up my feast in a hurry because it gets dark at 1715 hours these days and I'm afraid my car will get towed. Its a miracle I could even taste it seeing how quickly the meal was usurped. It was generally a positive experience. I see a fufu's in the near future. I'll probably go after 1730 because I like to eat with the beaux and I definitely need more than 90 mins. read more

Cannot express the disappointment/anger that I experienced while dining here. My sister is a dedicated vegan, and we came knowing that they had vegan kafta. We ordered the vegan kafta and also ordered a falafel plate (this place is only saved from a zero-star review because the falafel was good). We got the food quickly, but as soon as my sister tasted her food, she said it tasted weird. Upon further inspection, it was MEAT SHAWARMA! There was no debate on whether or not this was meat; it had a grain and irony taste. We also had our 2 carnivore parents confirm that it was indeed meat. We went back in to have them remake it, and they gave her MEAT KAFTA (also confirmed by parents) AND NO REFUND! The manager was not even apologetic. Clearly not one person has an understanding of the word "vegan." After going back the second time to return the food, we were finally refunded and informed that they DON'T HAVE A VEGAN KAFTA. If this is true, then why is it on the menu? Seriously, do better. read more

I've been to Fufu three times so far. It's located in The Food Lab, which is a large and busy food court that has lots of amazing restaurants packed in it. Fufu's menu is so delicious and the portions are huge! They serve traditional Lebanese food and are family-owned and operated. I ordered the $11.95 Beef Kabob Bowl with some garlic sauce added. It comes with a generous portion of seasoned chunks of beef kabob meat (the skewers were removed) and plenty of rice. My order was hot, fresh, and made right in front of me. There wasn't anywhere to sit since we came during the dinner rush around 7pm and it was really busy. It's a casual place to just eat and go, not really a sit-down restaurant kind of vibe. My brother ordered the Beef Shawarma Pita Wrap and he loved it! We always try to come back here whenever we're in the area. I definitely recommend coming here to check out the incredible food. The food was great, nicely seasoned and reasonably sized portions. Our cashier, though, Joe H, could not be more rude. He had horrible attitude throughout our interaction at the cashier's. He genuinely looked like he didn't want to be there, wouldn't make eye contact, and answered our questions about the menu with an awful attitude. As I was ordering my toppings he walked away to grab something for the customer behind me, not once but twice. I ordered DoorDash and gave special instructions on the option given by the restaurant. And when I got my order it was all incorrect. Which left me very disappointed so I went on the door Dash app and there's nothing they can do about it but give me a three dollar refund so I called the restaurant and I was put on hold I didn't get a hello anything just please hold and I hear a bunch of people talking in the background so I'm assuming they're busy talking laughing and it's six minutes now so I hang up and call back and the same girl answers and says hello how can I help you and I said can I please speak to a manager and without putting the phone on hold she very smart says somebody wants to speak to a manager I'm pretty sure she's upset because I put her on hold and I totally forgot about her so then that made me upset. The food here is good. Just disappointed for the little things. Can't charge $18 for a 3 kabob plate, and give 1 pita and one sauce. Then charge thereafter. So I'm gonna preface this by saying that maybe I just don't like Middle Eastern food. The Middle East has a lot of different of different countries, but whatever country this food is from, I didn't like. I pretty much either didn't like or was indifferent to everything I tried here. I came here because my mom told me to come by for dinner with my sister. I'm a fan of döner kebab and gyros although that's Turkish and Greek respectively, so I looked it up before ordering and shawarma was supposedly an Arab equivalent according to Wikipedia, so I got a shawarma and kafta. After a really long wait, we get our food and I take a bite of the shawarma. It's gross and tastes nothing like a döner kebab or a gyro. I don't know how to describe it, but there's just a weird sourness to it which grosses me out. I forced myself to finish it because it'd be a waste. The kafta was pretty dry and bland, but I ate it with the shawarma to make it more palatable. Bland is better than gross I guess. I don't understand how people can rate such bad tasting food so highly. Not to mention the wait is ridiculously long for a place where you order from a counter. read more

Why I love fufu's: We show up at 1205. The party ordering in front of us was ten people, the party in front of them (now seated) was six people. My wife and I order and MAGICALLY there are two additional kitchen folks walking in to help prepare the orders. EVERY DELICIOUS ORDER WAS COMPLETE IN 15 minutes!!!!! Unbelievable!!!! This is by far the best Middle Eastern food we've had in Southern California! You have to have the fresh pita with garlic sauce. There is nothing like having fresh baked Pita straight out of the oven to eat with my TOUM - Service was fabulous too! I have to travel 30 minutes to get here but it is so worth it We had the beef kabob with hummus and stuffed grape leaves. The beef was cooked to Perfection, I normally like mine medium because it gets so tough but they cooked it all the way through and it still tasted fabulous - very moist. Stuffed grape leaves are small but have a great flavor. And the hummus was excellent. I normally don't even bother with rice but even the rice is delicious here. Portions were generous. My husband and I split the plate and were both perfectly satisfied. This place earns every Star. read more

This is a great Middle Eastern restaurant. It was tucked in a corner of the food court. I ordered the kefta plate that came with rice and two sides. My sides were potatoes and tabouli salad. I'm going to say the potatoes were outstanding and I wish I could have more. The garlic sauce that comes with it was very flavorful and not too strong. The kefta was up there in quality but not the best I've eaten. It was just missing something that I can't put my finger on. I soaked it with the sauce. Crunchy (raw) COLD chicken in my kabob bowl. Total fail. I had a takeout order for a chicken kabob bowl and was disappointed when I bit into the soggy, cold onions and the ALSO COLD, crunchy chicken. This was despite eating it very soon after the order was COMPLETE (not picked up, but actually complete). My husband picked up something from Baba's chicken at the same time and it was warm and cooked. We called and the restaurant would not do anything for us unless we drove back and took a replacement order. Unfortunately, I am traveling and I can't just turn back. Update: I've always enjoyed the food here. Fresh and delicious. Today I had an experience that didn't start off right but was resolved by the service team. Context: Hectic day, very early flight next morning, wife and I were starving and didn't have anything at home. So instead of giving into McDonalds we decided to do a Fufu's run as she waited with the baby outside. Got a couple wraps. Unfortunately for me I wasn't aware there was a very large order ahead of me until after a while. Turns out it would still be a while further before they got to mine. The service team understood my stressful predicament and quickly helped us out. It was handled well. 5/5 will return. The kafta wrap was superb read more

I ordered the beef kabob plate with 2 sides yesterday. The sides were good but the rice was okay, not much flavor. The beef kabobs is what was disappointing. The beef was not cooked to their advertised medium, it was well done. The meat was tough and the sizes of the meat pieces were different. Some of the tomatoes and onions were larger in size than the meat. Will not order from here again..on to looking for another Med restaurant! read more

While I did enjoy coming to this place, it was not my favorite thing ever. I ordered a Chicken Shawarma wrap here. I definitely enjoyed it but it wasn't my favorite. Comparing it to other places, I definitely had places I enjoyed more. I definitely still think that this place is a great addition to the food lab and might be better than half your choices there. Everything I've had at the food lab so far has been fairly mediocre and none of the places have really urged me to come back. Honestly though, I think Fufu's is one of my new top options when I come there. I still definitely would come again and maybe try something new :) Price wise: A lot cheaper than your other food lab options lol. Staff wise: Meh.
