Just had dinner here an hour ago with my son and our Buffalo State University college family for a pre- mom's day dinner. Great great service and dinner. When I went to the location on Maple Rd, it was delicious, this was bad. Same with the Tonkatsu Pork. It was soooo good on Maple, but this one, on Transit, not good. The birthday girl is gluten free. we told the waitress before ordering and again asked when served our salads to make sure. after eating our soup and salad our chef arrives to cook our meals. we again mention the gluten allergy. he proceeds to prepare to cook and mentions that the salad dressing has gluten in it. Gyoza - Chicken 6/10 I usually get pork, but didn't realize these were chicken until I bit into it. The chicken was more bland than pork and no celery/onion inside with it either. Just plain ground chicken. They were also not crispy, they were more steamed.. Would like them to be more fried on all sides and crispy. Hibachi Dinner 8/10 Good. I just always wish there was less zucchini and more broccoli. They also don't give you a crap ton of rice/noodles when you sit at a regular table. Was expecting a little more rice. Haven't been here in a while... seems like nothing has changed since last time ,once again ended up here with a group for a birthday celebration, the food itself was ok but the cook ‍ once again was very lackluster he didn't say anything ,I also don't remember him doin any fancy stuff also he completely ignored us when we asked that onion not be added to the vegetables, he still cut that onion up and mixed it on in there. This is my mom's favorite restaurant, so it's where she chose to go for Birthday #84. The staff treated her like a queen, which thrilled her to the core. We didn't call ahead, but our server did ask if we were celebrating anything special. Pretty clever question. It forces you to consider them for when you ARE celebrating an event. Well played, Fuji Grill. Mom wanted to be entertained, so she chose the hibachi table. We were seated immediately, but we had to wait a hot minute for a chef to become available. That gave Mom & me time to talk about how I'm her favorite child, so that was nice. The server offered Mom a special free mixed drink for her birthday, but Mom declined, which was for the best because when the alcohol hits Mom, she's dancing on tables. And since these tables have actual grills on them, that would have caused some serious burning. The server offered her a Shirley Temple instead, and Mom enjoyed the heck out of that! Our chef did not disappoint. He was a great entertainer & wished my mom a happy birthday no fewer than 12 times during the entire "show." She giggled every time. It was great! I try to stick to keto, and there aren't very many options for that unless you're super-specific. I chose double vegetables instead of rice, and didn't think to tell them no sauce until I watched the chef douse them with it. We visited at 1 PM on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my husband's birthday and really enjoyed our experience! This was a great time to come, as there was only one other group in the building so we had plenty of space. I was also impressed by the number of hibachi tables at this location, 12 I believe! There was no one around us at all, which definitely helped allow us to enjoy our experience. The food was good, albeit very saucy. I enjoyed this, but not all may. I ordered scallops as I pretty much always do at hibachi. They were a bit smaller than those I have had on other recent hibachi experiences but there was a good number and they were cooked well and were tasty. Our most recent visit to Fuji Grill was in the late afternoon which lead to very few people being there. This suited me just fine since I'm currently not terribly comfortable yet with dining inside a restaurant. They take all the necessary required precautions which helps my comfort level. Service was good. On this visit I got chicken pad thai and my husband a sesame chicken, with a dragon roll to share. It was the first time having their pad thai. During this visit, in addition to an assortment of sushi, I decided to order Chinese. I ordered Sesame Chicken extra spicy. The portion was very generous. I know that what they actually served me was General Tso's Chicken without the sesame seeds. You don't realize how much the sesame seeds add to the flavor until they are not on the dish. Fuji Grill makes me feel happy every time I visit. They truly satisfy my needs for what I crave. When I saw today that my favorite sushi chef will take care of my order I was thrilled. I love the 'Out of Control' special roll and anything with eel, but honestly, everything you decide to have is outstanding. My partner is a huge fan of soba noodle NY Strip Steak soup. He says it's a hidden gem. With pieces of good quality, grilled meat makes it a hearty and satisfying meal. Don't be discouraged if you see this place being too quiet during the daytime hours. Another super solid Fuji location! We've been a few times and have always had a good experience. Last night, we stopped by at around 6:15 and were able to be seated right away which was awesome. They have both hibachi seating and regular seating here, and there's plenty of it. My only complaint is that it's a little loud! The service is really great at this location too! The sushi kitchen was a little backed up last night but we still got in and out in a timely manner. We started with soup which was good. Then, of course, we were in the mood for some sushi. My spicy tuna and salmon rolls were delicious. I tried my boyfriend's salmon skin roll and I was pretty in awe. I've never had it before and it was so flavorful! Driving around waiting a reservation at another restaurant (delayed), we drove by Fuji. Instead of waiting 1 1/2 hours for our original res, I called and was told no wait for the regular seating. We turned around and went in. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server came over quickly to take our drink order. We ordered drinks, and according to my son, it was the best drink menu he's ever seen. The drinks were delish. We ordered edamame, spicy tuna roll, and shrimp tempura roll for an app, it came out quickly and everything was really fresh and good. My sons ordered sesame chicken, chicken Lo mein, and beef Lo mein. I had pineapple fried rice and my husband had chicken lettuce wraps. The portions were huge. We took a lot home. Delighted to accidentally come across this Fuji Grill. We're big fans of the Fuji Grill on Maple and had no idea this identically named restaurant had the same owner. Located right across from Eastern Hills Mall, this restaurant serves up similar, top quality sushi. Unlike the Maple Road location, the menu is broader, including Chinese dishes and a Hibatchi menu where, like a Benihana, someone would cook the food in front of you. The restaurant was fairly empty when we showed up around 7pm, but we were warmly welcomed. When we asked about the relationship to the other Fuji Grill, of course, we had to put them to the sushi test and order a Sushi/Sashmi Boat. The Boat came out in a large bowl - they apologized because they didn't have a serving boat. Sashi was good quality with nice knife work. The sushi was also very good. California roll good. Only the odd roll was off-putting - it was like a deep fried tempura shrimp sandwiched with a tofu layer and then a layer of rice - unlike anything I've ever had at the other Fuji Grill or any sushi restaurant. But overall, good service, good food, nice presentation. We now have another good sushi option when were shopping up and down Transit. Hopefully this Fuji Grill will survive long enough to when Eastern Hills is renovated into the much anticipated mixed use community. read more

Appetizer was good an hot yummy but the service was slow an the business was slow at lunchtime first inclination it was terrible.
