Had the Fuji Ramen. It came fast and was delicious!!

I came here for lunch with my family and it was delicious! We were seated quickly. I ordered the Fuji ramen for myself and it was delicious. My 7 year old got the noodles and broth while my mother in law got hibachi. It all came out quickly and all was delicious!!

I came here one random Monday and I had great service and the food was really good! We started off with spicy edamame, coconut shrimp and Fuji wings. I also started with a Thai tea which was delicious. The coconut shrimp had a creamy sauce which was different but interesting. The wings were so fresh and hot and I loved the sauce on the edamame. The hibachi was tender and flavorful. I definitely will be back to try the ramen!

Food was 4/10 at best. Very bland. Rice was just fried with some egg. Steak had no flavor and was cooked to a quite chewy consistency when asked for it to be rare. The chicken, however, did have a teriyaki type sauce on it that was good. Veggies and noodles also had no flavor. I was the only customer in the building and I get why. I will give them 5 stars for service, cleanliness and food presentation though. It does "look" good on that plate. I think they just need to use some seasonings, butter, garlic and soy sauce like every other hibachi place.

Tasty ramen and appetizers. Ordered the pork gyoza and the crab cheese wontons in addition to ordering the chicken shoyu ramen and trying their Hell's Spicy ramen special. The pork gyoza was a great appetizer and offered it as steamed or fried. The Shoyu ramen could be ordered with pork or chicken base/protein. The Hell's Spicy ramen was very tasty and was offered in different spice levels from 1-20. Food overall was very savory and flavorful. The portions were just right for the price. Restaurant had immediate seating and staff were very friendly. Offered a wide selection of alternative food options other than just ramen as well. The restaurant was very clean and overall a good atmosphere.

Been seeing this place as I drive by, finally have a chance to try it since I love . I love all the natural light coming from the wall of windows. The decor is really simple. I can tell my server is new to the industry and is trying his best to adapt. Doing well so far, he's very kind and humble. Ok now the food.. we got pork katsu(curry) and black garlic tonkatsu. My was pretty good. Noodle had a nice chew to it , soft but not too soft. Pork was nicely cooked and seared. The marinated egg tasted nice, only downfall to egg was that it was a 7 minute boil, gooey yolk. My son had the kids tonkatsu and we added Naruto (fish cake ) and a side of shrimp tempura. He loves the broth; loved it enough to drink most of the broth, kinda rare of him(7 year old). I'll definitely come back! And you get a scratch off! And who doesn't like a scratch off??

The food was good and came out very quickly. We got the pork bao buns which were good but could have had more meat on them. The Fuji ramen had good flavor and is on the spicier side. The black garlic ramen was my favorite. Great flavor. Could do without the corn in it. Server was attentive and quick. Inside was very nice and they also have outside seating.

The egg yolk was jammy and felt good in my mouth, and the meat was crispy edged but soft and tender inside! The meat had such a delicious charred flavor that made even the fat tasty! They also have taiyaki. My server was also very good! She was polite, attentive, and put effort into making sure I had a good experience! (I think her name was Kate?) As well as the other staff who were also very polite and accommodating! Finally, the ambiance was quite nice. The Japanese style decor is fitting and the restaurant was clean with comfortable seating. Would recommend!

I ordered the Bang Bang Salad because it sounded amazing on the menu. It came with a variety of fresh raw fish and was described as having a wasabi cream sauce. As a sushi lover, I was excited and expecting at least a little heat from the wasabi, but unfortunately it wasn't spicy at all. There was also no wasabi, soy sauce, or other condiments included, which was disappointing. I ordered it without rice, and I didn't realize that meant the bowl would be heavily filled with cucumbers. Since I personally don't like cucumbers, that was a letdown. I wish there had been an option to remove them or substitute something else. Had I known, I probably would have kept the rice and simply not eaten it. The fish itself was fresh, which I definitely appreciated, but the portions felt a little skimpy for the price. That said, part of the cost may have been influenced by ordering through Uber Eats. The menu looks really good overall, and I'm willing to give Hangout another try. Next time I'll probably visit in person and order earlier in the day. Since this was a late-night delivery order, that may have contributed to some of the issues. For now, I'd give it another chance, but my first experience was a bit underwhelming.

After I was diagnosed with Gluten Intolerance as a foodie I thought my culinary life was over and one of the many, but not only joys, of going to Nola is the food. I was reluctant to go and then a bit later 20 years ago Katrina hit this great city. When I did return my reluctance of going due to my food restrictions was born out, but the fact that the people in New Orleans fry everything, including water. Besides jambalaya and some fresh fish, I couldn't eat anything. However, due to a friend who was born in New Orleans, grew up in New Orleans and lives half of the year there with her family involved in the restaurant business, Pat introduced me for a number of chefs and one in particular, Michael Gulotta, who modified dishes or even made me specially dishes that were gluten free. Every time I went to New Orleans, I tried to go to his two Vietnamese Cajun restaurants, MoPho and Maypop. Michael Gulotta, chef-owner at Mopho and Maypop was born and raised in New Orleans. Michael began cooking in local restaurants at a young age. After graduating from the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute, he joined the newly opened Restaurant August. Gulotta then took leave to train in the Italian Riviera and Germany's Black Forest. When Hurricane Katrina hit, Michael returned home to help rebuild and assist with August's re-opening. He was named chef de cuisine in 2007 and led the award-winning kitchen for six years, while establishing relationships with local farmers and purveyors. He opened his first restaurant, MOPHO, in January of 2014 with his brother, Jeffrey Gulotta, and high-school friend, Jeffrey Bybee. Located in New Orleans' Mid City, MOPHO was a true neighborhood restaurant and a destination for Southeast Asian inspired cuisine utilizing the Louisiana pantry. In its first year MOPHO was nominated for America's Best New Restaurant by Bon Appétit magazine and named Restaurant of the Year by New Orleans Magazine. In 2016 Michael was named one of Top 30 Chefs to Watch in the nation by Plate Magazine, A New Orleans Rising Star by Starchefs, a Best New Chef by Food & Wine magazine, and Chef of the Year by New Orleans Magazine. In 2017, his team opened its second full-service restaurant, Maypop, in the Central Business District of New Orleans. Maypop was named a Top 5 Best New Restaurant by The Times Picayune, A Best New Restaurant by New Orleans Magazine, a New Orleans Top 20 Restaurants by Condé Nast Traveler, and a New Orleans' Top Ten Restaurants for 2019, by Brett Anderson. Michael has also been a semifinalist for The James Beard Awards Best Chef South for the past four years. Most recently, his team opened a second MOPHO location in the new Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. On my trip to New Orleans this past May, I was saddened to learn that Michael was closing MoPho and Maypop, casualties of the so difficult business of owning a restaurant I know all too well. After JazzFest one evening on MoPho's second to last day, Pat and I went to pay our respects and I got to thank Michael for his kindness showing me there was culinary life after my diagnosis not only at his restaurant but when he catered the main stage at JazzFest, but he also introduced me to more fusion possibilities which I have incorporated in some of the food I make. On the last day of Maypop, my brother Jeff and I dined at Maypop, Michael's more upscale joint which served delicious food and not to be undone, after both closed on that Sunday in May, I saw the MoPho at the airport right in front of my terminal to fly home and I got the greatest wings on the planet to fly home with: CRISPY CHICKEN WINGS WITH NUOC MAM CARAMEL. I have no idea what exactly that is except Cajun chicken spices with a Vietnamese caramel sauce that is unparalleled in it's flavor, bite and marriage of cultures that was so good Pat would always ask for more on the side. I'm sure Michael will get back in the game at some point but I write this with gratitude to Pat for introducing me to this great Chef and to Chef Gulotta for taking the time to show me what I could eat and what modifications he could make to his food for me.
