Love Little Tokyo. You just can't go wrong. There larger rolls seem larger than any other sushi restaurant. The service was great. They were crowded but we got our food pretty quickly. The restaurant is beautiful and has plenty of parking and seating.

Right off the i10, this refreshing and complete Japanese restaurant boasts fresh sushi and rich, brothy ramen. The Tokyo salad is a very refreshing and pleasingly-tangy mix of mushrooms, seaweed, iceberg lettuce topped with a mayonesa vinaigrette. When done correctly, crab rolls are my jam. The rice is perfect, the asparagus cooked, crisp and cool, and the crab very fresh. I am a sucker for octopus, and the octopus here is on point - I don't know how they get it so delectably fresh. It is served cool on a foundation of rice and a seaweed ribbon. The dynamite roll is excellent. The tuna, the yellowtail, the whitefish... are a fresh and tender trio. The wait staff is kind and helpful. The music is upbeat and the long room is a welcome oasis from the north causeway concrete. Legitimate Japanese establishment that cares about what they serve and the people that they serve. Delicious.

My go to in Metairie! Food and service are always good. Laid back ambiance. I love the special chef salad, the eel salad and the seared tuna avocado salad. The filet hibachi and the little Tokyo rolls are also can't miss choices!

I truly enjoy visiting Little Tokyo for lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious. Some of my favorites are the Utah and Mardi Gras rolls, their hibachi rices (ask for some yum yum and chili sauce), and the jalapeño poppers. Their special rolls are huge, like you need nothing else to eat with them if one is ordered. If you sit at the sushi bar during lunch, they give you a delicious salad, l need to remember to ask what the green noodles are in it. The service is always great, and the sushi chefs are always so nice and helpful. Great place to visit for large parties, but can be pretty loud in there. There is a good amount of parking, and when it is full, the is also some street parking. Until we meet again.

Nothing too special for this place. The ramen is not the worst we've had, but definitely not the best either. Their staff was very accommodating, so that's a plus. They have a half-open kitchen with a sushi bar, and they have more than 10 people working total for the kitchen, with majority of them working behind the sushi bar, so maybe we should have had some sushi instead?

My 2 y/o nephew and I love ramen and sushi (yes, he's a little boujee baby lol) so I went on a hunt to find a good spot for us to try. By good I mean a decent area with decent parking. This place has good reviews so it was what we had for dinner. The sign alone makes you want to go in and see what they're all about. So me and little boujee baby walked in and were seated right away. Plenty of people there but still no wait...it was a bit spacious. Pretty with a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was cool but it was almost like I should have known exactly what I wanted upon being seated because she didn't come back to check on us very often. There was a wait in between the times we'd see her. She was really nice though. I ordered a sprite for the little one and a Tokyo passion for myself...it came in a regular drinking glass so it was a nice size drink but I could see why they were so generous on an alcoholic beverage...it was a little on the weak side. Drank it down like juice... it had a great flavor nonetheless. From the Specials menu I ordered the Cajun roll which was a cooked roll filled with crawfish, salmon, and cream cheese. It was tasty, although I'm used to much better sushi presentation. It was a pretty big roll! Me and little boujee baby enjoyed it. Up next, Ramen...What I wanted to be the star of the show...but it was just at the show, no star. I love Ramen so I expected more. It was decent compared to what I consider awesome ramen. They didn't listen to their ancestors when they seasoned it. Don't get me wrong it definitely wasn't nasty or anything. It was okay...I just wouldn't make this my go to ramen spot. I'd most definitely come back for sushi though.

Walked in and was greeted immediately by the host. The restaurant had a large selection of food; my friend and I were having trouble finding what we wanted to eat. We had the steamed pork gyoza and it was delicious! I'm not sure what sauce they served with it but it went perfect with the gyoza. Disappointingly, the appetizer was the only thing we enjoyed here. The sushi tasted extremely off to us. The fish did not taste fresh and there was something weird about the rice. We also noticed there wasn't any seaweed in the sushi. The only thing that made the sushi taste better was getting an extra side of eel sauce (burning man) and sweet chili sauce (tropical). In my opinion though, it should not need extra sauce to be eaten but the fact was, it tasted horrible without it. I will not be coming back.

The order was placed through little Tokyo, the card was charged by little Tokyo and they said the driver must've ate my food and there is nothing they can or will do and we're extremely rude, not willing to help and incredibly unprofessional. Hard to talk to. Not willing to accept any responsibility to customer or customer service. Beyond frustrating and disappointing that they have record of order and payment and wouldn't even remake order to have food. This restaurant was filthy dirty when I had to go in person to dispute charges and staff was aggressively rude. Threatening. Snow Crab Tuna rolls snow crab rolls

We had sushi here recently and forgot to ask what one particular type was. It was a little yellow square and tasted sweet. Anyone know what that was?

One restaurant that locals constantly recommended to me was Drago's Seafood in Metairie, and now I completely understand why. I ordered the charbroiled oysters along with the crawfish platter that came with crawfish étouffée, crawfish mac and cheese, and fried crawfish. Every single thing on the table was incredible. The charbroiled oysters absolutely lived up to the hype rich, buttery, smoky, and packed with flavor. The crawfish platter was just as impressive and gave me a chance to try multiple Louisiana dishes all in one meal. What really stood out to me beyond the food was the service. The staff was extremely friendly, welcoming, and patient with questions from someone who isn't from Louisiana and still learning the local food scene. You can tell they take pride in both the restaurant and the hospitality. The only downside is parking can get a little complicated because the place fills up fast, which honestly says a lot about how popular it is. Just plan ahead or expect a short wait finding a spot. Overall, this is one of those restaurants that feels genuinely loved by locals and absolutely worth visiting if you're traveling through the New Orleans area.

My bartender, Darryl, took fantastic care of me. Vibes in this place are very warm and cozy, I sat at the bar to the right of the entrance as you walk in. I had a half dozen char grilled oysters and a cup of seafood gumbo. I see why the oysters are so popular, they are a hit. Buttery and garlicky, the crusty bread they serve with them is a great compliment to soak up the sauce. I had originally intended on getting the chicken and andouille gumbo but Darryl steered me away from it, he said it was very salty. I trusted his word and went with the seafood gumbo instead and was very pleased with it. The flavors were fantastic, but I am gonna ding it ever so slightly as I think $8.99 is kind of an obscene price for that serving size, but at least it was good. Overall I'm very satisfied with my lunch and the service, I think if you like seafood and you're in their area, you should eat here. Edit - $9 for a pint is a little over the top too, imo. My "light lunch" was $42 before the tip.

Ordered 1/2 doz chargrilled oysters and the meat pies. For some reason I did not realized the meat pies had ground beef in them; I remembered a different flavor profile. SIL ordered the 1/2 shrimp po boy, which was on her hit list of foods for the trip and I had the 1/2 hot sausage patty po boy. Both of us had the jambalaya, which was tasty but not overpowering. I came back last night really excited to have it again, but unfortunately, it just didn't live up to that first experience. My boyfriend comes all the time but this was my first visit and it was a pleasure. This time around, the portion seemed noticeably different this time around. There was a lot less shrimp, the sauce had the same Cajun flavor but was clumpy as if old and the crab cake we ordered--something we also loved on our last visit--was much smaller, but increased from $5 to $8. For a place in New Orleans, where the food scene is such a huge draw, that was pretty disappointing. That said, not everything missed the mark. Ashley, the bartender, was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and really added to the experience. Also, the gentleman opening the door was incredibly kind and welcoming. Their hospitality ended up being the highlight of the visit. I still have great memories from my first time here, but this visit just didn't hit the same. Hoping it was an off night. I spoke with the manager Kelly on the same day of service but I was not satisfied with the resolution of offering a free appetizer on my next visit when purchasing an entree. Sad to say but that was my last visit. Kelly was really nice and listened but maybe her hands are tied with how the restaurant is ran and what she can offer. I didn't need a refund or a total order replacement but something else could've been recommended. $30 is a steep price for 9 shrimp in a pasta that was clunky/lumpy and not smooth as times in the past. Maybe it was because it was a togo order but most of my orders from this business had been to go, not all but most. In all, this falls on the chef that prepared this meal and I was informed by Kelly that the chef started everything was weighed and correctly accounted for however it was the cook on the pasta and lack of shrimp.
