    Octopus - crazy fresh
    Gabriel N.

Right off the i10, this refreshing and complete Japanese restaurant boasts fresh sushi and rich, brothy ramen. The Tokyo salad is a very refreshing and pleasingly-tangy mix of mushrooms, seaweed, iceberg lettuce topped with a mayonesa vinaigrette. When done correctly, crab rolls are my jam. The rice is perfect, the asparagus cooked, crisp and cool, and the crab very fresh. I am a sucker for octopus, and the octopus here is on point - I don't know how they get it so delectably fresh. It is served cool on a foundation of rice and a seaweed ribbon. The dynamite roll is excellent. The tuna, the yellowtail, the whitefish... are a fresh and tender trio. The wait staff is kind and helpful. The music is upbeat and the long room is a welcome oasis from the north causeway concrete. Legitimate Japanese establishment that cares about what they serve and the people that they serve. Delicious.

Love Little Tokyo. You just can't go wrong. There larger rolls seem larger than any other sushi restaurant. The service was great. They were crowded but we got our food pretty quickly. The restaurant is beautiful and has plenty of parking and seating.

My go to in Metairie! Food and service are always good. Laid back ambiance. I love the special chef salad, the eel salad and the seared tuna avocado salad. The filet hibachi and the little Tokyo rolls are also can't miss choices!

I truly enjoy visiting Little Tokyo for lunch. The food is always fresh and delicious. Some of my favorites are the Utah and Mardi Gras rolls, their hibachi rices (ask for some yum yum and chili sauce), and the jalapeño poppers. Their special rolls are huge, like you need nothing else to eat with them if one is ordered. If you sit at the sushi bar during lunch, they give you a delicious salad, l need to remember to ask what the green noodles are in it. The service is always great, and the sushi chefs are always so nice and helpful. Great place to visit for large parties, but can be pretty loud in there. There is a good amount of parking, and when it is full, the is also some street parking. Until we meet again.

Nothing too special for this place. The ramen is not the worst we've had, but definitely not the best either. Their staff was very accommodating, so that's a plus. They have a half-open kitchen with a sushi bar, and they have more than 10 people working total for the kitchen, with majority of them working behind the sushi bar, so maybe we should have had some sushi instead?

My 2 y/o nephew and I love ramen and sushi (yes, he's a little boujee baby lol) so I went on a hunt to find a good spot for us to try. By good I mean a decent area with decent parking. This place has good reviews so it was what we had for dinner. The sign alone makes you want to go in and see what they're all about. So me and little boujee baby walked in and were seated right away. Plenty of people there but still no wait...it was a bit spacious. Pretty with a nice atmosphere. Our waitress was cool but it was almost like I should have known exactly what I wanted upon being seated because she didn't come back to check on us very often. There was a wait in between the times we'd see her. She was really nice though. I ordered a sprite for the little one and a Tokyo passion for myself...it came in a regular drinking glass so it was a nice size drink but I could see why they were so generous on an alcoholic beverage...it was a little on the weak side. Drank it down like juice... it had a great flavor nonetheless. From the Specials menu I ordered the Cajun roll which was a cooked roll filled with crawfish, salmon, and cream cheese. It was tasty, although I'm used to much better sushi presentation. It was a pretty big roll! Me and little boujee baby enjoyed it. Up next, Ramen...What I wanted to be the star of the show...but it was just at the show, no star. I love Ramen so I expected more. It was decent compared to what I consider awesome ramen. They didn't listen to their ancestors when they seasoned it. Don't get me wrong it definitely wasn't nasty or anything. It was okay...I just wouldn't make this my go to ramen spot. I'd most definitely come back for sushi though.

Walked in and was greeted immediately by the host. The restaurant had a large selection of food; my friend and I were having trouble finding what we wanted to eat. We had the steamed pork gyoza and it was delicious! I'm not sure what sauce they served with it but it went perfect with the gyoza. Disappointingly, the appetizer was the only thing we enjoyed here. The sushi tasted extremely off to us. The fish did not taste fresh and there was something weird about the rice. We also noticed there wasn't any seaweed in the sushi. The only thing that made the sushi taste better was getting an extra side of eel sauce (burning man) and sweet chili sauce (tropical). In my opinion though, it should not need extra sauce to be eaten but the fact was, it tasted horrible without it. I will not be coming back.

We had sushi here recently and forgot to ask what one particular type was. It was a little yellow square and tasted sweet. Anyone know what that was?

The chicken, shrimp and steak were all cooked good but the rice had no flavor. One of us had a fried noodle and steak bowl. The grandkids had the sushi dual combo which is really a good price and they loved it. The snow crab salad was good but a bit mushy. I think this would be a go to spot for anyone nearby who loves sushi. Very reasonably priced.

Chefs span the range from a serious cook the food experience to a full cooking show, complete with train whistles, egg tricks, and lots of fire flames. My son knows their cooking show so well that he will object if they don't do the volcano or train tricks.!it's great. The chefs also accommodate each of the guests for their hibachi experience. We like LOTS of garlic butter but not teriyaki sauce. Some guests like no garlic or extra eggs in the fried rice. I've seen them make many accommodations. I asked if these were supposed to be eaten by hand if you wanted to, he agreed most people traditionally eat these that way. The flavors were buttery and tangy, textures delicate and sometimes a small crunch with fried scallions etc. We had tuna, ocean trout that was Similar to salmon but a different shade of orange, scallops and finished with waygu beef. It was amazing with each course the flavors seem to improve. A great experience, if you are any type of sushi fan or even on the fence, this could easily make you a sushi lover. I ordered from the "all you can eat" portion of the menu (which is a pretty large variety to choose from, and is not limited to just sushi). You pay one price for an adult ($33.99 on a Sunday), and can order as many items and servings as you'd like, from the aforementioned menu. In my opinion, this was a great deal, especially for the quality and quickness of the food! Because of the above, I was able to try 5 different types of sushi rolls (you can choose either 4 pieces, or 8 pieces), and I'd recommend 4 pieces so you could try just about any/everything. There are also photos on the menu to help you decide, if you're a visual person. Here's what I had: Edamame (the Cajun + garlic seasoned version, which was $1 more) - it was properly seasoned and super good! The gyozo/dumplings were good too; I'd recommend ordering a side of teriyaki sauce, as it only comes with a peanut-type sauce. The shrimp fried rice was also pretty good, and comes in a smaller portion. As for the sushi rolls, they were all delicious, but I'll rank them in order of my favorite (all of them were speciality rolls) #1 Kiss Me roll - it was so good (the best sushi roll out of all 5 I tried) that I forgot to take a photo! This one comes in pieces of 5, and the pieces are even thicker/bigger than the other rolls. #2 Fleur-di-lis sushi roll - loved the shredded crab meat that was layered across the top. #3 Godzilla sushi roll - loved the shrimp tempura within, and the sauce that was drizzled on top. #4 Lion King sushi roll - this was pretty good as well, and had the perfect amount of sauce layered across the top. #5 Spider sushi roll - another good one, and the avocado definitely stood out the most (if you're a big fan of it).
