Here's what we ordered and my thoughts: Miso soup - 12/10 amazing Crab wontons - 5/10. I didn't really like the filling. The sauce was pretty good Teriyaki bowl - 7/10. Nothing too special but a good amount of food for the price Eel cucumber avocado - 3/10. Too sweet Mango - 8/10. It's giving Thai mango sticky rice Caterpillar roll - 3/10. Too sweet. Did not taste like a caterpillar roll Sunshine - 7/10. Nothing too crazy but at least it wasn't sweet Spicy California roll - 8/10. We live close by and typically LOVE this place. We visited last week for date night and I tried the Tonkotsu for the first time (it was tasty!). I woke up at 7 am the next morning with the worst stomach pain I've ever experienced, and then proceeded to spend the next 12 hours rotating between vomiting and passing blood out the other end every 20 minutes. It's been nearly a week and I'm still slowly recovering from E. coli. I have never been more ill in my entire life. As much as I have loved Fuji, I don't think I can ever get myself to go back! I'm reviewing in hopes management sees this and takes the proper precautions/etc to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else! read more

My boyfriend and I came here for our date night and my first impression was that the place is super cute! They have booths with walls so it's super private, really pretty decorations all over, and they even had real flowers on all the tables! Our server, Carly, was very friendly and helpful when we asked what she recommended on the menu. I got the sunset roll, my boyfriend got the spider-man roll and we got the dessert roll to share. I really loved both of the rolls but not the dessert so much, it just wasn't my thing. Sushi was very good and they have TV's in the restaunt and we requested them to change the TV twice and they changed it so I would say the service was very nice too. Solid sushi spot we found near SLC - very similar to what we're used to at home in SoCal...fish is all remarkably fresh considering how landlocked they are lol! Service is fast and friendly, vibe is very chill, and we liked all our food! The only odd thing was that they served all our rolls on the same plate - I've never seen sushi served like that but it ended up making it easier to share and left more room on the table - I liked it haha! We started with the Crispy Crab Wonton appetizer which is their version of Crab Rangoon. Each delightful pillow was full of melty cream cheese, herbs and some crab - my only complaint is it needs more crab but they were still excellent. And they came with a nice sweet and sour sauce to dip. Would definitely get these again. My hubby got a Rainbow Roll and an Angel Roll. The Rainbow Roll is your standard - same as all others we've ever had. It was fresh and delicious. The Angel Roll has a spicy salmon mix inside and it topped with tuna, avocado, and shrimp and various sauces - it was my fave one - also very fresh with great flavors! My Merkley Roll was my least fave. It has shrimp, crab, avocado and cream cheese inside and is deep fried with spicy Mayo on top. There wasn't much cream cheese in it and it had tons of seaweed inside - the flavor of the seaweed overpowered everything and I'm not a huge fan of that flavor so I wouldn't get this again. My hubby loved it - I honestly think it's a personal preference thing bc I don't care much for seaweed so definitely not taking off a star for it. We still really enjoyed our lunch! They have booths and tables as well as a little sushi bar and some TVs scattered around showing sports. Very relaxing and warm and cozy. They even have several private style booths that were packed when we walked in - I'd definitely try to sit at one of these next time haha! It's located in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking and it's easy to find. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the quality. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. When I give a review, it starts when I walk through the door, how im greeted, the ambiance, and how soon we place our order, of course, the food. The first turnoff was how dirty the windows and door were. Our serve Airial was awesome. She is new at being a server and doing a great job very helpful and fun. We ordered 3 rolls and a beer to share. The rolls were good and quickly served. The little booths are fun. Music was too loud and strange. I feel prices were slightly higher than we usually pay. Here you will find excellent sashimi, sushi- nigiri (fish laid over rice) and both traditional and Americanized maki (rolls), tempura, teriyaki, and other traditional Japanese dishes, such as miso soup, edimame, and yakitori. The pieces of fish are appropriately sized for the sushi and quite generous for the sashimi. They are fresh tasting and exquisitely prepared. The rice was perfectly prepared with just a hint of sushi vinegar and sweetness. There are dishes for those who prefer only cooked fish as well as the traditional raw fish. Shellfish- lobster, crab and shrimp are always steamed, of course. Some of my favorites were the salmon, yellowtail, and red snapper. I'm looking forward to trying their more exotic fare. The tuna was a touch dark and slightly mushy which is always a problem when the fish is flash frozen before delivery, but Utah is landlocked and no tuna swim in the Great Salt Lake! The restaurant was spotlessly clean in the entry, dining area, and even in the bathrooms (tip: you can tell how clean a restaurant is by how well they maintain their restrooms!) The decor was modern Japanese with a nod to tradition. I especially liked the dining booths open only to the hallway! I got the shrimp tempura with tempura vegis it was all deep fried, I knew that when I ordered. But might try something a little lighter next time. Some of the best sushi I've ever had... I'd drive hours to get to this place. Like a little Diamond in the Rough... driving by you wouldn't think much of this place but, don't miss out. The atmosphere is good, and the restaurant is nice and clean. There's usually a wait but I'd say it goes by faster than you expect (and is well worth it). You can tell they are proud of their restaurant. The service is always friendly and right on top of things. Everything is delicious. I don't think I've ordered a roll I didn't love. We came here late on a Saturday night and we were able to be seated immediately. The appetizers and miso soup were incredibly delicious! Our sushi rolls were all good, but my only complaint would be that they served it all on one plate and there was a sweet sauce on the bottom that overpowered the rolls. It was a dark and stormy night but my friends and I had Birthdays to celebrate. I've often said I could love Sushi if it didn't have Seaweed with it. My tongue does not like it. At Fuji Sushi they have a roll called the Pink Lady. It was wrapped in Ginger filled with white rice and Shrimp. For the first time in my life I could say that I liked Sushi. The service was great and it felt like I was eating on a side street in Tokyo. I stopped for take out and it just wasn't as good as eating there in person. If I had to have a final meal, Fuji Sushi would be my final request. This is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Utah! I have taken all of my friends and family here, and rave about it to anyone who asks for recommendations!! The food is always consistently good, and the fish is fresh and yummy.
