We live close by and typically LOVE this place. We visited last week for date night and I tried the Tonkotsu for the first time (it was tasty!). I woke up at 7 am the next morning with the worst stomach pain I've ever experienced, and then proceeded to spend the next 12 hours rotating between vomiting and passing blood out the other end every 20 minutes. It's been nearly a week and I'm still slowly recovering from E. coli. I have never been more ill in my entire life. As much as I have loved Fuji, I don't think I can ever get myself to go back! I'm reviewing in hopes management sees this and takes the proper precautions/etc to make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else!

Solid sushi spot we found near SLC - very similar to what we're used to at home in SoCal...fish is all remarkably fresh considering how landlocked they are lol! Service is fast and friendly, vibe is very chill, and we liked all our food! The only odd thing was that they served all our rolls on the same plate - I've never seen sushi served like that but it ended up making it easier to share and left more room on the table - I liked it haha! We started with the Crispy Crab Wonton appetizer which is their version of Crab Rangoon. Each delightful pillow was full of melty cream cheese, herbs and some crab - my only complaint is it needs more crab but they were still excellent. And they came with a nice sweet and sour sauce to dip. Would definitely get these again. My hubby got a Rainbow Roll and an Angel Roll. The Rainbow Roll is your standard - same as all others we've ever had. It was fresh and delicious. The Angel Roll has a spicy salmon mix inside and it topped with tuna, avocado, and shrimp and various sauces - it was my fave one - also very fresh with great flavors! My Merkley Roll was my least fave. It has shrimp, crab, avocado and cream cheese inside and is deep fried with spicy Mayo on top. There wasn't much cream cheese in it and it had tons of seaweed inside - the flavor of the seaweed overpowered everything and I'm not a huge fan of that flavor so I wouldn't get this again. My hubby loved it - I honestly think it's a personal preference thing bc I don't care much for seaweed so definitely not taking off a star for it. We still really enjoyed our lunch! They have booths and tables as well as a little sushi bar and some TVs scattered around showing sports. Very relaxing and warm and cozy. They even have several private style booths that were packed when we walked in - I'd definitely try to sit at one of these next time haha! It's located in a busy shopping center with plenty of parking and it's easy to find. Prices are very reasonable for the area and the quality. All the staff were very welcoming and attentive. We'd definitely come back on our next visit!

When I give a review, it starts when I walk through the door, how im greeted, the ambiance, and how soon we place our order, of course, the food. The first turnoff was how dirty the windows and door were. Our serve Airial was awesome. She is new at being a server and doing a great job very helpful and fun. We ordered 3 rolls and a beer to share. The rolls were good and quickly served. The little booths are fun. Music was too loud and strange. I feel prices were slightly higher than we usually pay. I gave 4 stars because of the awesome server.

Another great experience at Fuji Sushi this last weekend! We learned partway through dinner that we had to leave early, and the staff was great about getting our food out quickly.

I got a sushi craving at lunchtime, ordered on Yelp, and satisfied the craving, so that's a win. My food was ready promptly at the scheduled time. They did forget the avocado on the "tuna avocado" roll, but I was still happy. This place has a large menu that features lots of fried/cream cheese/odd ingredients types of sushi, so it's not a regular spot for me (I prefer to focus on fish/rice). But it's nearby and they have basic maki/chirashi too.

Sushi and sashimi is art you can eat! Here you will find excellent sashimi, sushi- nigiri (fish laid over rice) and both traditional and Americanized maki (rolls), tempura, teriyaki, and other traditional Japanese dishes, such as miso soup, edimame, and yakitori. The pieces of fish are appropriately sized for the sushi and quite generous for the sashimi. They are fresh tasting and exquisitely prepared. The rice was perfectly prepared with just a hint of sushi vinegar and sweetness. There are dishes for those who prefer only cooked fish as well as the traditional raw fish. Shellfish- lobster, crab and shrimp are always steamed, of course. Some of my favorites were the salmon, yellowtail, and red snapper. I'm looking forward to trying their more exotic fare. The tuna was a touch dark and slightly mushy which is always a problem when the fish is flash frozen before delivery, but Utah is landlocked and no tuna swim in the Great Salt Lake! The restaurant was spotlessly clean in the entry, dining area, and even in the bathrooms (tip: you can tell how clean a restaurant is by how well they maintain their restrooms!) The decor was modern Japanese with a nod to tradition. I especially liked the dining booths open only to the hallway! The service was excellent and the sushi chefs were happy to share their knowledge and accept compliments!

Portions are really small for the prices. Most rolls came in 4's for 12-13$. Quality is mediocore too. Quick service though

Ichiro Ramen = Pure Comfort in a Bowl…read more If happiness had a flavor, it would be the tonkotsu ramen from Ichiro! The broth is rich, creamy, and packed with that perfect umami goodness -- like a warm hug for your soul. The noodles? Chef's kiss. The pork? Melts like butter. The restaurant itself is super cozy and beautiful -- soft lighting, cherry blossom art, and a calm, modern vibe that makes you want to stay forever. The Service is always friendly. The hostess is so sweet, kind and helpful. The Chef is always smiling and so kin and my bowl always arrives piping hot and perfect. Ichiro Ramen has officially become my go-to "treat yourself" spot. I went with a friend and wanted to treat her to a late lunch or early dinner. She ordered one of the meat ramens and said it was the best ramen she's had in Utah so far -- she's even planning to bring her husband back. My ramen, on the other hand, was fine. I got the vegan ramen and asked for it to be made spicy. It looked spicy -- it was a deep red -- but it honestly just tasted like water and corn. Or corn water. It was very bland. Edible, but not good. I carry pepper and crushed red pepper packets with me everywhere, and even after dumping a bunch in, it still had no flavor. Also, it wasn't filling. I had to go home and eat another meal. I wouldn't recommend this place for vegan meals unless you live next door.

Our waitress was attentive during our order, I found the advertised "19.99 per person" feast to be perfect for us ! Only to find that there is small text stating that the $19.99 per person pays for one appetizer for the table ?? The advertisement insinuates that it includes the appetizer per person until you read the small text... I did find that people passed us multiple times with water while we sat with half empty cups for a lot of our meal. Our crab rangoon was room temp/cold and -in my opinion - completely lacking in flavor. My boyfriend didn't even realize there was cream cheese in them. The sauce was great but I felt like I had to drown every bite in the sauce in order to get good flavor payoff. We received our two soups. The egg drop soup is well made and flavorful ! The hot and sour soup was flavorful and had a lot of texture which was nice. However, at the bottom of my egg drop soup, I found an odd shaped and gelatinous blob...upon asking, the waitress wasn't even sure what it was. And I had bitten into it thinking it was a part of the soup !! Until I looked up what is in their soup out of curiosity and GELATINOUS BLOB WASN'T AN INGREDIENT. Our entrees were warm and flavorful ! I loved my pf changs spicy chicken. I loved the crunch and different textures that came with the sauce on the spicy chicken. My boyfriend's Mongolian beef was flavorful but I did find it to be a bit salty for my taste. He did have pieces at the bottom of his entree that were extremely overcooked bits of beef. They were so hard that he had to spit out a bite because he couldn't get through it. We completed our meal with a peanut butter and chocolate cream pie dessert. It was okay, truly nothing outstanding to say about it. Overall, I was disappointed in my visit today at PF Chang's - considering I have had a good experience at this location in the past. But that was over a year ago and I'm not sure what has changed since then. With how much money you spend at PF Chang's, you expect quality food and service and I found neither of those things in my visit today.

I ordered the small poki bowl which comes in at 32 oz. Same size as the regular or large bowl, the only difference is how many protein scoops you receive. Small bowl receives two of your choice, regular size includes three, and the large size includes four. You of course can add additional scoops to any of them for an additional fee. Toppings are free and they have quite a few! I went with shrimp and octopus in my small bowl with all of the toppings listed except for edamame. They were kind enough to honor my request of dressing on the side in which I requested their Poki Spicy Sauce (which basically tastes like spicy mayo). You can choose from a variety of bases such as brown rice, sushi rice, mixed greens, or tortilla chips (you can also mix and match two of them and go half and half). I went with mixed greens and tortilla chips and let me tell you; that bowl was filled to the absolute brim and you honestly need another bowl to mix it all in if you want the flavors equal. Needless to say I was VERY impressed with the freshness of all the ingredients. Only slight bummer was there were only a few tiny pieces of octopus in my whole bowl but it was getting close to closing and very possible that they were running out. The shrimp was fantastic and decent size portions. I also ordered a side of their steamed and air fried Potstickers and OMG their ponzu sauce is out of this world! Hands down, the BEST damn ponzu sauce that I've ever had anywhere! I'd like a large side of that just to have on hand for dressing, etc. The potstickers definitely tasted healthier since they weren't fried in a bunch of fattening oil on the stove. Overall I definitely plan on going back to this lovely find of a restaurant and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for fresh, HEALTHY, and filling food suitable for your wallet and your gut health.
