Highly recommend dining here for delicious food at a low price. They bring you soup as soon as you sit down. The reason for a star deduction is they brought our entrees right after receiving the salad and egg roll appetizer. I would have preferred time to eat the salad ($2) and egg rolls ($2 for 2)before receiving my entree. I replaced my rice with extra veggies to my chicken hibachi($8) for $1 and then a side of fried rice for $2.50. Such a deal! I should have not ordered the rice and just ate from my friend's rice because it's a large portion. The food is fresh and they use high quality ingredients. They leave a bottle of white yum yum sauce at your table! It's so good. Plenty of parking in the attached lot. We saw many people getting take out. It's a no thrills ambiance but amazing food and affordable.

Hot tea with empty soup bowl. Yum

Server came over promptly and greeted us with bowls of Japanese style onion soup! Very good with an unexpected hint of sweetness. Hot tea is Lipton served in a big mug lends the restaurant to an almost home-y feel.

    Ew

My carrots, rice, chicken, broccoli, and noodles all taste like rats. How do you fuck up rice? Unfortunately Fuji Yama was my last resort because Brevard closes town on Sunday.

The portions are generous, the servers are nice, and the food is good for the price (which is also super low)

For dinner I had the southwest blackened chicken Cobb salad which was very good as well. Prices were a little up there, but not too crazy. Service was a little slow (they were pretty busy at the time we went) but the server was well educated on the menu. The restaurant was nicely appointed, comfortable and they have a separate room for their bar.

I called over to the Square Root to check the kitchen timing (it was getting on 8) and all was well. We managed a seat at the bar and this was perfect for us. We chatted a bit with the servers, who were amazing. There is a ton enjoyment for the job and the space going on here. We also met some semi-locals who were awesome. Shout out to "Kendall-Jackson"! The menu is full of local ingredients and plenty of temptations. The specials were even more tempting and we grabbed oysters to kick it off. The pepper/spicy mignonette is so so good. It's just the right mix of classic and new. I didn't need the other sauce, especially with just 6 oysters. I eyed the yellowtail snapper (snapper, right? def not tuna) special, but opted for the Korean chicken sandwich. Quite good! I could have used a stronger flavor from the kimchi and, frankly, less of a mess, but the cook was just right, the flavor profiles were excellent, and the portion was plenty. A really good sandwich! I had the sweet potato chips as my side and I can see why they are popular. We kept the leftover sauces from the oysters just so I could dip my chips. Good call! She Said: I'd like to start by complimenting the fantastic staff. They've obviously been here a while, and they're enthusiastic about this place. He Said covered the oysters (yum!) and the mignonette (double yum!), so I'll focus on the mushroom tart that I got as my meal. The rough puff was really done well, and the mushroom and goat cheese combo was terrific. I thought they would be inside the pastry, but I adapted. The whole dish was terrific, and though I thought it was too salty for me, I also know that I'm sensitive to salt. All in all, we will definitely be back! Potty Points: no trip to the potty for me on this one!

It was dark! That's how we missed it. We were seated by a friendly host. He impressed us with a book he had on his podium. We all love readers! We got the corner booth, which was roomy & comfortable. We looked over the double sided menus as we waited for someone to take our orders. Mason was our server in training with a regular who didn't give her name or I didn't hear it. Husband and I had the cheeseburgers with lettuce & mayonnaise. Husband had the huge, crispy waffle fries & I had small cup of coleslaw. One friend had the chicken sandwich with coleslaw (we both avoid fried foods), and her husband had fish'n'chips with coleslaw & fries. Only Husband had a drink - ice tea. Three of us had water. The drinks came quickly, and the hot food was delivered as soon as it was ready. The food was good. We liked the pub atmosphere & decor. Our friends had been here before & recommended it for its food & casual ambiance. When we visit them & Brevard, we might come back to try other entrees since the prices were reasonable and the staff was great!

In America I'm more likely to discover I have stumbled into a joint more like an Applebee's and poorly ran at that. Sadly, here, too. While the cod filets were properly sized, correctly priced, and seasoned well, the slaw was warm and barely dressed. Our server was nonchalent and more engaged in chowing down on her lunch with a coworker than monitoring our order. All the food was delivered lukewarm including the cold stuff. Meh. I'll give a hard pass on the Reuben Eggrolls, too. What I imagined as a juicy bite into a steamy roll of goodness filled with cornbeef, sauerkraut, and swisscheese was actually three tiny rolls of dry, tasteless, overcooked wads of dough. Nope. 3-stars is commensurate with their average. Some good, some not, nothing great.

If I could give this a higher score than 5 stars I would!…read moreOut of every place I've ever reviewed, this has definitely earned the #1 highest rating I could give. Everything about this place was absolutely exceptional. Starting with service! The woman that greeted us when we came in and took our order, is one of the sweetest ladies ever. I just kept telling my husband after each small interaction with her "oh my gosh I just love her". It's an incredibly warm and inviting space, and I wish we lived closer just to be able to experience that alone more often. But lord have mercy, the food? They knocked it out of the park!!! They have a huge menu with all sorts of stuff that you don't see super often. We got the Chicago dog, the BBQ burger, the sweet potato fries, onion rings, and a blackberry shake. Those sweet potato fries will have me dreaming about them until I can make my way back here. There's no amount of praise to do this place justice! All I can say is, if you haven't tried stopping by here for a meal, you absolutely need to!

I later added a vanilla shake which was another ten dollars. It was all good and the shake was fantastic but it was over $30 per person. For a hot dog shack! They literally have two $11 hot dogs...what? My daughter's Philly Cheese was a steak sandwich. Not thinly sliced steak but great honking chunks of steak. It was a tough sandwich to get down. Service was fast and friendly and the restaurant had a run down diner vibe. You could probably pare it down to $20 a person but that is still bonkers for sandwich and fries. I don't think we will be back but glad we tried it for sure!
