Highly recommend dining here for delicious food at a low price. They bring you soup as soon as you sit down. The reason for a star deduction is they brought our entrees right after receiving the salad and egg roll appetizer. I would have preferred time to eat the salad ($2) and egg rolls ($2 for 2)before receiving my entree. I replaced my rice with extra veggies to my chicken hibachi($8) for $1 and then a side of fried rice for $2.50. Such a deal! I should have not ordered the rice and just ate from my friend's rice because it's a large portion. The food is fresh and they use high quality ingredients. They leave a bottle of white yum yum sauce at your table! It's so good. Plenty of parking in the attached lot. We saw many people getting take out. It's a no thrills ambiance but amazing food and affordable.

Hot tea with empty soup bowl. Yum

Server came over promptly and greeted us with bowls of Japanese style onion soup! Very good with an unexpected hint of sweetness. Hot tea is Lipton served in a big mug lends the restaurant to an almost home-y feel.

    Ew

My carrots, rice, chicken, broccoli, and noodles all taste like rats. How do you fuck up rice? Unfortunately Fuji Yama was my last resort because Brevard closes town on Sunday.

The portions are generous, the servers are nice, and the food is good for the price (which is also super low)

A lot of cafes in and around the greater Asheville area have a similar vibe. Small, hip, no frills, friendly and welcoming. You'll notice all the framed rave reviews on the wall inside and the website boasts its 16 year reign as #1 restaurant in Brevard, and the menu definitely lives up. We started with the Bavarian Pretzel (which was actually recommended to us by the server at the chocolate shop across the alleyway.) It was very much the right way to go. The pretzel is adorned with several meats, slices of cheese, picked veggies (the pickled okra is amazing!) and some dipping sauces. You could come just for this, a few drinks and maybe another app and have a wonderful time! However you'd miss the delicious entrees. I got the Brunswick stew which was heavenly. My son loved his cedar plank salmon, said it was one of this favorite salmon preps he's ever had. The ambiance on the patio was pleasant with the hanging plants. The restaurant feels like a hidden gem as you have to travel one of the side alleys to find it. But locals seem to have no problem finding their award winning fave. If you're visiting town, this restaurant is definitely a winner. Plus there are some great shops to stroll nearby before or after.

For dinner I had the southwest blackened chicken Cobb salad which was very good as well. Prices were a little up there, but not too crazy. The restaurant was nicely appointed, comfortable and they have a separate room for their bar.

From the moment you walk up, there's a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel less like a customer and more like someone they're genuinely happy to have there. The staff absolutely deserves recognition--they're friendly, attentive, professional, and somehow manage to make the experience feel personal without ever being overbearing. What really stood out to me was the overall experience. Great service is one thing, but when you combine it with a comfortable atmosphere, good people, and the feeling that the staff actually cares whether you enjoy yourself, it turns an ordinary night out into something memorable. There are plenty of places where you can spend your money. There are far fewer places that make you leave thinking, "I definitely want to come back." The Pavilion is one of those places. If you're in Brevard or anywhere nearby and haven't been yet, put this place on your list. Whether you're going out with friends, spending time with someone special, or just looking for a place where you can relax and enjoy yourself, The Pavilion is absolutely worth visiting. Thank you to everyone there for making the experience such a great one. You've earned a repeat customer. The food was excellent. Six stars without hesitation.

We discovered the spot upon leaving the restaurant next door about a month ago and diners coming from Wild Morel asked us how our dinner was and declared that Wild Morel was much better. We were intrigued, so last night we tried it along with our weekend guests. Two of us had the squid ink pasta-delicious! My husband had the papardelle and my girlfriend had the pasta bolonaise which she finished ( I knew she loved it because she rarely eats all of what she is served). We started with the housemade fries with gorgonzola dipping sauce. Amazing! I will for sure order that again in the future. It was an unusually hot evening in the mountains and unfortunately their air conditioning system was not up to the task but we were all enjoying ourselves so we forgot about it soon enough. My 5 star review is based mainly on the food and charming ambience. Service, if I could review that alone would only be a 3. While our server was earnest, she wasn't terribly attentive and it took a long time to get drinks and starters to arrive. All in all though we had a great time and I am sure my husband and I will be back, especially as the cooler months set in.

It was dark! That's how we missed it. We were seated by a friendly host. He impressed us with a book he had on his podium. We all love readers! We got the corner booth, which was roomy & comfortable. We looked over the double sided menus as we waited for someone to take our orders. Mason was our server in training with a regular who didn't give her name or I didn't hear it. Husband and I had the cheeseburgers with lettuce & mayonnaise. Husband had the huge, crispy waffle fries & I had small cup of coleslaw. One friend had the chicken sandwich with coleslaw (we both avoid fried foods), and her husband had fish'n'chips with coleslaw & fries. Only Husband had a drink - ice tea. Three of us had water. The drinks came quickly, and the hot food was delivered as soon as it was ready. The food was good. We liked the pub atmosphere & decor. Our friends had been here before & recommended it for its food & casual ambiance. In America I'm more likely to discover I have stumbled into a joint more like an Applebee's and poorly ran at that. Sadly, here, too. While the cod filets were properly sized, correctly priced, and seasoned well, the slaw was warm and barely dressed. Our server was nonchalent and more engaged in chowing down on her lunch with a coworker than monitoring our order. All the food was delivered lukewarm including the cold stuff. Meh. I'll give a hard pass on the Reuben Eggrolls, too. What I imagined as a juicy bite into a steamy roll of goodness filled with cornbeef, sauerkraut, and swisscheese was actually three tiny rolls of dry, tasteless, overcooked wads of dough. Nope. 3-stars is commensurate with their average. Some good, some not, nothing great.
