Fish and chips fries and hush puppies slaw tartar

After walking busy Main St to find a place where 4 of us could have a late lunch, we were directed to this restaurant pub less than a 1/4 mile away. It is in a newer building. We parked down the road from it although looks like building has indoor parking as well. We were hungry and the meals were delicious and plentiful. The deep fried fish (sandwich or chips) was one of the best I've tasted in the area. The ?beer batter coating adhered to the fish even as it cooled down; the cod was moist and flaky. Kaleigh was our friendly and helpful server. Several of our party had burgers and remarked that the grilled taste was a bonus. Fries were generous and condiments were fresh. The cole slaw was tasty but seemed to be just chopped cabbage without seasoning or dressing. It could be improved on. They have a good assortment of local beers, wine, cider and what appeared to be a full-service bar. Live sports on multiple quiet TVs. As we were leaving, I glanced into an adjacent door, Shamrock Room, and it appeared a wedding party was being held there. I will be back for the fish again, and again. As

The atmosphere is amazing! You can tell they really thought through the decor.

We took a long hike that lasted until dark and by the time we showered at our AirBnb, many of the food options in Brevard area were closed. Thank goodness or we may not have stumbled on Dugans Pub! We got there for their late night menu and both ordered the Corned Beef Reuben sandwich. It may have been one of the best sandwiches I have ever had and I don't even like sour kraut. My boyfriend agreed that it was one of the best sandwiches he's had. He tried a few of the local beers they had on tap and said they were great, too. As an Irish girl, I enjoyed their Jameson on ice. The bartender was friendly and the decor was outstanding. They incorporated a wide variety of Irish gems, funny sayings, and unique items.

Had the Shepherds Pie and it was beyond delicious. The menu has burgers and sandwiches but go for the Irish menu items you will not be disappointed.

Well it's a classic Irish pub/eatery, we came in early evening on a Monday, had some ribs and these really amazing cored beef and sauerkraut eggrolls. Wow! So they had a few things on the menu that were kind of exclusive to Dugan, and they delivered!!! Egg rolls had choice of dipping sauces, 1000 Island for classic Reuben tastiness, or Jalapeño Ranch for a smoky corned beef flavor that suppresses the "pickled" flavor of the Kraut. Mmm!!! Staff- 5Stars to Mercedes, she knows the special intricacies of the menu and great service

I've been coming to for a couple years. The food is great, and the atmosphere is is great bonus. The desserts top off any meal and is a plus.

I flew in to Asheville, N. Carolina to see my family In Brevard and all 7 of us went to town last minute and a Sunday night after power went out. We got down into town and I finally got phone service and went to restaurants still open. It was Sunday night. Dugans was closing in 40 minutes. I called they said no problem , come on in. I had been here before a few times to visit and been here before . Great Irish pub Always great food and drinks .

Instead of being turned away or treated like a burden, we were immediately welcomed and found a great spot upstairs with awesome views of the village. The food and drinks completely delivered. The beer was fantastic, and you could tell the bartender actually cared about the quality of the pour (you have to try the Blacksmith). We started with the soft pretzels and beer cheese (excellent), but the absolute standout was the Celtic Spice Bag for the entree. I can't recommend it enough--you have to try it. I've been to a lot of Irish pubs around the world, including plenty in Ireland. A lot of places think that slapping some Claddaghs, harps, and four-leaf clovers on the wall while blasting the same five pub songs we all know by heart is enough to make an Irish pub. Boudicca's has the decor and the music, sure, but that's not why we'll be coming back. When you walk into a real pub over on Salt Hill in Galway Bay, what actually makes the place special is the atmosphere. It's the genuine welcome from the people, the care behind the bar, and food that feels unique. Boudicca's captured that exact feeling right in the middle of Tennessee. The staff was fantastic, the vibe was perfect, and we had an absolute blast. Highly recommended.

I ordered a Smithwick's ale and my wife got a Diet Coke. A waitress who spent a fair amount of time chit chatting with the table next to us while we waited, finally asked what we wanted for lunch. I love their corned beef and cabbage soup I ordered a bowl of that, and I ordered the fish sandwich with a side of zesty fried pickles and jalapeños, my wife ordered the traditional Fish and chips. 3 items right easy enough to remember? Took about 15 to 20 minutes for our food to come out the waitress set my wife's fish and chips in front of her. She set my fish sandwich in front of me, and said will there be anything else? I said yes please scratch the soup I ordered, the shocked look on her face said it all, "I'll go get it right now", um NO I wanted an appetizer, not soup and sandwich. 2 of 3 items The fish and chips were as good as they always are, however, the fish sandwich was below par and had a weird Spice in the batter that I didn't care for. I ate half of it and left the rest. my wife was full after eating one of the two pieces of fish so I finished off the other piece. The fries used to be steak cut, they used to be great. Now they went to some weird curly thin cut, which are easily overcooked. In my opinion the spicy pickles and jalapeños were dry and over fried. The bill came to $42, for which I would have left a 18% tip $7.5, divide that by 3 (items) I left $5 tip, 2 out of 3. I don't think we'll be coming back. So sad we used to love this place. But in this day and age, no one cares.

So if you have a BIG appetite, you may be in trouble. But good flavors nonetheless. A cup of soup is a teaser. Fish & Chips...Good but again, the serving is on the smaller size. Don't expect a piece of fish that you can grab in your hand. Shepherds Pie - great flavors. One item that should be taken ff the menu completely...the stuffed mushroom appetizer. When these came out we simply could not believe just how small these were. If the mushrooms were the size of a quarter, that would be bragging. Everyone in my party likes or loves to cook and we all wondered where someone could even purchase mush rooms this small. Desserts - well, well, well. Bread pudding and sticky toffee. Fantastic.
