The restaurant has a modern look with wooden paneling and strip lighting, making it feel like a great date-night spot. There is ample parking as it's situated in a larger shopping plaza. Another thing I really liked is that sushi items come one piece at a time, while rolls come as four pieces, so you can try a much wider variety without getting overly full on one item. It's perfect for an AYCE menu where you want to sample as much as possible. We ordered from the premium menu and everything we tried was chef's kiss. They did seem to be having a bit of an off day with the service. Some of our food was delayed, and orders placed well after ours were coming out before ours. Our server did apologize and mention they were having some issues in the back but everything eventually came out, and it was very good. My favorites were the Ama Ebi (sweet shrimp), the Japanese scallop (which practically melts in your mouth) and the Yellowtail Cilantro Roll. I tried to make the best of it and had my girls carry their ice cream out with them, but in the rush, my toddler dropped hers and burst into tears.
