Fujiya is my go to spot in Camarillo for reasonably priced Japanese food. I usually only order off the regular menu so can't say much about the AYCE since I'm not a big eater and I prefer more variety over quantity. Although I do enjoy sushi and sashimi, I find that my favorites from Fujiya are mostly the cooked food, such as the green mussels, salmon Kama, yellowtail Kama, and the agedashi tofu. There is just so much flavor in these dishes that it really overshadows the raw items such. One exception would be the poki salad, there's something about the sauce/dressing that I really like and once I started eating it I didn't stop until it was all gone. Their sashimi salad is also very yummy and you get quite a bit for the price. Service is always great, from the lady that is always there, to the younger servers, I've never had any issues and always felt welcomed.

Since it's the only all you can eat sushi spot in the area, I continue to return when I'm with some friends and we're craving a large amount of sushi. However, if you're looking for anything but to stuff yourself full of sushi, I would not recommend. The sushi is very mediocre and not very good if you're looking for some tasty non-AYCE sushi. The service is friendly, but the inside ambiance feels very dated.

Good quality with everything I had. I do see the issue with too much rice on the sishi and hand rolls. I understand what they mean by the sushi rice being a little dry.... But hands down worth the price offered, and I feel like you receive far more than what you pay for. This isint the place for Los Angeles connisuers looking to judge every cut, this is a great place for solid fresh fish at a great AYCE price. Staff was very nice amd attentive

Camarillo classic, always a solid hitter, good vibes, old school vibes and they offer the all you can eat but this time we did not do that, The garlic bomb was bomb.com Only thing is they switched out their siracha bottle sauce for packets that did not taste the same Service was a little forgetful but very nice

We had an extremely disappointing experience at this AYCE restaurant. We go to get sushi fairly often and was in town to grab a quick dinner. Only made it through one round of AYCE. Sushi of fish to rice ratio was terrible. There was so much rice with small amount of fish. The rice was extremely dry. When confronting the waitress and owner about it, she was upset with us. Her reaction was not a pleasant and tried to put it on us that this is how the proportions are everywhere. We tried to communicate with her and showed her what the sushi looked like, however, she didn't want to reason, gave us an attitude, and insisted in us ordering a 2nd round. Very upsetting experience. Would not recommend going to this restaurant. They don't care about their customers here. If we can put a 0 Star don't recommend, we would.

We've been coming to Fujiya for all you can eat sushi for years. They have a great diverse menu and we love the quality of the fish. Great place to come for special occasions, with friends, etc. The service has always been great and personable, though there can be a small wait on holidays (we went on Valentine's Day one year but expected the wait). The price of all you can eat has steadily risen, now it's around $36 per person, but still the only one in Camarillo. We end up spending around $90 for two people all you can eat plus drinks and tip. The location is small and cute, you can see the sushi makers behind the bar. The bathroom could use an update.

We went here last night. It was pretty good. We didn't do the all you can eat. The main roll I got was okay. Not great but not awful. Their sea urchin was pretty good but maybe a bit too much rice for my taste. All in all pretty good.

We went with 4 regulars who love this place. We were a party of 7 and our server was super helpful when it came to splitting the check. Everyone in the group did all you can eat so it was simple for them to break it down. The pros: would I go back? Absolutely, and that's probably the most important part. The fish was fresh and all you can eat pricing is an insane deal if you go when you're hungry. The servers were friendly, the music was good and not too loud. Everyone loved their food. I really appreciate the ordering sheet lets you order in rounds. The cons: the bathroom was rough. The servers disappeared for long stretches of time. We ran out of water and soda multiple times. To be fair the place was busy and it was a Saturday evening, but it felt like they needed more staff.

I think people forget about this spot or don't realize how stellar it is. To have been frequenting this spot for the last ten years says something. The sushi is quality, the fresh rolls are to die for, great non sushi items, and the staff are always friendly. Sushi planet has some of the best fresh rolls around. Also the presentation is a 10/10 here. If you haven't been I'd urge you to give them a try because I always find their fish is super fresh and the rolls are more creative than other spots. They've been able to stay open all of these years because they have just really good food. I also like that when I don't feel like sushi or want some different types of dishes this place always hits. For sushi these are my favorite: - OMG Roll - Albacore Delight Roll - Scallop cut roll - Mexican cut roll - Salmon sushi is always fire If you are not in the mood for sushi I love their lunch and dinner bento boxes. Reasonably priced and comes with a lot of food. Pro tip: best miso soup in Ventura county is served here. Back to the non-sushi items. Here are some favs: - Chicken fried rice - seasame chicken (dip in teriyaki sauce) - Shrimp tempura The staff are always nice here and friendly. I like dining inside because it's clean and comfortable. Staff are always attentive and never a bad vibe in the place. I've also been a long time costumer because their takeout is always flawless. I usually order delivery or takeout from here every other month (for the last ten years) and NOT ONCE has my order ever been Incorrect. Like that's seriously unheard of. They really pay attentive to detail here and always make a take away experience a pleasant one. If I had to make one comment that isn't gushy about how much I love this spot it would probably just be that it's a little pricey for what it is. Definitely due to the cost of goods I've seen the prices go up over the years. Some of my favorite rolls are $20+ and I do get that's a little steep. I've cut back on ordering as much just because I can't leave without spending $40-50 here every time but it's good, what can I say. Sushi planet is thankfully my local favorite sushi joint and I'm happy to keep supporting them because they've never let me down.

But this afternoon there were a few customers enjoying dine in, while I opted for take out. (I ate outside in the community patio area that is shared with other restaurants) I ordered the lunch A sushi combo. 4 pieces of sushi and a California roll. I was going to get the Alaskan roll, but chose this and was very satisfied. I'll be coming back so I'll get the Alaskan roll next time. For $14.99 I was given a piece of tuna, albacore, salmon and shrimp sushi, along with a California roll. You also got a small miso soup, which was delicious. The fish was fresh tasting and of very good quality. My least favorite was the shrimp piece. Although fresh and presented well I felt the taste was rather bland. Very easy to happen with shrimp sushi. I stay away from it for that reason. Perhaps I'll see if, for an upcharge, I can sub a different piece for it next time. This combo choice for lunch was the perfect amount and very reasonably priced. The sushi chef and server were both very pleasant and welcoming. There were cobwebs all over the railings and weeds growing out of the planter. The dessert options were terrible. Nobody wants crepes. A Disappointing Experience at Masa Sushi -- Especially for Guests With Food Allergies…read more We have visited Masa Sushi frequently because, when our orders are prepared correctly, the food is genuinely delicious. Unfortunately, the service has become consistently disappointing, and after our most recent experience, I feel compelled to share a serious concern--particularly for anyone dining with food allergies. I have a serious gluten and dairy allergy, and every time I visit, I make a point of clearly communicating my allergies when ordering. Unfortunately, the server consistently seems unable or unwilling to acknowledge these concerns. He often simply stares at me without responding, and there appears to be a significant language barrier that makes communicating important dietary restrictions extremely difficult. His body language can also come across as visibly frustrated or irritated when I ask questions about my food. During my most recent visit, I ordered a Chirashi bowl and specifically requested no Kani (imitation crab) because Kani can contain wheat and therefore poses a serious risk for someone with a gluten allergy. I made this request specifically because previous Chirashi bowls at this restaurant have arrived with Kani despite my request to have it removed. When I explained that I could not have the Kani, the server told me, "There is none in it." I was confused because my previous Chirashi bowls had contained it. Unfortunately, when my food arrived, the Kani was there again. I immediately called the server over, pointed directly to the Kani, and told him, "I can't eat this." He took the plate back to the sushi bar. Instead of preparing a new dish or addressing the potential cross-contact issue, the Kani was simply removed from the existing dish, and the same plate was returned to me. I asked, "You didn't replace it with anything?" The server did not answer and quickly walked away. This was particularly concerning because when someone has a serious food allergy, simply removing the offending ingredient from a completed dish is not necessarily an adequate solution. The Kani had already been in contact with the other food on the plate. At a minimum, I would have expected the restaurant to take the allergy seriously, communicate with me about how the dish was being remade, and provide a safe replacement rather than simply picking the ingredient off and returning the same food. The service in general is also extremely slow and consistently feels disconnected. This doesn't seem to depend on how busy the restaurant is; even when there are only a few tables, the service often feels flustered, inattentive, and at times rude. It's unfortunate because the food itself really is good. We've returned many times because we genuinely enjoy it when everything is prepared correctly. However, delicious food isn't enough to justify repeatedly dealing with this level of service--especially when a customer's serious food allergy is involved. For anyone with a significant food allergy, I would strongly recommend exercising caution and making sure the restaurant can clearly understand and safely accommodate your dietary restrictions before ordering. In my case, after this experience, I no longer feel comfortable dining at Masa Sushi despite genuinely enjoying the food. Great food, but the service and handling of serious allergy concerns need significant improvement.
