Two stars for quality of food. One star for service. The restaurant is one of the few places that have ayce options. The food came at a timely manner and was average or slightly below average quality. This is the first time I have seen uni on an ayce menu however the taste of it was the worst aspect of my whole meal. The udon I ordered took 30 minutes to come out to where I was somewhat full already when it came out. Worst part is that the rice was very cheap. I felt as tho I have had better rice quality from grocery store sushi. If quantity is what your looking for I don't think there's much of anything else around this area. But for quality there are places significantly better for similar or even better prices. read more

This is my favorite place for sushi in the county. Their all you can eat menu is hard to beat, especially for you go in for their lunch hours. Everything I have tried has been fresh and delicious! They have the usuals, rainbow roll, tiger roll, etc but then also have rolls that I have yet to find at other restaurants. I forgot the exact name but their roll that named Eagle roll (or something to that extent) is AWESOME. Don't like rice? They have rice less rolls too... definitely go on an empty stomach and make the all you can eat worth your while! Also I LOVE the staff they always remember my dad and me when we go in for lunch and joke with us in a good, familiar way. This is a small hidden gem in Camarillo, I have been going here for years for the all you can eat menu... (the all you can eat allows you to choose from a huge sushi selection and also for those family's or friends who aren't fish lovers it also allows endless non-fish items such at Katsu chicken or udon and many other non fish items... I enjoy many different rolls the ultimate albacore, Cajun tender, and the lobster crunch I recommend all. This place is small and gets packed easily but there's a reason for that they have a good customer service and a real sushi house feel. The owners also operate this restaurant so you know there is a level of customer service that exceeds beyond a corporate or chain Resturant feel. Pleasant, delicious, and always leave full and happy. We went on a Thursday night for their all you can eat. Overall the food was good, but we only got though two of the three rounds offered. Our server didn't explain the ordering system or menu at all, so we were on our own. Although the food took quite some time to come out, it was worth the wait for authentic food. I went yesterday around 5pm, it was very empty in there, only one other group came in while I was there so I was a little apprehensive, but it was really good. I had a Poke Roll and some Sake and it was beyond amazing. The poke was perfect. My friend had vegetable rolls and other vegetarian options which she enjoyed. I would definitely come back. The only problem is that they don't do half rolls. I like to do all you can eat, but it's only worth it if you eat 3+ rolls. I don't eat that much so I like doing half size rolls as many places allow to try out more options without wasting any. read more

While not all fish were terrible, the usage of sriracha to mask bad fish and very much the worst tasting uni I've ever had by a long shot were upsetting. I hate logging on to Yelp to give bad reviews, but this has to be said. My mom and I met up here for lunch the other day. She saw the all you can eat sign, and asked the waitress about it, who pointed to the all you can eat portion of the menu, and showed us the prices. After she brought out the first round of my mom's sushi, we had to wait a good 10-15 minutes before we even saw her again to ask for the next round (we were literally the only two customers in the restaurant!). The third time my mom asked for more (they only brought two pieces at a time), the waitress laughed and told the chef, as if we weren't going to take advantage of the all you can eat deal! While paying for our bill, we discovered we were paying almost double what we were previously lead to believe. The waitress apologized for not explaining it right, but still charged us the whole amount. With a considerably large number of sushi restaurants in Camarillo, we won't be back. read more

I was born and raised in Japan so my standards for Japanese food are very high with that being said: Don't come here for anything BUT the AYCE (all you can eat) sushi at LUNCH. I don't think i'd ever come for $25 for dinner....even though the menu for dinner is a little bigger. When you come here don't expect great japanese sushi, this place is an american sushi place. The parking is easy and the menu for AYCE at lunch is enough of a variety to have your stomach wishing it was bigger and able to handle more food! Pros: The fish/seafood to rice ratio is great. They don't give you so much rice that you feel as though you can't finish one roll because you've carb loaded enough for a marathon! The staff is always friendly, fast and attentive, weather i've sat at the bar, tables or in the little tatami rooms. The roll that is my favorite by far is the tempura Philadelphia roll, which is wonderful since the cream cheese just melts into the salmon for a perfect combo! Cons: They will charge you if you don't finish all your sushi and there are lots of leftovers. This rule is loosely based on a customer by customer basis. We've never left enough to have this rule imposed on us but its just a FYI. They also say that you can't share rolls but I always sample what my husband has ordered. This is a great place to just go and eat your heart out if you're having a fish craving. read more

I went to this place when it was Cherry Blossom, but alas, it is now Fujiya. The decor is somewhat really nice for a group to have sushi. They have "rooms" that look like Japanese tea rooms. You can actually eat like how they formally do in Japan. I thought that was really cool. The sushi is pretty good and they have an "all-you-can-eat" within a two hour period I believe which is pretty darn good. It's been awhile since I've gone here, since my new favorite sushi place is just down the street. I might have to re-evaluate once I come back. read more

Let's be honest - for someone who likes great atmosphere and beautiful surroundings while she eats, this would never have been somewhere I would have stopped on my own. It's in a strip mall, with no curb appeal, and the inside is not much better sadly. However, this is easily some of the best sushi I have ever had. I went with my best friend after we had gone on a hike and we were starving - which was good news, because their AYCE option is AMAZING, and truly ENDLESS. We must have ordered 72 rounds - ok, maybe not that many. If I remember correctly it was around $24 each, which is more than I normally spend on a lunch, but definitely worth the splurge as I know I didn't need dinner that day as I had eaten so much. I highly recommend the Spicy Tuna Roll, Cucumber Roll, Avocado Roll and the 911 Roll. I am highly allergic to shellfish, so I have to be careful about my sushi selections, but they were super accommodating in ensuring no shellfish touched my rolls. If you can get past the lack of ambiance, this place is worth a try! read more

So much variety! And the staff (i.e., Korean ladies) is so nice. We couldn't finish our food (**GASP**) by about half a cut roll and they didn't charge us. Also, this is one of the only AYCE sushi places where I've see ebi (that's raw shrimp). They serve it with a seasoned and fried prawn head that still has all the juices in it. The nigiri has a really good fish to rice ratio. They're really generous with the portions there. Favorite sushi spot ever!! I drive from Oxnard just for this place. It's so fresh and the customer service is awesome. I forgot the name of the waitress who is usually there when I come, but she always has a smile on her face and it's always so polite and kind. I used to go a lot when I was working near by. We always let them know we were on a lunch break and they would always be so quick and more than happy to comply with our time crunch. Moreover the food is great! So fresh, so good! I was hesitant to try it because I though we would have to sacrifice quality for quantity (this place is all you can eat) but you really don't! $50 + tip for two people for all the sushi rolls and appetizers you can eat which is usually a lot lol! Definitely recommend if you're hungry and want sushi. The waiting time isn't very long either. $19.99 for lunch (before 2:30pm) and $24.99 for dinner. I ordered many items so that we would get them served quickly. This particular AYCE is strange because it's all you can eat in 3 rounds. The sushi rolls are ok if you like tons of rice. I order some Uni and wanted to throw up. This Monday i was having symptoms of food poisoning and I think it was the Uni that did me in. I'm still recovering as we speak. Not only did I get sick, they wanted to charge me full price for my kids and I had to point out that they are only 9 and 7 (which they gave me a weird look like I was lying). First time trying this place, on a Wednesday night, and let me tell you the service was horrible. I don't blame the one kid here working all by himself, but rather the management. The sushi was sub par. It had its hit or miss on rolls. These rolls specifically were the highlight of the meals: volcano, rocknroll amazing, and lobster crunch rolls. The sashimi was not the best the crab was not authentic, the salmon was decent, octopus ok. Overall 2 stars for the bad management and decent rolls. It was Friday night at around 815 pm when we got there to eat. We were meeting 2 of our friends who live in the area and suggested this place because it was AYCE. It was pretty busy inside and they didn't have a sign in sheet, just a lady seating people. There were 2 groups of 4 ahead of us. We stepped outside to wait because it was REALLY warm inside. When they were ready to seat us we were brought to a dirty table that had not been wiped down yet. We waited for it to be cleaned and sat down. We received menus that were extremely overwhelming for me. There were a ton of options, all different from eachother! So much variety, but almost too much. It took me a really long time to decide on things. We got a few rolls (baked and fresh), salmon pieces, albacore pieces, crab and miso soups. RICE RICE RICE...SO MUCH RICE. I have always heard about AYCE filling up their customers on rice, but have never experienced it myself. The place where we normally go uses a small amount of rice with their pieces and rolls. The ball of rice used under the sushi pieces was thicker and wider than my thumb. It was awful! The sushi pieces & rolls did taste good though, the salmon was better than the albacore in my opinion. The rolls had even more rice!! They were just huge; impossible to fit a whole piece in my mouth easily. They use far too much rice & they have the blandest miso soup ever. Yucky! The service was quick, but we were pretty slow. The servers weren't particularly nice or mean. They were just there. They brought out our food quickly, but didn't fill up our waters unless we asked. I feel like there was a breakdown in communication between everyone. It was warm, and didn't seem to be that clean inside. I never saw the area where the sushi was being prepared because we sat to the side of it. They had small areas where you can sit on the floor, in a seat with back support, and eat at a small lowered table, like in Japan. It was cute, but the rest of the location, not so much. This is my favorite all you can eat sushi restaurant. I used to live near downtown Los Angeles and wouldn't mind taking the drive to eat here for an intense sushi craving. They are very friendly here, just make sure to pace yourself on your orders. Ordering too much too fast can get you really full very quickly. I made the mistake of doing this the first time around. My boyfriend and I went here for Valentine's day and we probably dined for nearly two hours! I liked the vibe here and they don't try to rush you like many restaurants. They have these small private Japanese-style dining rooms complete with shoji screens and low tables with mats you can sit on. You can sit traditional Japanese style or stick your legs underneath the table. This dining experience is not complete unless you sit in these rooms. They don't cost extra and are so fun! Pro's: The portions are very controlled so that you can try many things on the menu without getting too full on just a couple items. 75% of the actual menu is All You Can Eat They don't overload the sushi rolls with rice Con's: They charge you for leftovers - This rule is quite loose, I had a few pieces of leftover sushi and they didn't say a thing. However, I would suggest being very wise on the rolls you order. I came here with a couple friends once where we were all so full but had an entire California roll left to eat. We didn't want to get overcharged so we stuffed it in somehow. I believe the tempura is a bit dough-ey which brings my review down a star. Awesome place for the all you can eat sushi! You get 3 rounds to order as much sushi as you can stuff your face with. Pace yourself or you won't make all 3! If you don't order enough though, it doesn't make it worth it to do all you can eat. All of their sushi is freshly made, no conveyor belts, or pre-made stuff sitting around ready to poison you. They have a sushi bar & chef that makes it while you wait! Hugeee variety on the all you can eat menu, I promise you will find what you like! Handrolls are included as well as cut rolls too.
