Bento D that has: noodles, plain musubi, mochicko chicken, shrimp tempura, potato coquette and namasu.

Local okazuya grindz! They have bentos (A-D) to help you decide and try a little bit of everything (also makes service faster!). Got Bento D that has: noodles, plain musubi, mochicko chicken, shrimp tempura, potato coquette and namasu. Loved the mochicko chicken and namasu (so crunchy!). Coquette was ok, tasted 5x better when I added my own okonomiyaki sauce. Noodles and tempura were oily; needed more veggies and I don't think I like okazuya tempura batter (doughy). It is a big lunch (bento is ~2 servings), and put me into a food coma afterwards

I love this local store. A lot of options to choose from. It is clear not a chain restaurant, which I like the best. Staff are busy and nice and they keep the place very clean. Long line and for me I had to study what I want so I can make choices fast. Been there so many times. Oh, only for Togo.

Saturday May 30, 2026 we decided to come here to get okazuya for breakfast. Metered street parking or 4 parking stalls in front of their front entrance. Service is fast. All the food looks good. It's easy to spend a lot in here. But, it's definitely worth it!! Ambiance is casual and comfortable in here. We will be back again for sure. Support local businesses.

visited Fukuya but a little disappointed...no nori maki and no Shirae......but the rest of the plaza was excellent. the time was 10:30 so maybe a little too early? Service is always very good will definitely return. lots of people inside but typical upbeat while waiting. Food is always tasty but nori maki rocks.

Early mornin' grindz! I don't care who you are.. Where you're from.. What you did.. As long as you love me..

"I want you to know that I'm grateful for every moment I've spent with you." -- The Wind Rises I first experienced Fukuya with my parents and so Okazuya has been part of life as far as I can remember. Being of mixed race, I've been exposed to many cultures within my own family. Yet, one of my best memories was being dropped off with my sister to my grandparents house because we knew we would eat well with all the Okazuya foods in grandmas kitchen! Sometimes it was as simple as... Oh, the start of this review was written years ago and I never finished it! So long story short, Fukuya has been around since the 1930's and I've stopped by countless times over the years. Not my favorite Okazuya, but definitely one of the busiest with one of the largest selections! Authentic, convenient, & open before 5am! In the end, I highly recommend Fukuya for those that live in Hawaii with roots that go back generations to the plantation days. Heck, I'd recommend to just about anyone who loves simple picnic foods that our grandparents once enjoyed. Not much has changed over the years except the bright building and prices. "Well, Jerry, they're Japanese. I mean, that TV you watch, that sushi you eat..." - Cosmo Kramer, Seinfeld da Scene: Back again, as they are open when others are not! Tough time of the year, lots of folks take off... was sooo happy to grab a couple of mixed boxes and mochi. Nice to talk to folks excitedly talking about what to get and people watching. Regulars know the score, best bang is start with a combo box and ADD ON your favoties. It's easy to get carried away picking from scratch and end up with a $30 box. da Grub: It's consistently GREAT and SAME year after year. Akule, Nori Chicken, Ahi burger, veg tempura & shoyu pork are my add ons to a A-D box. da Service: can be long line, but moves surprisingly quick, don't be discouraged when you see the line go to the end of the lot, go for it!

Honestly my favorite this here is the Nori Chicken 10/10!! I also love getting their fried chicken & vegetable tempura!

Love this place. It hasn't changed over the years. The food is consistently good, the service is friendly. If you want some good local food, this is a great place to go. The chicken, chow fun, crisp gau gee, potato hash,... try em!

Tried this longstanding okazuya on a layover in Honolulu and I was not disappointed. Nori chicken- fan favorite- good flavor and moist chicken meat Ahi burger- delicious, a tad salty for me Shoyu hot dog- comfort food goodness Nishime- an old school classic- the Hawaiian Japanese version just hits different Makizushi, cone sushi and furikake musubi- again, these are truly Hawaiian Japanese style Scored some of their spicy ahi poke- wow. It was a rather pricy plate, but worth every penny in my opinion.

Parking is not plentiful. Spaces are limited and difficult to find. Luckily people come and go frequently, but it's a bit difficult to maneuver the parking area. Man the mochiko chicken was so delicious. The flavor was absolutely amazing and it wasn't dry. The noodles were alright. There was a good mix of ingredients. The furikake musubi was quite good. The musubi was coated generously with furikake and the rice was a good texture. Tap to pay is not accepted. Overall Fukuya has a good selection of entrees. Service is quick and food is good.

The most expensive futomaki I've ever bought. $8.50. Didn't know how much it was as there was no sign until I saw the receipt.
    Stephanie L.

Fukuya is good, but unfortunately I will probably start frequenting other okazuyas. Be honest with you, it's just too expensive now. $8.50 for futo maki sushi The plate itself was $26. Every time we come, it seems like we're double charged for a single item. This time it was the ahi burger. We were charged for 2. The nature of okazuyas is that we make a plate, they total it up, and then we pay. But when the cashiers consistently miscalculate the plates, it adds up over time. I will still come to Fukuya if I can't get to the other okazuyas in a timely manner, but I'm hesitant to return.

We live just around the corner from Fukuya, so popping in is super easy and convenient. For our recent picnic at Ala Moana Beach Park, we ordered 30 bentos and an assorted sushi platter to-go--and everything went off without a hitch. Picnic Pickup Experience - Scheduled pickup for 8:00 AM - Arrived a few minutes early and found our entire order waiting - Parking lot right out front with about six stalls - Staff brought all 30 bentos and the sushi platter to our car and helped load it in Bento & Pricing Details - Bentos ranged from $15.00 to $16.60 each - Assorted sushi platter paired perfectly for sharing - Option to choose ala carte items in-store if you want to build your own bento Quality & Service - Ingredients felt fresh and well-prepared - Rice cooked just right; proteins tasted clean and flavorful - Friendly, helpful staff made the whole process effortless Final Thoughts Fukuya Delicatessen nailed our early-morning pickup--quick, organized, and hassle-free. The bentos and sushi platter were solid quality, and the convenience can't be beat when you live nearby. I'd happily return for bentos (or a custom creation) next time we need picnic catering.

    Yummmmmy!!

Hands down, the BEST "okazuya" where you can get the best home made food, aka "plate lunch" with SUCH VARIETY, mostly different, yet the same... daily. This is my second trip here from California and the last time I started chatting with a customer who lived in my neighborhood who was also visiting Hawaii at that time. Hahaha! I'm not sure what time these Aunties start preparing, since they open at like 5:30 a.m., but hope they know we truly appreciate it!! Everything I've had so far has been delicious and I know they run out of food sometimes before they close.... The parking lot only has like 3-4 spots, so you need to somehow time your visit appropriately, but people are also in and out in a few minutes, so it's never been annoying at all... especially since you know your trip is totally worth it! When my son, who lives here, says we can get Fukuya today... I get totally excited. There's nothing like it!

As a returning customer placing my second order, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service. As the food the first time was amazing. I was prepared to spend $77 on this order, and the least I expected was the professional courtesy of a phone call to explain the situation and offer an apology, even if the staff was busy or unable to fulfill the order. Simply canceling an order without any communication demonstrates a strong lack of respect for customers and their time. Because of how this was handled, I will not be returning, nor can I recommend this establishment to others. Strong customer service is about communication and accountability, and unfortunately, this experience fell far short of those expectations.

Well there is enough parking in the back parking lot. But there's this security guard there. I asked if he's the parking attendant and he said I'm security. I asked where machetes is and he said that's in the front I only care about the back. So I guess that's his only job to watch the parking lot. And it's located across a homeless camp. So I can see why the need for parking security. Such a turn off! Upon entering machetes I was greeted. The worker asked if I was ready to order and I said just another minute as I wanted to look over the menu for what I wanted since it was my first time. The counter was covered in devices I guess a lot of people order from here. I ordered a turkey and salami sandwich. The worker then asked if I wanted it on the white or brown wheat bread. I chose wheat. While waiting I asked if they make their own bread and they do so I was impressed. The worker asked me, you say you didn't want tomatoes? Then I responded I want everything it supposed to come with. I thought I heard him say a second thing but wasn't sure and I was looking closer to the menu. I didn't realize you can add items to the sandwich for free. The worker then hands me the sandwich wrapped ready to go. I then said oh sorry can you add peppers, cucumbers and Italian vinaigrette. He did not look happy. I apologized saying sorry it was my first time. He said it was cool. Well proceed to pay. And he said have a nice day and I said thanks and left. Sandwich tasted amazing! Big portion! The wheat bread was so soft and light. Refreshing from all the vegetables. And moist from the vinaigrette. Although peppers were missing. Total for just the and sandwich was $13.40. Not a bad sandwich. Just a weird location and weird vibe. Don't forget that there are free addons and a list of them in a tiny section on the bottom of menu. They won't remind you it's there or offer it lol. I'd come back.

The team works hard to craft your sandwich every time, and I always get a warm "thank you" when I pick mine up (I swear I got into a thank-you battle once, and of course, they won). I highly recommend the tuna sandwich. It's seasoned perfectly and generously filled with tuna. The greens are always piled high. Shredded carrots, spinach leaves, and more sprouts than you'd think possible. It's healthy and DELICIOUS. I usually add avocado, and the sandwich with avocado comes out to $13.75, which is a great deal for Waikiki. Oh! and you get a little skewer of two pineapple slices! It's cute, refreshing, and perfectly ripe every time. The last smoothie I ordered was the Avocado Green Island. It's made with mango, avocado, spinach, banana, greek yogurt, and coconut milk. It's creamy, slightly tangy, and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend. I've also tried their chicken salad sandwich (money!) and my favorite, the Captain Salad. I recommend getting it with Caesar dressing. The brand of ranch they use isn't really my thing. They also have a homemade balsamic vinagarette that sounds amazing. The salad is huge, topped with turkey and generous crumbles of bacon. I'm telling you, they're serving hit after hit after hit at this spot. Go and enjoy ASAP!

The pesto chicken salad was loaded with beautiful green goodies which made this treat as aesthetically pleasing as it was delectable. They're also slapping down some of the best local Hawaiian ingredients into these here sanguines. The pesto itself was mac-nut based, which was intriguing. I'll be honest, I couldn't taste the difference between that and a pine nut pesto, but it was friggin delish pesto either way. The only downside I can think of is that the bread here lands somewhere between "ok" and "good". I've never had a bread quite like it, but it reminds me of a mix between an artisanal white bread, and a painini bread that you would find in Italy. The interior of the store is bright, clean, and luxe, and the left side features a deli section while the right side is for ordering coffee, tea, and pastries. There's a lot of small items that they sell on the shelves, such as jams, snacks, and branded tote bags. Service is generally pretty friendly and quick! My favorite thing to get from this location is their mont blanc, which is light and fluffy with small chocolate bits interspersed throughout. I've tried their latte and mochas before, which are decent but somewhat expensive. I wish they sold cake slices at this location (can be found at the Dean and Deluca in Ward), but otherwise there's a decent selection of pastries available on a daily basis. Will have to come back to try their afternoon tea!

Course 1: house-baked petit raisin scone was very PETIT and dry Course 2: Okinawan Sweet Potato Vichyssoise not my favorite Course 3: house baked Kona Baguette (don't know why it was called Kona); Herb beet & Manchego Bruschetta roasted beets chopped up on a house baked raisin bread with a manchego cheese crisp; Truffle cauliflower mouse, saffron gelee topped with braised octopus This was the weirdest dish I ever had and could not finish it!Smoked Salmon egg crepe topped with ikura; Tandoori chicken curry focaccia was ok; Beef Tartare on top of a phyllo nest with a poached Quail Egg was nice. Course 4: Velvet Cream Cheese with Peach Jelly; Sakura Mont Blanc tart; Honoka'a dark chocolate cake was rich and decadent; I liked the Pavlova (crispy French meringue) with raspberry coulis, raspberry and whipped cream; I also liked the raspberry pistachio entremet with the raspberry mousse! Course 5: did not enjoy the pineapple sobert flavored with li hing! Be sure to get the $5 off Kamaina Discount! Complimentary 3 hour valet parking!

I can see why Storto's Deli & Sandwich has such a loyal following…read more I ordered the Aliʻi and I believe the only bread they have is on sweet bread. I ordered without bell peppers, but with everything else on it. The sweet bread was so good, and I really liked the combination of crunchy sprouts and their papaya dressing. The dressing gives the sandwich a sweet, tropical flavor that works surprisingly well. It's definitely on the sweeter side, but it's also really delicious. One thing though, this is a sandwich you should eat right away. The papaya dressing will soak into the bread pretty quickly, so it's at its best when it's fresh. I ordered a half, and honestly, at a lot of places it would already count as a large sandwich. Great value for the price. I also enjoyed watching the team work behind the counter. There were three ladies running the shop. One taking orders, one making sandwiches, and one working the register. But whenever it got busy, they all jumped into the assembly line without missing a beat. It was fun to watch, and they were turning out some seriously tasty sandwiches at an impressive pace. Ambiance is old school, proper neighborhood gem. Definitely a spot I'd come back to whenever I'm in Haleʻiwa.

I used Storto's Catering for my Tuesday meeting in Honolulu, and after seeing how much everyone loved it, I ordered it again for my Wednesday meeting in Ewa Beach. Literally everyone was stoked, and I was grateful Storto's was willing to deliver all the way from town. Shout out to Lyn -- super friendly, responsive, and thorough -- she made the whole process so easy from start to finish. Mahalo. The sandwiches were top notch -- the fresh-baked rolls, quality ingredients, generous portions, and of course the papaya seed dressing -- very easy to see why Storto's is such a local favorite. I'll definitely be ordering from Storto's every time I'm in Honolulu. Mahalo to Lyn and the entire team!
