    Cottage #6 is lovely.

Small but cozy room, fabulous piece of walkable property, wonderful event spaces, good food, pleasant staff (gold star for Janet!). Can't wait to return during warmer months.

I came here for a wedding back in late April. Now although we cannot control mother nature, I must say it was freezing. The wedding was scheduled outside via a tent and there was not ONE outdoor heater. I have to give myself a HUGE shout out for grabbing my down coat. The place itself is nice. A lot of movement around the property with going in and out the different venues for cocktail hour and the reception but we all trucked through. Snowboots, gowns and all. The place/bar for the after-party looked a tad bit hillbillyish to me. Rooms/ houses are a little outdated but nonetheless it's your typical cozy upstate cabin.

Our wedding weekend was a snowy dream come true thanks to FMR. The venue, the grounds, and the accommodations are so cozy, well maintained, and beautiful. It felt like home. And somehow in the middle of no where in the Catskills the chef was able to make gourmet delicious meals. From the BBQ, to the breakfasts, lunches and cocktail hour/reception meals, our guests were raving about the quality and taste of each meal. Lastly, the staff was so generous and made myself and my husband feel so comfortable and ensured we had an amazing time from start to finish. Anything we asked for was there at the drop of a hat. Morgan, Claire, Katlyn, Kayla, Tia, Nicole, and the whole team made us feel less like clients and more like we were part of the full moon family.

We stayed in the Mountain View Cabin 3. The views did not disappoint and are actually better than advertised on the Airbnb listing. The cabin and surrounding grounds were clean. The check in was easy and contactless. We really enjoyed our stay here. It is a little out of the way from most restaurants and activities and the cabin does not have a kitchen. So make sure you keep some gas in your car and don't mind a 30-40 min drive to most things. Overall a really great place.

So I stayed in Morningstar which was fantastic. Good room size, had a desk chair, twin beds, futon couch. So it had air conditioning with mini-split so heating as well. Also a tiny fridge that could chill 2 water bottles. Bathroom had hairdryer, soap bars, shampoo, liquid hand soap. WiFi worked well. No in room safe or cell reception, tv, or phone. It was quiet and beds were comfortable. There is a significant staircase to go up to cross road to main area, but it was doable. There is also separate parking, so you could drive down hill if you needed. There is no ac in some of the other areas, so a bit hot in July. Gorgeous setting and grounds.

Full Moon Resort was the first venue we checked out and our wedding proved to us that sometimes things really are that easy! If you can't read this long review, to sum it up: just book this place. If you need reasons, here: We got married here this past Monday and I could not wait to leave this place a RAVING REVIEW. Because if you want a spectacular wedding weekend that you can ACTUALLY ENJOY AS BRIDE OR GROOM, this is the PLACE! The best food is served here, and you get to have it more than just once. The grounds are magical. The staff is attentive. A lot of the newly renovated bathrooms have heat-radiated floors (!!). You get to plan a custom-tailored event here and get to be whisked around to enjoy it. The staff makes sure you are having a good time. We booked our wedding a year out, and got help from our coordinator, Morgan, immediately & every step of the way. She made sure we were aware of every decision we would have to make well in advance, so we had no last-minute scrambles. Throughout the whole process, she was there to help and quick to reply to any and every question we had. She was so organized and professional, and we really got the sense she loves her job. A tricky part of this venue is the couple gets to create a room chart. Something we knew would be a challenge, but our coordinator for this, Tia, made it EASY. She was also there for any questions we had or last-minute trouble shooting. She was also fast to help our guests out and incredibly understanding. Creating the chart was a key part of the experience, we were able to place old friends together and family near each other. It was totally worth the undertaking and made our weekend special. On our first day we were introduced to another coordinator, Alexis, who was (surprise surpise) ALSO AMAZING. She was so damn cool and helpful. She kept her eyes on the weather (since we had a fire & s'mores going outside) and let us know everything that was going on without distracting from our night. Through the whole weekend, she always seemed to know what we wanted! Anytime we had a question, the staff made sure to have a thorough answer. I was diagnosed with a dairy allergy (yes, butter too) in the middle of the process and was worried I'd go hungry/they wouldn't understand. I was FULL AND FED the whole weekend, the food I had available to me was amazing, and the staff was able to tell me exactly what went into everything. I was able to confidently sit down at our sweetheart table and chow down with out a paranoid "are we sure this doesn't have dairy in it?" My vegan friends didn't have to turn to their emergency trail-mix. Trust me, everyone will have a great time. The people that work here clearly love & have pride in what they do. This review could go on forever, I just want to add a few more shot outs. Great Bar Manager, Josh Brown, really cool guy who knew what he was doing. Consuela, head of catering, ridiculous sweet & made sure we were fed. I felt like I'd get in trouble if I didn't eat (in a good way lol). Devin & Jake, a few of our awesome bartenders. Michael, who humbly introduceds us, who did sound and set a whole lot up. John Hanley, who brought us to the ceremony and made sure we knew we didn't have to rush home. There was an overnight coordinator, Kaitlin. She made sure we knew who to reach in case of emergency (because you are in the middle of nowhere). The list could go on and on because the staff was really that great but I was a bit inebriated the entire time so names get blurry!! Since we had so much support with the planning, we were able to communicate what goes where upon arrival and then enjoy the weekend we created with our friends. We can't stop thinking about it, so if you want a magical & memorable weekend celebrating your love with your friends that you can actually enjoy, check this place out!! Then whole weekend was magical and I don't think I will ever stop reeling.

Came to Full Moon and stayed at the Mountain Sky cottage #8. The one all the way on the end. Coming from the city these cabin like cottages were awesome to stay in. The view from the big windows were a pleasant change of view. A green open Mountain View. The cottages are nicely spaced so they feel private. Fellas, as soon as the wife walks in the will say "omg how cute is this". Big windows. Nice open space. The bathroom and showers are off the hook. Double showers so you and a partner can be in there together. We came here for a mini honeymoon since the boss says she's afraid to fly to Italy (covid). Fairly priced. Def recommend for a weekend getaway. Even some golf in the area (which we are going to tomorrow morning, she doesn't know yet). Enjoy.

There were four of us in the car coming for dinner, and I believe we exclaimed collectively: wow. First impression did not disappoint. It was a freezing evening and we hurried inside. Another 'wow'. The check in area for the hotel is like an office space in any Mid-Century Modern fanatic's home - or, they wish it was. Just terrific. We were seated by the large windows overlooking the grounds. I could not get enough of the clean, purposely unfinished blonde wood, big windows, yet the amazing cozy feeling you got inside from the couches and other decor. Not only can you come for a dinner but plant your butt for the day with a book or computer and just start with a tea, work your way to coffee, and at noon just go for the cocktails. Nothing wrong with that. Like I said, there were four of us and it seemed we ordered one of each items on the menu - a total of 9 dishes. Everything came superbly finished and seasoned - no objections or comments from anyone other than praise. We split 2 desserts, and we had 6 drinks to the table. The maple squash was particularly finger-licking-delicious, as was the beet salad. At the end of our meal we had the pleasure to meet one of the co-owners of the establishment, Bjorn. Super nice guy who told us the story of the beginnings and how the place came about. We left full, happy, and couldn't stop talking about the resort all the way home. The bill, with tip, came out to be $400. I will definitely come back and I can't wait what else will be added to the Dandelion menu.

A discerning eye will note the efforts to maintain a thematic exterior color coordination across all the units. It's the kind of place you want to linger in. Unfortunately, the dining room didn't quite live up to the setting. We ordered six dishes and genuinely wanted to give every benefit of the doubt, but the food felt underwhelming overall. Nearly every dish was heavily over-seasoned, with salt dominating the flavors. The pasta was overcooked and even saltier than the anchovy itself. The salad was overdressed and salty, the branzino followed the same theme, and the charred sunchokes were crusted with salt to the point of distraction . It left us wondering whether these dishes were pre-shift photo shoot plates or simply not tasting as they should in a live service setting. The creativity and intention seem to be there, but the execution missed the mark on balance. With a lighter hand and more restraint in seasoning, the food could easily match the incredible atmosphere. We'd happily return for the experience--and hope the kitchen fine-tunes the flavors to let the ingredients truly shine .

The parking lot was gravel-based, so vehicles were parked a bit haphazardly, but the lot's spaciousness ensured that it was not really an issue. The hotel was right on the stream with a lovely grassy area dotted with Adirondack chairs, hammocks, and other ways to enjoy the view. The office was located right next to that little park and was also where the continental buffet breakfast was served. The small room had a great view of the water from its few tables. The breakfast options included various hot beverages, several types of milk, yogurt, berries, granola, pastries, breads, hard-boiled eggs, lox, tomatoes, cucumbers, and more. It was really the perfect few bites to start the day with energy and wellness. While the inn had a few larger cabins, many of the rooms were supposedly rather tiny, including ours. The room had a queen-sized bed, nightstand, wall-mounted television, and wooden desk with matching chair. There was a closet with some hanging and shelving space, as well as a hair dryer and coffeemaker. The room really left a lot to be desired from a space perspective, as it was hard to navigate. For instance, the room might have come with 2 luggage racks, but there was really only space for one. The bathroom was also tiny, and it was near impossible to use the toilet without sideswiping the pedestal sink on your way. The shower was a decent size at least. The bathroom came with fluffy towels and Aveda products, which were both appreciated. We also loved that the temperature and pressure of the water were phenomenal; in fact, the shower was like a fire hose! Though the room was small, it was SPOTLESS! Also, its individual heater packed a great deal of warmth. There was not an abundance of electrical outlets, but the alarm clock had one built in, as well as two USB ports. The extremely gracious staff had also left a binder of local recommendations for us on the table. The bed, however, was lumpy, and the pillows were cheap and uncomfortable. From a location standpoint, the inn was only a few blocks from either end of town, depending on which way you wanted to travel. The residential roads were very dark at night and many did not have sidewalks, so we definitely needed to be alert walking to and from the main drag, even though we knew the town was overly safe. The Woodstock Inn on the Millstream made up for its lack of amenities and small rooms with efficient, friendly service and clear dedication to guest satisfaction.

We arrived at a mildew-covered "Cabin" 7 (a garage extension) and a dead rotting snake on our doorstep; it smelled DISGUSTING. Rose, the manager came when I asked her to remove it and threw it over maybe 3ft, we smelled it the whole time until we had to move it ourselves. The inside of Cabin 7 is covered in black mold, and in the living room, kitchen, and bedrooms, it smelled so bad that we got out our air fresheners from the car and wound up having to leave, which was so sad because we were in town for a wedding we had been looking forward to for months with nowhere else to stay. I wish I read the reviews before the book, as I 100% would have gone somewhere else. My family had rodents in their cabin 4 and open bags of peanuts and snacks everywhere. They obviously didn't clean ANY of the cabins; who leaves open snacks in a rural cabin? There was no cleaning crew on site the 3 days and two nights we were there, only Rose, the sole employee, running around like a chicken with her head cut off. None of the lights in Cabin 5 worked for my dad, and he was left in a musty, old, dark cabin. Hmmm, what else, there were cigarette butts in all of the dilapidated grills, construction and rock piles everywhere, huge holds in the road. Out of every window and every view was ugly construction equipment. No groundskeeping was done, weeds were overrun with poison ivy all over our deck, and we couldn't even go outside. A slimy green-colored pool infested with frogs. Oh and NONE of the lights worked or electrical sockets worked in two of the cabins, we had to use our flashlights on our phones. The whole place has spotty bad electricity, so whatever you want to plug in would fall out of the wall! The SADDEST part?! We paid $504 for TWO nights and were not told of 1. Construction is everywhere. 2. The pool was not open (as if anyone would dare to go in it) in the middle of June perfect warm weather. Rose refused to offer us any sort of refund for the fact we wound up leaving it was so gross. She said it's policy to report stuff on site, not after, even though she was nowhere to be found and didn't answer any calls or texts from me or any of my family. Rose was so incredibly rude and told me I lied about the mold, which I have pictures of. Ruined what could have been a nice family weekend and risked my health and safety. Oh, I forgot to mention. I paid half upon booking, and the other half was to be paid upon checkout. We hadn't even put our bags down before I got a notification that my card had been charged the balance. I would have never stayed OR paid the balance if I had a choice after I saw our "cabin" (a garage attachment). When I asked Rose for a refund, she stated all complaints were to be made during the stay, which no one responded to. Foxfire Mountain House was exactly that for us. We gathered for a winter celebration among our closest friends, holding our special event in the charming antique greenhouse. Decorated with winter greens and soft white string lights, it carried a quiet charm that made everything feel thoughtful and full of meaning. Staying in the Cottage gave us space to unwind with the kind of privacy and warmth that made everything feel personal and intentional. The rooms were spacious, the fireplace inviting, and the pace of the weekend calm and restorative. Foxfire has a way of slowing time, gently inviting you to be present with the people who matter most.

The main floor of the house features its resturant along with a sitting room with a large fire place. The sitting room is perfect to read a book or play a board game while you have some complimentary tea and coffee. As for the rooms it's an old house so everything is very loud.. all the time...even at night. I get that it's an old house but some form of noise barrier would be nice. In the middle of the night you can hear ppl in the hallway or in the room next to you, doing...well I'll just leave it as loud adult activities lol... The beds are also not very comfortable. As for the food the breakfast is fire. All freshly made food with some nice options. Dinner was a little disappointing unfortunately, flavors just weren't there for multiple dishes. Overall a decent place but questionable if it's worth the price.
