My daughter was on her way back to school, and got as far as worcester before all her lights turned on in her car. She pulled over, and I looked online for a garage and saw that this one had good yelp ratings so I directed her to go there. We were NOT disappointed. There were females working there, so that was the first good sign, but the man that looked at her car was very nice, and really listened to her when she told him she had to drive 5 more hours to get back to school, and he checked it over carefully before he let her leave. So I've been driving around in a 12 year old car and it started to have some issues. I used to take it to L and L where the current DT Automotive now operates its business. After being spoiled for years at L and L I was a bit nervous having to look for a new mechanic. It's kind of like having a great doctor and he retires and now you got to look for a new one. Didn't feel like researching so I just said I'll stay at this location and try DT without knowing absolutely zero about them. Well, let me just say to this day, it's one of the best places I have ever let anyone service my vehicle. Paul is amazingly knowledgeable and kind and always eager to help. Never once did he get impatient or act like he was getting put out. Not to mention the most kindest and sweetest girls at the desk. Janelle and Christina are masters at their customer service. It truly is the best!! I will take my car to no other place. I'm so appreciative of all of the employees there. Can't thank them enough and Paul you aren't allowed to retire.... Ever! They put a new clutch in my Outback quickly, didn't over charge me and got me back on the road the same afternoon. I went to this shop today because of favorable reviews on repairpal.com, a site I found in a google search for reputable repair shops. When I called for an appointment, I discovered that they do not have any Saturday hours. They are only open on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Not a working-customer-friendly decision on their part. I didn't make the appointment because I couldn't take time off from work. But, I unexpectedly had a weekday off, so ended up making the appointment. Today I found out that the owner (Paul Marengo) could care less what his customers think. (By the way, he also owns the other shop in Worcester.) When I came in, I noticed that the music was very loud, but tried to ignore it while I read. When another customer came in soon thereafter, we were exchanging pleasantries when we both noticed that the DJ on the station was spouting "come to Jesus" rhetoric. It was obvious that we were both irritated by this, (despite the fact that we discovered during further conversation that we are both Catholic.) So the other customer got up and turned the sound off. At this point the young woman who had greeted us came out of her office and turned it back on. When we objected, she told us that the owner required that this station be on at all times. We asked: "Even though your customers state that they don't want to be forced to listen?" She said that those were his orders. At which point I asked to speak with him and was told he wasn't in today. In that case, I said, "he won't know that the station is not on" She said she had to keep it on. We were dumb-struck (only then noticing the signs in the room exhorting one to "have faith" and that Jesus loves you.) "You really mean to say that the owner doesn't care what his customers want?" She just reiterated that she was not allowed to turn it off. The only concession she would make was to turn the volume down so that it wasn't blasting at us as it had been. We both declared that we would certainly never come back, and the other customer said that she knew the owner of the attached showroom--which is not affiliated--and would be sure to tell him about our experience when he got back from vacation. Considering Mr. Marengo's lack of respect for the wishes of his customers, one can only wonder what questions are asked of prospective employees during the interview process. Needless to say, I won't be going to either of this man's shops in the future. The only reason I gave it even one star is because I have no complaints about the Service department. They were very pleasant, asked for my permission to before doing repairs, admitting that some were not absolutely necessary at this time. I much appreciated this. Obviously they do not share their employer's disregard for the needs and wants of the customers. read more

Out of nowhere my car begins to jerk and a loud banging noise is hear coming from the front of my car (I am on my way to work and no where near my "usual" repair shop) so I pull into the closest auto repair shop I can find, they tell me they can't help me till the end of the week but not to drive my car... I pull into another repair shop and hear sorry our bays are full. I am ready to loose my mind because I know nothing about cars and need to be at work now. I pull into DT Automotive, right near the shop I just left... I am ready to have a breakdown at this point, thinking my car is going to need thousands in work. I was greeted by the nicest lady possible when I come in so of course I break down crying, I couldn't hold it in any longer, she gives me a moment and during that time Paul comes from the back and takes my keys, he takes my car in right away... after about 15 minutes I have composed myself, Paul came over to let me know that it is a simple fix and not to worry, he said he can take care of it. Not only did he take car of it but he made it so I could drive my car to work that morning and come back the following day AFTER work when THEY were CLOSED to do the work since I have to work when they are open. I am amazed at the honesty and compassion this repair shop has... it was just 6 bolts that were missing, (BUT it was very insafe for me to be driving it) it was a very cheap fix, he could have made up any problem and I would have believed it since I know nothing about cars. I highly recommend this place as they have now made a repeat customer out of me!!! read more

I've never had the urge to write a review for anything, but the customer service and genuine care I received today by dt automotive inspired me to return their kindness and spread the word on how great they are. Being a female I've had autobody shops try and take advantage of me to get work done that didn't need to be done, overprice parts, etc, but the crew here simply helped me out and went above and beyond(without me even having to ask) and were completely genuine through my entire experience. If you're looking for people who will treat you with respect instead of only caring about how much money you give them, this should absolutely be your first choice! I have found DT Automotive to absolutely the BEST, most Courteous, most competent automotive repair shop I have ever been to in my 70 years of living.
