I recently had to purchase a new set of clincher wheels from this shop and also a bar mount for my phone. Wheels are great, mount is also very sturdy and am happy on both counts. When I picked it up the bike was super clean, they took it upon themselves to do that. About a month ago I went to my local shop in Brea and paid them to install new bar tape and clean the bike. When I picked it up it had been cleaned yet there were still smudged areas on the frame. Even though I will have to drive further I will be going to FBC from now one, their work ethic is fantastic! read more

The shop looks nice, but I left feeling a bit misled. Brought in a brand new bike just to adjust the brake cable... Nothing was broken. The mechanic said the parts were too cheap and quoted $60 per brake cable to replace them. It didn't feel right, so I went home and tightened one screw myself. Now the brakes work perfectly. Maybe they just didn't want to deal with lower-end bikes, but it came across like they were trying to sell something unnecessary. read more

We typically use yelp to browse for food recommendations but the service we received here was so phenomenal that we just had to leave a review. Below is from my girl's perspective but I whole heartedly share the same sentiments. This is the bike shop to go to! We stopped by to get me fitted & Jeff (I believe it was Jeff. He has a "pedal" tattoo) was so experienced, patient, and helpful. All he did was look at me and he somehow adjusted it perfectly on (if I'm remembering correctly) the first try. He adjusted other attachments on the bike as well to make my riding experience more comfortable. He answered my questions, freely gave helpful advice, and never once made me feel intimidated, stupid, or a bother. I believe the owner of the shop was the one who helped us load the bike into my car later too when he saw we were struggling. He was also generous and kind to us! We arrived 30 min before closing, and I was feeling so bad that it was the earliest we could make it due to work, but we were treated with kindness through and through. If you're new to the cycling world and feel overwhelmed, or you're experienced and have been burned by other shops, give them a try! And for my fellow ladies out there: these men are absolute gentlemen! They aren't dismissive, judgmental, or patronizing. This place is a safe space for us! read more

I had an amazing experience yesterday with Ricardo at Fullerton Bicycles. I called ahead to ask if I needed to make an appointment for servicing my bike and they said to come in anytime during business hours. I arrived at about 5 pm expecting to drop off my bike and pickup another time as the sign out front showed 7 day wait time for service. I had a very poor previous experience at another local bike shop and was mad at myself for not going to Fullerton because they have always been honest, friendly and fair. The previous bike shop told me I needed new tires ($200) after replacing a tube. When I asked Ricardo he told me no, the tires were fine and he'd work on my other issues right away. He put it up on the rack and within 15 minutes, told me he thinks he resolved it (my chain was slipping in the first 3 gears when I'd ride and this issue only appeared after the previous bike shot repaired my tire). I took the bike out for a spin in the parking lot and confirmed he resolved the problem! I expected to pay the price of a tune up for his work and asked how much I owned for the work that was done, he responded and said you don't owe me anything, I'm glad I was able to fix your bike and get you in quickly. This is not the first time I've had a spectacular experience with Fullerton but they have now won a customer for life. The entire team there was attentive and I was asked by 5 different employees if I'd been helped. I will never go to another bike shop again. Honestly, kindness and great selection. My fiancé has been wanting a new bike for over a year, but with us working on saving for our wedding, he kept putting it off. While he was away on a business trip, I decided to look for a local bike shop and came across Fullerton Bicyles. I went in with a tight budget and a few bikes in mind, but honestly, I was nervous as I'm not a cyclist and not sure if I'd be taken seriously. From the moment I walked in, Jeff, the general manager, made me feel welcome. He asked thoughtful questions about my fiancé and patiently explained each bike I was considering. He knew exactly what would suit him best in terms of size and type. One of the bikes I loved was way over my original budget, and I felt overwhelmed. But Jeff told me not to rush as most people spend days or even weeks deciding. That alone made me feel so much more comfortable. Although I initially wanted it to be a surprise, I brought my fiancé back with me. When we arrived, the bike was there, tagged with my name..a blue Cervelo Soloist. After taking it home, we had some second thoughts about sizing, especially since Cervelo's website said Danny might fit a 54 instead of the 51 we bought. I was so nervous as I wasn't sure about their exchange policy, but texted Jeff the next morning. Within minutes, he responded with total understanding and told us to come by anytime to test the 54. We went that Saturday and even though Jeff wasn't there, his team was so kind and accommodating. We ended up talking to other Fullerton Bikes customers, and they jumped in to help too! Their Instagram bio says they have the best customers and employees, and now I understand why. Turns out, the original size was spot-on. Danny is so happy, and we've been raving to everyone about the experience. Jeff even followed up with a phone call today just to make sure everything was okay. I feel like I've been blessed with good cyclery shops here in Fullerton to be honest. Keep in mind, bike shops ARE busy.. but somehow I have always been lucky enough to get help, get quick diagnostics, & find enough help to get me back out...so much appreciation to the crew at FB. Everyone has been super helpful--Ethan, Matt(?), and all the guys up front. Also...they have a legit store to shop around in. Most if not all their bikes are Giant (Seems like every bike shop has their specialty bikes). But they carry extensive amounts of tire options, bike maintenance accessories, tape, and even sunglasses. Which reminds me to go back just to look at their sunglasses. Haha. I came here right before closing with my bike that I thought had gotten a part stolen. I took my bike to this shop to see if they could repair it, and upon a simple check, they let me know that no parts were stolen. Just in case, they took my bike to the back and double-checked that all parts were there and in working condition. For no extra charge, they also pumped my tires up, did a service check on it, and helped me load it into my car. I appreciate the extra length this bike shop went to to help me with my bike! Not only did they set my mind at ease after I thought parts were stolen, but they helped me out for free and with a positive attitude. I came in here a few years ago for a new basket for my beach cruiser. I hadn't ridden it in a few years and they also fixed it up for me and attached the basket. Today I came back because I finally got an indoor cycle at home. The cleats I currently have weren't compatible so not only did they help me get the right cleats they also helped me get them in the shoes and making sure they fit properly.
