I really wanted to have a positive experience at Fullerton Electric Bicycles, but unfortunately there were numerous red flags from start to finish. When I called ahead, I was asked to put down a $100 deposit to hold the bike and was assured it was fully assembled and ready to go. I was also told there would be a $40 delivery fee but that it would be waived since I live less than five miles away and was purchasing a $2,000 bike. When I arrived at the shop, nobody greeted me or offered help. Usually when you walk into a store like this, staff are eager to check in--but here I felt invisible until I had to ask. They handed me an accessory box that turned out to be for the wrong bike model (Aventon Pace instead of my Level 3). When I called, they told me to come back to switch it out, but when I did, I was met with a dismissive "really? you came to switch out?" As if I was inconveniencing them for expecting the right parts. The replacement box they gave me was incomplete--just a battery, no manual, no tools. At that point I didn't even bother following up again. The delivery experience wasn't any better. The same staff member who told me the $40 fee would be waived casually charged me $30 instead. It felt like he pocketed the money after contradicting what I had been promised on the phone. Overall, this was a poor and frustrating experience. Between the lack of customer service, miscommunication, wrong parts, and hidden fees, I left with very little trust in how this shop operates. For the amount of money spent, I expected professionalism, accuracy, and at least a sense that they valued my business. Sadly, I can't recommend them. read more

They suck now. I wish Mike would spend some time here and clean house. Floor is very cramped with overpriced e-bikes from amazon. Backlog for repairs is about two weeks or more. The few times I dropped in, always a sign that says "repairs closed" and they look burned out. They also charged me for two things that ended up breaking a few weeks later. I can't give too many specifics but there's one guy who used several attempts to convince that it was my problem and they did their job correctly. When it was proven otherwise, he went silent and walked off. Here's an idea: Hire two more people (my resume is good), Get rid of some of the chinese inventory on the floor and expand the repair department from the 20x20' backroom/storage/repair dept to the main. read more

Went to buy an E-bike for my son to ride to school. Fullerton E-bike was great very knowledgeable and answered all questions. They have a good selection of brands and models to fit your needs. They have a service area within the shop to service or fix your bike if needed. There was a sale that I didn't know the brand was having, the shop told me about the sale and gave me the sale price. Don't fall into the trap (like I did) of buying a cheap bike on Amazon. They won't last and you can't get parts to repair them. read more

I had been doing lots of research to help me decide on an E-bike. I finally settled on an Aventon Sinch. There were only 2 places that carried them. 1 in Long Beach and one in Fullerton. I called down to the guys at EBC. I was basically bribed with pizza and the hopes of making better friends in Fullerton than the LBC. JK! When I arrived, I was blown away at their selection. I never knew there were so many to choose from. I was able to test ride their last Sinch in stock. I knew these bikes were in high demand, so I decided to bite the bullet and purchase right away. I've had my bike for a few weeks now and I couldn't be happier! The guys at the shop were super friendly and helpful. Lastly, they offer a free 200 mile tune-up. Financing was quick and easy. Approved in just minutes on a Saturday afternoon. Even if it is a 25 mile drive to their shop (and there is a local E-bike shop in Long Beach) I will surely bring my bike to them for any service/repairs/etc. Whether or not there is Pizza! In 2022 I purchased 2 E-bikes from Fullerton Electric Bicycles. Spent around 4K. Employees are nice. It seems the new ownership strategy is to sell you a new Bike instead of repair the old ones. My repairs were made a bit more difficult than it should have been in my opinion. My bikes may be 2 years old, However they only have around 200 miles on them. So, buying a new bike is not an option at this time. I left feeling a bit discouraged on my experience. Thankfully, a new E-Bike store opened in my neighborhood and I will be using them from now on. read more

SAM!!!! Wow, around 10 years ago while riding, my right ankle made some crazy snapping sounds while pedaling and my bicycling days were over! I visited your store on a rainy day a few weeks ago and picked up a Yamaha TORC from you because I found you online as a Yamaha Bicycle Dealer. Went here for the first time and bought a pair of e-bikes here about a month ago. They had what we wanted, so we got them. The store made a very easy sale with us becase they didn't do any welcoming greeting really, friendliness, nor selling, despite that we were the only customers in the store the whole time. It was just a matter of they had what we liked, the price was what we were willing to pay, so we got them. Last bicycle I got was in 2nd grade. So I did little research before going in. But I was still clueless. I spoke to a guy who was super helpful and friendly. He answered all my questions and answered my doubts. After letting me try it out I was sold. I paid a down payment and waited for my bike. They said it could take up to 2-3 weeks.( which is understandable right now with everything going on). I was able to get my bike 3 days later. I popped a tire tube on the 2nd day, and I wanted some seat, handle adjustment. They were able to fix it for free since I got my bike there. Awesome people, awesome place. My husband took my ViVi electric bike to Fullerton Electric to have it checked out. We just got it a couple of weeks ago and had bought it online. It came mostly intact but my husband had to put some of it together and he really doesn't know a lot about bikes so we wanted to just make sure everything was the way it should be. What a great experience in shopping with these guys. I spent weeks dropping in to various bike shops to gain knowledge on ebikes before making a choice on what would be the ideal purchase. Dave and Fabian were both incredibly patient and willing to share opinions, knowledge and explain different features and benefits about such a wide variety of bikes to me. If you don't buy your ebike from them they really don't want you in their shop. That was my impression. If you did not purchase your Ebike from them they won't service your bike. So I found three or four other bike shops that will service anybody's bike which is the way it should be read more

Stopped by with my expensive Bulls emtb with an electrical problem. Within 15 minutes shop owner diagnosed the problem and fixed it -- braced myself for a high digit diagnosis/repair fee ($50-$80) -- NOPE! He said "you're all set, go have fun and keep riding -- no cost for the fix". Wow! This is WORLD CLASS customer care and service. He could have easily justified a charge to fix the electrical issue, but he didn't. Beautiful selection of bikes, great shop with top shelf customer care. Highly recommended. Note: I didn't buy my bike at this shop (bought it in SD) and he never asked if I did. He just did the best thing to give 1st class service! Really great in this day and age of car and bike dealers of all sorts gouging folks -- not at this shop in my experience! Buy your E-bike from these folks! read more

I purchased a new electric Haibike Mountain from Electric Bicycle Center about 2 1/2 months ago. Once of the best investments I have ever made. i would say that it has been life changing. At 57 my belly was not what it used to be and it never was much, but after intense riding over the summer nearly every day, I feel better, drink and eat less and get outside all the time. It's been a blast and I am fitting into some of my smaller clothes finally again. My Haibike is great, though it's required some up keep and tune ups here and there but Sam has been great. Even when he's very busy he takes the time to assist all customers and answer any and all questions. Never a complaint out of him. Great selection of bikes of all types, styles and sizes, at very competitive price points. If you are considering getting a new electric bike, do it. ignore the cost. My husband and I found this place online. Coming from Pasadena, we were skeptical just because it was far, and we werent sure it would be worth it. It most definitely was. We went on a Saturday afternoon, and there were several other customers, but that gave us time to look around, see what size, style, color, etc. that I wanted. We didn't wait long. We told the owner our budget, and rather than pushing or telling us we could "get x,y,z for just a bit more," he pointed us to some really great bikes in our range. I tried 2 or 3, asked a whole bunch of questions and finally selected an Aventon Pace 500 step thru in a gorgeous seafoam green color. The owner did ask about the extended, larger battery and we said no. I was back Monday to swap and upgrade for the longer range battery. Hint: always get the longer range battery, you'll want it once you start riding an ebike! Since I got the bike 2 months ago, I've taken it back twice. Once for loose spokes (rode 100 miles in a few days with some rough road and lots of braking on that road) and once for flat tires (ran over some seriously bad prickly grass, intense thorns). Both times, the bike was a priority, and they gave me options to fix issues, talked me through solutions, and didn't upcharge crap I didn't need. Overall, I highly recommend this shop, and I plan on taking friends that are on the search for an ebike here! read more

They had no issue with servicing my bike, which I bought online from another bike manufacturer (for a brand they do not carry). Dave and Eric were very helpful. While mine was assembled by me already (some damage occurred when the bike turned on during assembly). They also have a boxed bike package price that will take a boxed bike purchased on the internet and assemble it for you ($100). read more

I have the Sondors fold electric bike and recently started having battery problems. I couldn't figure it out so took it back to the shop I purchased it from. The bike mechanic explained to me the problem but I wanted a Second opinion because It didn't make sense to me. I wasn't sure if they were being truthful so I called fullerton bike shop for a second opinion. I'm happy I did because Fabian answered all my questions. He took his time explaining everything to me very thoroughly. They have a future in-store customer for sure! The contacts on my battery's were dirty . The guy at izip tried to sell me new battery's :( I did not have the money for em . I called myrons extreme store Sam the owner says bring it by and he had some used batteries for sale. This is the coolest part in 4 seconds he looks my bike . As many of you know, Sam and his wife sold and moved to Thailand? I had ordered a BH Bike some time ago and it came in after Sam left. I met Dave Teague the new owner. Sam sold the business to the right man. Dave was equally very knowledgeable and helpful. Went above and beyond to insure my bike was not just put together, but all pressures (including the shocks) and adjustments were perfect before he let it out the door. Can i give them 10 stars? Sam, Kenny, Matt, Kannika and Myron are by far the best thing to happen to the maturing eBike market in SoCal. If you are thinking about buying an eBike and live within 100 miles, stop thinking and head to EBC. I went in at 5PM on a Monday to augment my web-research only, and (much to my surprise), I left at 7PM (an hour after store closing) with a brand new HaiBike Nduro at a great price. I experienced ZERO pressure to buy a bike (in-fact, Sam offered to order in a bike just so i could do a ride & compare similar nduro vs allmtn, to help me make sure the inverted shock on allmtn was to my liking). I won't bother to rehash Sam's encyclopedic knowledge about the (waaaay too) many different eMTN bikes in the shop, in the market and on his "I've ridden that bike" list. Read other reviews to hear of Sam's awesome-ness. Instead, I want to give major props to everyone else at the shop... Kannika is just sooo nice, and she made me at ease 2 mins after entering the shop - she was certain they could work within my budget and make an awesome bike happen - if i wanted to buy one - zero pressure. Kenny was also great, super smart and gave me no BS advice on Yamaha vs. Bosch, Hai vs. Bulls, etc. Also good sense of humor (and killer stash). Matt took me out for a few rides (no dirt, too dark), so i could swap out bikes and he gave me a ton of great advice about what to consider, pointing out pros and cons (Yamaha vs Bosch, different geometries) and even offered to take me on a longer off-roader the next day so i could really get the most of a test ride. After almost 2 hours of private eBike shopping/education/education i decided i was ready to buy, and since i live an hour away, Sam even set the bike up so i could take it home with me (great customer service!). Myron (K&S's kitty) set a laid-back vibe as i swiped a few credit cards to make it official. In summary - this was a GREAT experience - I've gotten much less help (and satisfaction) shopping for a (much more expensive) new car. And after my first ride last night @ El Morrow, i can honestly say I love my new HaiBike as much as (maybe more than) my convertible. WooooHooooo! Thanks EBC (aka Myron's).
