Since they couldn't meet my needs, I asked for my art work back, which they told me they needed to call someone, a designer, who would then send it back to me. Brought a custom jacket here for a GREEK LETTER embroidering. This location did seem to take a BIT LONGER than the EMBROID ME located in IRVINE. In addition, the customer service here was horrible! The person that was helping me didnt seem knowledgeable at all! Compared to the IRVINE EMBROID ME...and what I mean by horrible customer service...when I asked the guy (costa mesa branch) what color or design would look best with this custom jacket....HE WOULD SAY "UM I DONT KNOW" ARE YOU INSANE??? WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT?? so for that sole reason...and him not being able to help me pick a color, and him not being able to help me pick a font, and him not being able to help me pick a contrasting color....this place was horrible! Compared to the IRVINE LOCATION...when I have done my GREEK LETTER embroidering at that location: -they were able to assist me with the font -they were able to assist me with the different colors -they were able to assist me with matching the colors -they were able to assist me with creating a contrasting border -they were able to give me there ideas on what would match best with my custom jacket -they were able to finish the job in less than 5 days But again...I guess I expected the same type and amount of service at this location as compared to the irvine location UNTIL THEN!! ^-^ read more

This will be the last time I use them. They use to be prompt and on top of getting things done when they told me a time frame... well that has changed. Not sure why, all they can say is the machine was being set up??? What does that even mean?? Too bad cause I've been using them for years... until now. The order was for 3 handkerchiefs, didn't think it was a huge order or something that they couldn't handle.... guess I was wrong. What's terrible is that I have to break it to the KIDS whom they were being designed for, not to mention that it was a new design or even something that is intricate, merely letters on a handkerchief. So slow! I dropped off a junior guard backpack for embroidery and was told it would take 5-7 business days. I've brought in JG backpack before during the peak of the JG embroidery frenzy and it took 2 days. I've gone to other places that charge the same and turn it around the next day. Also, the woman that helped me at the counter wasn't very nice. She wasn't rude, she just wasn't friendly. We used Embroidme for silkscreen and embroidery. They emphasized that though they may be more expensive than other competitors, their quality of customer service and work is what you're paying extra for; that is laughable. They were extremely slow, and the quality of work was inconsistent. Some of our logos were not placed correctly. One of our orders they printed without allowing us to approve the placement of the logo. The manager/owner is rude and defensive. It was a nightmare working with Embroidme and we will not be returning. read more

Pro: Fouled mouth graphic artist on-site that WILL speak her mind. Fast turn around, tons of samples to test out, and all around fun/crazy staff. Con: A bit crowded in the shop due to all the samples. Crazy parking with the Newport moms out of their mansions buying everything up. While having Embroidme clients up and down San Diego and Costa Mesa, I will only use Lois's (Owner) shop for my business stationary and outfits. All because of the care she puts into showing me what's out there... also Jackie (the mouth) letting me know when a logo is truly ugly and she can fix it up in a second. Needed to make a custom t-shirt fairly last minute and these guys came through. All I had to do was bring in the t-shirt and the image on a USB drive and they took care of everything else. They did a great job color matching and sizing the image properly on the shirt. I loved the laid back atmosphere and kindness of this shop (they had a cute dog roaming around). I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses, but EmbroideMe in Costa Mesa is overpriced. Watch out! To start with they have a $55 setup fee to convert your logo (it's already digitial!), then each order has another $15 setup charge. The first time I went there I was guaranteed the first setup charge was the ONLY setup charge. After checking other local providers, these guys are really, really PRICEY. Reasonable prices, quality work and awesome customer service! I came in to get names embroidered on three Pottery Barn baby towels that I bought as gifts. My husband had accidentally texted me the incorrect name, he claims his phone autocorrected. Anyhow, we did not realize his mistake until I brought home the beautifully embroidered towels. I took the the misspelled towel back to EmbroidMe to have the towel re-embroidered. They fixed it and it was ready for pick up later that day! I prefer to take my items to EmbroiderMe instead of having a company like Potter Barn embroider it. There are more thread, size and font choices. They are great at helping you visualize what the end product will look like. Unlike Pottery Barn, there is also no limit to the the number of letters they can embroider on an item. read more

I'm very selective with regard to good reviews or bad reviews, but when I write a review I am truthful and accurate. This was one of the worst retail experiences I have ever had. I came to the store and originally spoke with Debbie who was extremely courteous and helpful. Unfortunately she left the store a few weeks after I made contact. I was then left with Paul, the store manager. Actually Paul is the son of Bob who actually purchased the franchise about 8 years ago. The other party I was involved with was Meghan (spelling correct). Meghan is Paul's sister. Paul generally runs the store, Meghan helps out, and the dad (Bob) left the store to Paul as he is trying to separate himself from the business. I started working on my order back in December 2012 and finally fired Embroid Me three days ago on February 19, 2013. On that day I had been in the store 16 times to get my order done. The final straw was when I was supposed to pick up one of three different things they were doing for me. Actually this product was ordered from a third party and was supposed to be done on February 2. Paul kept stalling saying it would be in later today, then tomorrow, then next week, etc. Finally I came in and told Paul I need the product and he said it was in but in his car. He went to look for it and said he thought it was there. Then he looked all over the store but couldn't find it. I had my doubts at this point. On about February 16th I asked his sister to contact the company to confirm the order was even placed and she confirmed it never was placed!!! Bob, Paul's dad finally had to intervene and tried to get me to have the work done at a commercial embroidery store. However he wanted to charge me more because the job was underbid. Forget that I was 3 weeks past the deadline and 8 weeks into this project. When I told him I was not interested in paying more money he told me I was an "asshole." There was another customer in the store and Meghan, his daughter, tried to calm him down. Needless to say I was done with these people though I have to say Meghan helped me with computer files so I could have the work done elsewhere. All I can say is take your projects there at your own risk. I suspect they will be out of business in less than 12 months. read more
