It was a Godsend that I found this wonderful man! I bought a pair of suede, fringed boots on line. Loved them, but my instep is very high and I couldn't pull up. Well, this wonderful man opened the back of the boots and punched holes, added rawhide laces and I have the coolest boots ever. They are over the knee and what he did added to the uniqueness of the style. I've since bought 3 pairs of shoes to him- all fixed beautifully! AMAZING WORK. I had suede Loro pianas and some suede adidas shoes that both got dirty. I had gone to 4 different shoe places before this and they all said they wouldn't work on them because they might damage the shoes. I brought them here, took off all the dirt, and didn't damage the shoes and keep in mind the dirt had already settled in for a few months so it wasn't easy. Amazing service, very friendly, and quick. I just picked up my pair of boots today and I'm very stoked. I bought a pair of vegan motorcycle boots from Straight To Hell that looked great but the zipper on the back was garbage. Not only was Valdy confident he could fix them, he didn't even make fun of me for my vegan boots. Something he was well within his rights to do. He fixed the zippers for only $26 and they work awesome now! I've read some complaints about this being a cash only business and honestly it makes me like it more. Wow, the shoe repairer here is so friendly and helpful! Knowledgeable as well! I got two pairs of boots fixed here. One pair was just a little wobbly underfoot, they suggested what to do to help with that and gave the shoes new soles and grippier soles as well! I also asked them to clean these boots, which they did and they look so much better now! They were also kind enough to help me find new laces for these boots as well! The second pair of boots had come apart at the heel, they reattached the soles completely, and they function perfectly again! I highly recommend this small neighborhood business! I've been here twice now for repairs to backpacks. Valdy is a doll! And his prices are ridiculous. I was quoted from $75 to $100 by other shoe repair people to replace a broken zipper. He charged me $17. I went back again last week for a broken strap to another backpack. $6! He is awesome. I don't know how he stays open with such low prices but Valdy is a good man. People complain about the parking but I've never had trouble. Just be mindful of his hours. He closes in the afternoon then comes back again. I will start with disputing the highly inaccurate and misleading review posted by Angela A. She complete disregards the FACT that the owner of this great repair shop was clearly willing to repair without question any item that he had previously worked on for her. She then derides him for honestly pointing out that the damage was not due to his faulty repair. It was in fact not even the shoe upon which he had previously worked. Clearly this mistake on her part was not received well when she realized that she would have to pay for the repair. She simply was unhappy because she did not want to pay for the repair, even after being informed that it was in no way his fault. The owner of this shop is a very sweet and friendly man, and has always been willing to rectify to my complete satisfaction any issue I have had with any repair done in his shop. HIS PRICES ARE EXCEPTIONAL AND HIS WORK IS IMPECCABLE. This is my shoe repair guy, i use him to repair my hand bags that need bag handle reinforcement. I give him my ideas and he makes it work. He goes to lunch from 2:30 - 3:30pm I always think he's closed but he comes back. His prices are the best in town, and he's so nice. Vardy gave me a good price for putting rubber protectors on the soles of both shoes. He was really friendly and helpful. When I came to pick them up they were ready and looked VERY good. I brought my shoe here because the sole was falling off and I wanted to wear this show for Church with the out fit that matched really nice with it. The other matching pair was fine. I received the show the shoe days before Church. When I put the shoe on and started walking in it the sole fell apart and felt a bit embarrassed trying to hide the sandles I was wearing so no one noticed. I was at Church through out the day, uncomfotable in my shoe walking while the sole was flopping. I called the guy that fixed my shoe here. He told me he would fix it for free because he. I brought the shoe in and started saying that the she I brought in wasn't the shoe he fixed. He assumed it was the matching right shoe he fixed which wasn't true. He came across as if I was trying to trick him and mani plate him by fixing a shoe another shoe for free. Which I felt affended by, because I'm not that kind of person. He tried to argue with me that he's not going to fix my shoe for free like he said. Instead of arguing with him, I walked out the store. From my experience, I would give no stars. For this place being a sho repair store, it's unprofessional and has lack of knowledge in fixing and securing a shoe not to fall off within min of wearing it. I could've just bought some shoe glue myself and placed it between the sole. But because I wanted quality work and my shoe to last long I took upon myself to go a professional, which I expected from this business. I wouldn't recommend this place. Unless you take pics of the shoes your taking there just in case you go through my experience. But why having to worry about doing all that.
