Cozy spot that we found one night for a late dinner after a show. We ordered an Ella bourbon cocktail and a glass of smoke tree chard. The cocktail was very interesting- sage was a nice touch. My chard was good as well. Started with bread and oil and the fried mozzarella. The cheese and marinara were awesome. I ordered a grilled octopus dish that had tomato and bacon and was tender and expertly cooked. I went back to the website to find the name of the item as it's been a few days since we were there- and it's not on the website. I do highly recommend it though if it's a special. We ordered a carbonara to go and neglected to take pics of it. But I will say it was actually a proper carbonara- eggs peas and bacon. So so good. Really love this place! Such a great addition to the neighborhood. All the food I've had is delicious and the staff are so friendly. I was recommended this place with a few friends I was with. I ordered the vodka personal pizza, and was pretty disappointed. The main issue was honestly the crust. It was DRY. Like, choking-ly dry. The burnt bits did not taste good at all, and I've had coal fired/wood fired pizza before. The burnt bits are supposed to compliment the taste, not overwhelm. The cheese on top must have been cheap, as well. It just wasn't good. The pizza had scallions which excited me when I first received the pizza, but I could barely taste them. Or the mint. Just the sauce and the overly dry crust. I was finally able to stomach it when I asked for extra vodka sauce, which was good. I drenched my last few slices with it so that I could finish it. I placed my order at 8:30pm and paid for priority delivery, over an 1 hour and a half later still no food has come, the delivery person has been waiting 30 mins and all the restaurant would say to him is that it is coming. I called the driver and he told me they were not busy, I called the restaurant and they would not answer. The delivery person gave his phone to a rude worker who said that they were backed up but my order is really (what a coincidence) I am talking to her and she was like I am done talking I am giving the phone back to the driver. I was extremely upset because if the restaurant was so backed up why would they continue to take online orders? Let alone have me wait so long. A friend of mine recommended Fumo for their $10 pasta lunch special to me recently. Well, I had a pasta craving that needed to be curbed much later than that. After spending the day helping my boyfriend move into his new apartment, we decided there was no better first night meal than pizza, pasta and wine. The delivery came before the estimated time which is always a plus. We ordered the roni pizza, a kale ceaser salad and a side of penne ala vodka. LET ME TELL YOU NOW, everything was delicious. We left no crumb unattended to. The roni was actually amazing. We were skeptical that it wouldn't be spicy despite the hot peppers, but it was the perfect level of spice. The penne ala vodka was creamy and well seasoned, I didn't have to add a thing. My only criticism would be I wish there were more croutons in the salad but I'm also just kinda extra about croutons. When I opened the container, the artichokes looked burned and when I took a bite the artichoke was too fibrous to eat. Although these were baby artichokes, they were tough, not easy to chew. Perhaps, if these baby artichokes were not fried so hard they might taste better, try grilling or sauteing them with some garlic. The Chipotle Mayo was the best part of the snack. The HH menu is small but pretty good. I got the fumo spritz based on the reviews and it was okay. We got the rice balls and the fried mozzarella as appetizers and both were delicious! Each dish was $6 and they're usually $12 outside of HH. The baked ziti was really good as well, lots of cheese and very flavorful. Service was outstanding and our server was very attentive. Stopped in here to have brunch while visiting New York. The service was prompt and the food was great. We had the salmon cream cheese pizza and the chicken avocado ranch pizza. Perfect amount of food for the three of us. We also had the all you can drink brunch mimosas. Not too small for the usual New York food places. Was comfortable and cozy. Our waitress was quick to fill our glasses and always close by in case we needed anything. This two star review is reflective of the service i received tonight. I made an order for chicken Parmesan on the restaurant website. In my requests i asked for the meal to be extra saucey. When i received my meal it ended up being extra SPICEY. When I called about this the person on the other line said "....and what do you want me to do about?". After a few seconds of silence, he then offered to send another meal. However with that type of attitude, I didn't really trust that my food would come to me unharmed. Their fall from grace came when I found stuff in my food not once but twice. The first time, okay. Things happen. They recovered with a free pizza. The second time they tried to give me another free pizza. I sent them pictures and everything and asked them to explain. The first time I found a staple in my pizza. I figured hell maybe they have staples on their flour. Could happen to anyone. Francesco Capolongo was the correspondent on the first issue. It happened around March 2019. And Jonathan Membreno was the correspondent on the second issue. This incident occured in September of 2019. I am very disappointed. I expressed that a free pizza wouldn't remedy this and that I was uncomfortable. Jonathan never got back with me. And I have never ordered from them again. As much as I loved their food, I get queasy every time I think about it. They were my favorite delivery. Eat with caution is all I am saying. I have attached the email correspondence as well as the pictures I provided. They just wanted me to be happy with a free pizza. Why would I want a free pizza after two separate incidents with inedible objects in my pizza. I just can't take it. I'd be thinking about it the whole time as I chewed.
