I spent about $21 on the salmon with kale, got an extra side of asparagus that was $6 and a glass of prosecco which was $10. Service: I went to this restaurant last night for dinner with my boyfriend and was disappointed with the service. I saw my server twice when he took the order and when he dropped off the check. Never checked if the order came out correctly, if we needed anything, or if I wanted another drink. I would have probably ordered two more drinks and dessert but I never saw him I spent a while looking for him so I passed when I finally did see him and got the check. The hostess was really nice I was really indecisive about where I wanted to sit so I appreciated that. I thought maybe it was because we're a fairly young black couple. I worked in the hospitality industry for years so I know this makes a difference. I always over-tip for good service too bad his service was NONEXISTENT! He's lucky I left him anything at all. I lived in Harlem almost all my life so I love the new restaurants coming to the neighborhood. Atmosphere: The decor is rustic modern it is a really nice place to come for just drinks. My absolute favorite place for meatballs, salads and for penne a la vodka. I've realized meatballs are such an easy concept but so hard for many places to get right, this place has THAT consistency and deliciousness that make me order them every single time. Usually served as an appetizer, the portion is large enough to make it as a meal, the marinara sauce covers the meatballs but not enough to take the taste from the actual meat. BUT! Even though, I LOVE the meatballs, my favorite thing from here is the Salad, it's what had me walk six flights of stairs from my walk up apartment around the corner to eat, the Arugula Salad *add shrimp* is my absolute favorite salad I've had in my entire life. The shrimp is so flavorful, the lemon vinaigrette compliments the whole plate so well, it's heaven in your mouth. I now live in Los Angeles, basically the green capital of the world, and I am so excited to be back to Fumo just because it's that good. Loveee Fumo. Been coming here for the past few years and I have been for brunch, lunch, dinner and of course take out due to corona. The place has a great ambient setting with a warm, welcoming staff. I usually go for the artichokes as an app but from pizza to pasta to salads I really haven't tried anything I don't like. Went during lunch time, where the pasta dishes are all 10 dollars, making them even tastier! Succelent, soft and tender meatballs with a great textured pasta really makes it worth 10 dollars, especially since it beats the regular Chinese food or sandwich spots around the area. The decor is inspirational. Modern but retro, really giving the place a vube of cleanliness and openness. Would have been 5 stars, but there was no spicy calamari available, leaving me a little disappointed! I love Fumo! I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. I came in here on a whim last week with my coworkers and everything about the experience exceeded my expectations. First off, the service is outstanding. I am always greeted and seated quickly, I've literally never had to wait. They understand I'm on my lunch break and I appreciate that so much! They also always come around to ask if the food is OK and if you need anything. This service has been consistent with everyone there, thank you for the work that you do! Next up, the food and drinks. Their wine selection is fabulous. I'm a Riesling or prosecco girl myself, but they have reds other whites and mixed drinks too. All good and reasonably priced. Before your meal, they always serve delicious bread with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette, a great way to start the meal. I usually get the pasta primavera with grilled chicken. It's consistently, always, always, delicious. Hot and tasty. Not like places that serve dried out chicken and just throw a ton of oil and garlic - no, this tastes delicious, trust. My coworkers have had their pizza and penne a la vodka, all loved it. I also found out they serve Nutella pizza here which may or may not be to the dismay of my waistline. I have ordered delivery twice and ate there twice (last being tonight). Both deliveries took over an hour and were completely wrong. Eating in, service has always been extremely slow. Pastas have tasted terrible on two occasions, though the steak is delicious despite being tiny. Ambiance is very nice however. Cool little gem! The restaurant is airy and wide with high ceilings; it has a contemporary feel and it's a nice place to bring anyone minus the pressure of removing a casual component altogether. I brought my dad and little sister for lunch. They live a few blocks from this restaurant, and ambiguously enjoyed the living proof of their rapidly-gentrifying neighborhood. The wine list was fantastic. The spicy calamari appetizer was a wonderful surprise in that it was not fried, but served in a chunky and spicy tomato concoction topped with an abundance of fresh basil. The kale caesar salad with steak was phenomenal, the steak tender and juicy. It was a little heavy on the dressing for my own taste, so I'll make sure to ask for it on the side when I return. The service was mellow and sincere. Roberto was friendly in a way that felt natural, and he was serious about and sentimentally attached to what he was serving. Fumo is a win! I am so glad I stopped in today. This was my first time eating here but I saw the pictures and reviews and couldn't wait to try it. It's so close to home and I'm very happy to have it here. The service was fast and friendly. We tried the steak and fries, chicken Parmesan, spaghetti and meatballs and they were to die for! The steak was so soft it practically melted in your mouth. It is so awesome to find a place that serves good food, looks beautiful, treats you well, AND is not so expensive. I have tried their arancini, pizza, and burger (my medium rare was a real medium rare!), and everything was really good. I love having Fumo restaurant around the corner where I live. It's a great place to take friends and family that come visit. During lock down I started ordering pick up to make sure and still support our neighborhood restaurants. But after the last visit I will no longer support or advertise for this restaurant. The order took over 20 minutes from when it said to pick it up and it was also wrong. Which I understand can happen. The problem is the greeter is rude and not apologetic when a mistake is made. There is no reason for me to continue being a loyal customer and be treated rudely. read more

The place was empty when we arrived but tables filled up one by one and it was crowded as we left. $6 mimosa is well worth it. Next time I will do the unlimited but this was a quick stop. My cousin and I had the eggs Benedict which were delicious while my other cousin had the omelette and enjoyed as well. The portions were large and the flavors were splendid.
