We stopped by on our way back from our spring break vacation. I went in with low expectations, with…read moreall the mixed reviews we saw. We figured, let's just check it out. Glad we did! The major, and I mean major things was it was not crowded! Which was a huge relief for spring break and the crowds we dealt with every where else we went. The second MAJOR plus! The food was actually really good! You don't hear that much about amusement parks! If the family says they would eat it served anywhere else, then it's good! I recommend the family pack with food! Ok so value wise, you can look at it in two ways. The perks could outweigh the seeming thought of overpaying. It's waaaaaay cheaper than seaworld, or six flags. I can see it being worth more value if the water park section was opened. For right now, the fact the kiddos and even the misses could ride all day, and no long lines, make this a win for us. There are no token to buy, just all day wristbands. Yes the video games for the most part are dated. It's also not a huge park. There are four major rides outside. My family said the rollercoaster was a lot more violent and faster than they thought it would be. They were split whether they liked it or not. They also all loved the go kart attraction. We almost missed a small section in the inside towards the back. They had a bungee trampoline, a small rock wall, and a flight simulator! The family all enjoyed the flight simulator! It made for lots of laughs. They did have a playground and ball area for the smaller kids which we did not explore. Again, this is not a major theme park, but more like a light version with less crowds! We are coming back! The only negatives for us, the distance from where we live, the dated video game rides, and the water park being closed. It's not crazy cheap, but not crazy expensive. Hope that makes sense. It's almost like it was worth it to us because we were already driving back into town. That's pretty much it...

So I was excited to see what New Braunfels has to offer. I prepaid online for the tickets and reserved for 11:00 AM on a Saturday. When I arrived, the parking situation was terribly confusing. Once you drive in, there's a huge parking lot then there's a sign that says, "Camp Fimfo", I drove through the entrance of the sign. Towards my left, I saw a water park and drove to the back of the amusement park where I spotted everyone on golf carts. I turned around and drove to where the coaster was a tiny sign pointing in the direction of it. I got lost and via Google reviews a lot of people do. So to find the coaster, keep your eyes peeled for tiny signs that they "alpine coaster" is on the left side after the water park. There's plenty of parking in front of the coaster and a country store on site. I parked on some dusty rocks as the parking lot wasn't paved. There was hardly anyone else around for the 11:00 AM slot which was great! No long lines. My friend and I located the restroom on the side of the store. Restrooms were clean. Back at the coaster, we both signed waivers and the coaster staff helped us into separate seats with seatbelts. I had so much fun!! I couldn't stop laughing because the speed was fast around the curves and I didn't pull up the brakes. I pushed down the lever to make the cart go. I loved this Alpine coaster!! They have lockers where you can store your personal belongings. Bring your own lock. I would go around this coaster over and over again if I lived closer!!

Finally--a place where my kids and I can have a blast together!…read more There are a lot of classic carnival rides/attractions like bumper cars and hall of mirrors. At the same time, there were tons of new rides, too! We purchased the wrist bands--which is such a good deal! Truth be told, my kids went on all of the rides, that they could, at least two times! There was also a bungee, catapult jumper--which is a hoot! You have to try it! My little guy loved the games, along the midway--but I mean.... Who doesn't love those?! Can we talk about the food? If you have to eat one thing while you're there, do yourself a favor and order a bucket o'fries! This isn't your ordinary, run-of-the-mill fries. They must be coated in fairy dust and deep fried in unicorn tears--they're that good! If you want to splurge, get the bucket o'cheesey fries--trust me, you won't be disappointed. "What if I get two things?" You say? Well, that's a no brainer--get the foot long corn dog--yummy! We've been to a couple of this family's carnivals. Their staff seems great and friendly! Many of them will strike up a conversation with my husband or I while waiting for our kids, outside of rides. Can't wait to try to catch up with this carnival in October, when we go to a family reunion in Louisiana!! Wait.... Am I a carnival groupie?!

The burgers, fries (oh my..I dream about the bucket o' fries), corn dogs and homemade lemonade seriously compete with independent food trucks in Austin. This is a local Austin family run business. We have come to know the owners as we go so often, thus when you visit The Mighty Thomas Carnival you are supporting a local business. The rides are fun and small enough that my 4 year old still has multiple ride options. I know that people sometimes are discouraged by the cost of going to a carnival. When you look around and see the cost of operating such a business, the cost of admission is totally appropriate. My kids love it the most and I do have this amazing nostalgic feeling walking around the midway, especially at night. It is such an enjoyable experience! Highly recommend this carnival, especially for families!

Friendly for kids of all ages with different sections offering slides, a lazy river, wave pool, and experiences for all age groups. My daughters (ages 7 and 3) particularly loved the kids slide section and the wave pool. I did see quite a few dead bugs and leaves in the lazy river and wave pool which was a little off putting. They have lockers to store belongings, as well as clean bathrooms and changing rooms onsite. They also offer a variety of food choices which are pretty good & reasonably priced. Very few crowds if you arrive right at opening time. I was happy to see there were no lines at all for the slides. They open a half hour early for season pass members; general admission is 11am. Definitely worth checking out for a day of family fun in the hot TX summer!

All the rides are perfect for kids and overall one of the best water parks I've ever been to I would say the best if you go to Texas San Antonio, you have to go here older people in there are really nice if you do go Not only to drink couple help but getting pass passes for everything if you get the bands, you get a ride everything with a fast pass only once though sadly I hope the owner of the park notices this because this is really a great waterpark and the mascot is a dog so that's my favorite animal so really good should go recommended and when I went everyone, there seemed really happy and none of the rides cost money unless you're trying to get the fast band also go on the dragon ride or one of the only roller coaster water parks which has a roller coaster that is only involved with water and it's awesome but when we went, there wasn't the longest water ride. It wasn't available, but if it is to you, you should go on it.

One stared at me blankly and pointed to a QR code. When I told her my phone was locked in the car, and asked what to do because I obviously can't scan without a phone, and there's no reentry. She just stared at me and pointed to the QR code. I honestly thought she was on herion. ( My neice autistic neice was in full meltdown because it was her birthday, and she lost her glasses on one of the rides). When we first got there, we went to customer service, to get the autism passes. I'm neurodivergent, and my neice is 16 and autistic. Her mon, brother's friend came as well. The woman at customer service looked like a deer caught in inheadlights, when asked about the passes. Then refused to give them to us. Then changed her mind and gave us each 1. It was only good for 1 ride. We were supposed to go back to the customer service booth after each ride. The first ride, had no idea what to do with the passes. When we went back for the next ride, the refused us a second time, and only gave us 2. We told them to keep them. I've been to many amusement and watermarks, with my neices ( I have 2 both ironically are fully autistic. ) I live in Illinois and visiting. I would not recommend this for anyone with autistic children or family members. It's the least accommodating place I've ever been.
