I was excited to try a new burger place, but I'm overall disappointed with my visit to FunBurger. I visited on Sunday January 29th 2023 with my wife and some people from my softball team. When we walked in, it seemed like a pretty chill place. Lots of people were sitting at the bar, but the place itself wasn't overly full. There was plenty of staff. They had the football game on and there were plenty screens around the place to watch. There are plenty of food and drink options, so it took me awhile to decide what I wanted. I opted for their pretzel burger with beer cheese and my wife tried to order the signature burger. She was told they don't have the signature burger, so she ordered the original instead. Other than that, we got a side of garlic fries. Additionally, we also ordered two beer flights; one for me and one for her. I guess a guy related to the owners was at the bar. He was trying to recommend beers to us based on our preferences because there were so many beers to choose from. Our server was also nice enough to give us samples of certain beers before we assembled our flight orders. The food and beer came out to about 50 bucks, which I thought was pretty steep. I was willing to overlook the price if the food was great though. We found an open table, but I had to wipe it down because it was left unkept by previous costumers. We watched the game while we waited for our food. After some time, a waiter brings our food to our table and I immediately realize my burger didn't come on a pretzel bun. I inquired about the bun and the guy tells me, "Oh, actually we are out of pretzel burgers. Sorry." I tried not to get worked up about it. I simply replied, man I wish someone would have told me about that when I placed my ordered. I was left with a burger that had a ton of messy beer cheese on a regular bun. It was way too much beer cheese and that was all I could taste. It just didn't taste right and overall it was super hard to eat without a ton of napkins nearby. My wife's burger meanwhile didn't even have cheese nor did they ask her if she wanted cheese when she ordered it in the first place. Yes, it doesn't specify cheese on the menu for her burger, but most places at least ask. We get half-way our burgers and fries, but the beer hadn't arrived yet. We had to go up to the counter to see what the hold up was. Kind of makes sense to get the beer before the food, no? At the very least, it would have been nice to get it with the food. We finally get the beer and then we realize they put a beer in there that we didn't order, so I had to say something to get our missing beer. Meanwhile, the guy that is supposedly related to the owners, comes to our table and askes us how our experience is so far. I told him, honestly, it's not great. I told him about my burger mishap and that it took forever to get our beer. Instead of offering a solution, he tells me something along the lines of, thanks for the feedback, I'll tell the owners. So they can work on these issues for the future. I'm paraphrasing here though. So once again, I'm just disappointed with my experience and was hoping for more. I get that they are relatively newer and their service will probably improve with time, but my experience just wasn't good enough for me to give them another shot. Their burgers were just OK, but not good enough to justify the price and slow service. I mentioned earlier that there were tons of staff, so it doesn't make sense that the service was so slow. On a side note, the restaurant itself was extremely bright. I kind of wish they would tone down the lights a tad. The beer selection was great and the staff were friendly. There are definitely better burger places in the SCV. For my money though, I'd rather go to The Stand. They are close by, offer better burgers, better service, still have a beer selection, and I can still catch a game. read more

My family and I had been to the Simi Valley location when we were in the area, so we were really excited to have a location open closer to home in SCV. We love the laidback family-friendly sports bar feel - the games keep the kids busy while the large TV screens entertain the adults. We went when they first opened this location, and we got the Cali Fun Burger, Chickfun spicy sandwich, and the kids ordered the tiny trio sliders. We also ordered a side of garlic Parmesan fries, the fun shake with sprinkles the kids shared, as well as a boozy shake my husband and I shared. Everything was amazing, we were all happy!! Also love that they have such a great selection of beers and ciders. The staff were also super friendly. Definitely check out this wonderful spot!! read more

I went here craving a really good burger after watching food shows. I researched all the burger places around Valencia/SC, I thought maybe the hand made burgers would be good, even though I read that the place was messy in reviews. I ordered the Signature burger, as it was the cheapest and the other burgers had a lot of extra stuff, this was at the top of the burger menu so I thought this was their best one. The menu said it was $9.99, but I was charged 10.99 plus tax. I told the black girl with glasses that the menu said the price was $9.99 and they were overcharging me. She said that she doesn't make the menu. This was irritating to me, since she didn't take any responsibility and acted like as much of a victim as I was. The fries were $3.99 and the beers were pricey, so I didn't order those, not wanting to spend that much on lunch. I was thinking maybe their customers are business people who don't mind dropping $25 on lunch every day. The burger came in good time, about 10 to 15 minutes. I was disappointed to see that it was on a large onion roll. This was not disclosed on the menu. I started eating it, and I noticed that the burger was really moist inside (I ordered it well done) , and I looked at the top of the burger to see if it was charred or browned but it just looked grey.. I was expecting it to taste like a burger, but it tasted and had the consistency of meatloaf. As the oversized bun got soggy, I wondered if they had toasted the bun, doesn't seem like they did, so it got soggy. The burger didn't seem grizzly but it also didn't have the consistency of a burger. Long story short I was disappointed, particularly for the price. I could have gotten a burger that is smaller but a million times better at Shake Shack, but they are not in that valley. So I guess I'll go back to Tommy Burgers or In-N-out. The burger was large, it just wasn't good. And on my table, the napkin holder was empty. Otherwise the place didn't seem messy like before. When I asked the clerk if they add anything to their burgers, she said that the signature burger had kabob spices added to it. AKA it is a meatloaf burger, gross! It just didn't taste good to me. Maybe they added meat tenderizer to it? As far as their 'Certified Angus Beef'... how about ground sirloin? Who cares what kind of cow, what cut of meat is it? read more

I really wanted to love this place. The concept is something that your kids would love as they have a bunch of old school arcade games inside the restaurant. The decorations and theming are nice and would really attract families to eat here. The food was just okay. I ordered the Cali Burger with their fries and a drink. The fries were okay, but had zero seasoning or salt on them. They were also lukewarm at best. The burger was a huge letdown for me. The bun was hard and lacked any real flavor. It wasn't buttered or toasted or anything to make it taste a little bit more "homemade". The meat blend tasted like Carl Jr. to me....dry, overcooked, charbroil-cooked. I'm not trying to bash Carl's, but I would have expected the meat to taste a little better. I'm not going to write these guys off yet as I want to support local SCV businesses. I just hope that the owner reads these comments and rather than argue with the comments, improves his product because otherwise this place will be out of business by the end of the year. read more

Well, I was going to do a direct email to Fun Burger with constructive criticism, until I noticed that the same issues have existed since their opening, and still exist, based on their Yelp reviews. I was really hoping that Santa Clarita had gained a new hot spot. The only thing hot was me, under the collar. Let's do some pros and cons. Pros: Good selection of cold beer. Tables cleared and cleaned as diners exited. Lots of big screen tv's. Cons: Food order not prepared and served all at once. Partial order served cold. Remaining Beer Cheese order served 32 minutes after being ordered sopped in oily goop (see picture for reference). I am really stumped on what transpired, on what was a $68 lunch with tip. We placed our order, got our 2 beers and sat down. After 30 minutes, and every other patron being served, even those who ordered after us, I went to inquire about our order. I was told that the beer cheese was currently being made, at which time they brought out my husband's cold burger and the cold fries. Now let's backtrack just a little, I told them just put any cheese on the burger, it was fine, but noooooo. I also returned my cold garlic fries before my burger was ready. My husband was a trooper, he ate his cold burger and fries, while I waited. Eventually my burger and remade garlic fries arrived, two bites in to the burger and I was done. I have had beer cheese many times, this was nothing better than oily clumpy goop, the burger was sopped in it, literally no way to eat that mess. In all fairness they gave us two beers and two $10 vouchers, we gave the vouchers back. I left my burger and fries there to be thrown out, two bites of that sopping mess was enough. read more

Well I appreciate the response from the owner, there is no excuse for old lettuce and tasteless food especially when the restaurant just opened. My last review was for the Italian restaurant right next to Fun Burger. I happened to eat there during their soft opening as well and there food was delicious. The owner told me it was a soft opening so I was prepared for issues. I actually took the hamburger patty home with me the day I ate at Fun Burger, since I only ate 1/3 of it. I had my husband taste it and he too agreed that it tasted really bad. I realize that everyone has different tastes so I hope everyone gives this new business a chance. WORST BURGER! Tonight, we decided to try this place. As soon as we entered, it was smoky inside as if their exhaust system is not working properly. My wife and I ordered the signature burgers with cheese and fried eggs. We ordered the fun fries and sweet potato fries. I got the beer flight and she ordered ice tea. Unfortunately, they only had sweet tea. There was no unsweetened ice tea so she got a refund. We paid $41. While waiting for our orders, the place was getting hazy. When our burgers arrived, my fun fries were missing so we told the server about it. The sweet potato fries were limp. No condiments were provided and we had to ask for utensils. We took a bite of our burgers and it was the worst tasting burger. Hands down you are better off eating at any fast food burger place. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. This place is now a must stop every time we are in town, the atmosphere is awesome and inviting! Since this place has opened we have already ate here over 5 times and we live in Palmdale. It has lots to offer for the kids and more to offer for the parents at the bar with all the great craft beers on tap. My wife is vegetarian and she loves the vegetarian menu they have to offer starting with the cauliflower poppers and beyond burgers. The blend they use for their patty tastes like any generic burger you'd make at home. Their fries were okay. The chicken burger came out cold, flavorless, and was falling apart. I'm not sure if they're completely open, but their soda machine had 3 or 4 flavors unavailable, and the person who took our order had only tried one item from their menu when we asked for recommendations. The à la carte approach, at a Burger restaurant, won't sit well with most Valencians. Making cheese an extra is almost unheard of in general. The sides portions are inconsistent, which adds to the frustration of paying separately for them. The Burger was tasty but took 45 minutes to prepare. The attendant apologized for the delay, but when we noticed there were only six onion rings in the serving basket, with the french fry serving not being much better, it kind of set our opinion of the place. I stopped by Fun Burger yesterday to get food to go. My little girl didn't want to leave, they offer cool games they can play for free and some fun coin games. There a tv screens with sport games playing. It has the fun sports bar feel but kid friendly. I am definitely returning and plan to dine in next time. I had the barbecue chicken salad. It was delicious I could not stop eating it. My kids had burgers. The burgers are fresh and delicious. The owners were so welcoming and kind. I loved the happy vibes. read more

While waiting for my car to get serviced nearby I stopped in to Fun Burger as it looked new, clean, and intriguing. I asked for a coffee and the owner made me a fresh cup out of pure hospitality (not sure if they offer it on their menu.) I had to create an account just to leave a review. Granted, they were quite busy, so I wanted to extend the benefit of the doubt regarding the 45-minute wait for the first burger. However, it seemed to be one thing after another - from the burger itself over cooked to the toppings, which arrived charred and burnt. I began to question if they had even gotten me the correct kind of burger while I was checking for an update on the second one. It took an extensive amount of time to get in touch with someone, making it more convenient to just dump the charred bacon, onions, and just eat what I could. They do have a number system, but for some reason, it wasn't being utilized. Instead, servers had to navigate through the loud music and the cramped space, going table by table and shouting to identify whose meal was ready. This situation necessitated going up to the counter and waiting to ask for updates or just waiting in line with everyone else to order. After a painstaking hour and a half of checking in every 15-20 minutes with different individuals, I finally discovered that my order hadn't even been placed, and they were just then going to prepare it. Once they eventually prepared the order, I was almost at my car when I decided to double-check it, only to realize they had forgotten to include the fries. I was just tired and wanted to go home but had to go back in to get the rest. The establishment presents an intriguing blend of concepts, aiming to be a sports bar, a restaurant, and a kid-friendly area with games. However, the limited space doesn't quite accommodate everyone. Additionally, if you want another beverage, you'll have to wait in line alongside everyone else, despite there being a bar where you should be able to get a refill. The bathroom and tables were a bit of a mess. Got so bad that someone in-between beers were picking up tables. Again, I can understand being busy but by the end of it I wasn't even mad, I was just beat down and tired. I wanted to like this place because it looked like something different. Ok first off my sister and I were going to go to CPK- and she suggested Funburger, since we had a good experience when they first opened - BIGGG MISTAKE! This was around 8pm on Saturday - 10-14-23 ok - after 45$ my sister got a chicken sandwich and I got the classic burger plain - which i told the guy 3 times, because people struggle with the concept of a plain hamburger ... I finished it twice with "just burger and bun, nothing else"...and a shake- after - really - I know this is hard to believe - 45 minutes later - our food finally came and no milkshake - my burger had everything on it plus some kind of sauce- I told the girl that brought it that I had ordered it plain- and we didn't have our shake yet!! She took the burger back and said she would go make the shake- 5 minutes later here comes my burger with everything scraped off of it- pieces of things and sauce in the grooves- well - I promptly walked back to the front and showed them - and the girl said" oh, they just scraped it off??" of course - it had taken 45 minutes for the first one - like I would get a fresh one in 5??? I explained at that point. I no longer had an appetite - I'm checking my bank on monday to make sure the burger was credited back- 45$ should have went to CPK- Stay away is my advice read more

We had Funburger cater the Hart Lacrosse end of year banquet and I am so glad we did. We ordered food from their barbecue menu and it did not disappoint! They were very generous with their portions, the chicken and Tri tip were cooked perfectly. The mac and cheese and pesto pasta were both hits as well. They were so accommodating in making our event stress free. They delivered the food, set it up and provided us with two servers for 2 hours which was perfect! The owners even showed up to make sure everything went as planned and that was appreciated. If you have not tried their barbecue items yet, you definitely need to! The flavor is on point. I was very excited when my friends suggesting going to Fun Burger for dinner last week. My family ordered two burgers and a kids burger. Unfortunately, all of the burgers were burnt and did not taste very good. The fries were good but having burger in the name, I expected a perfectly cooked burger that tasted great. My friends and I ordered one after another. I got my food and waited a few minutes for them to get their food. When it didn't come, I started my meal. I finished my meal before their food arrived. Hopefully this is just new store pains and they figure out how to cook the burgers. I do not think I will be able to convince my friends to go back especially since, I am not sure I would spend the money to try it again. read more

Not so fun unfortunately.... The girl at the front when we walked in was super nice. Actually every employee there at the time was super kind. We came in after a long day of being at the soccer field. Had really high hopes as the coach bragged about the great beers on tap and the TV screens. On his defense, the beers and TV's were definitely the best part. The food unfortunately was not war I had hoped it would be. I did make the mistake of ordering a turkey burger, but I was hopeful it was going to be super tasty. I did however order the green bean fried and sweet potato fries which I'd say for me saved the meal. If I ever went back, I would just fill up on those. The other things we purchased were the kids nuggets and a kids burger. The burger was on point and pretty good )says my daughter), but unfortunately the nuggets didn't hit the spot. My son bit into one and it was not cooked on the inside. Wasn't to thrilled about that as you could imagine. However, the kind staff were very understanding and handled the situation very professionally. It's nice that they have some arcade game sthwre to keep the kids entertained. Have us adults a chance to actually eat our food... The reason for the 3 stars wasn't even the nugget situation. I was just hoping the food would hit a bit differently. Had some pretty big expectations and unfortunately they weren't met. May give it another go in hopes of a more solid experience. Food was good. However I was not given credit for a $5.00 coupon. I ordered an individual pizza and a lemonade. The total was $11.76 with the coupon discount plus a tip (I think it was $2.00). I signed the receipt, took it home and put the amount ($11.76) in my check register. The next day I discovered the debit, dated 4-10-24, was $20.51. I was cheated out of at least $9.00. Since I did not keep the receipt I figured such would not be honored. Thus I am warning customers to check your receipt and then check what was debited. read more
