That included an extra 30cents for the funky sauce (which was terrible) and an extra 1.50 for a large side of fried pickles vs a regular side. My food came with 1 piece of fish and not a large order of pickles the sauce and a coke...oh and a piece of bread. I ordered spicy fish which I don't believe this was...anyway the fish and pickles were okay but overpriced and there was definitely nothing cajun about the pickles nor.spicy about the fish. TERRIBLE. I ordered a 5 piece wing combo, fried pickles, and Boudain balls. The fried pickles, boudain balls and chicken tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil and had a very nasty bitter like taste to it. The fries and the UNSEASONED slices of white bread they give you were the only good things I tasted. I ordered a chicken tender meal with fries and a drink. The chicken arrived hot and *well-seasoned*. They have good sized tenders -- not small like some places. The first time I ordered from them I got three tenders, but since then, I've been getting two tenders because I'm already full after eating just those and the fries. My fries were good, hot, and *well-seasoned* as well. Perfect portion size. Every time I've ordered from here, they always include a slice of white bread in the box, but it's not toasted and doesn't have butter or anything??? It's literally just a slice of bread straight out of the bag. This kind of struck me as weird because I've never seen a restaurant do this, but it doesn't take away from the meal at all. It just feels like you're eating a home-cooked meal. A lot of people complain about their delivered food being soggy, but this is just a caveat of ordering food for delivery. They package their food in styrofoam, so if the food is hot when they put it in there, it'll steam up and you take the risk of it making your food soggy, especially if you don't live close to the place you're ordering from. I can really taste the Cajun seasonings that was on the batter of the fish. I also had the shrimp poyboy. The poyboy came with lettuce, tomato,light chopped onion,American cheese, and mayonnaise. The shrimp also was flavorful , but I wish they would've added more shrimp on the poyboy though. The chicken tenders and fries for my kids were good, and of course well seasoned. The food was freshly cooked, and hot because I seen them cooking it. The prices are reasonable too. Overall everything I ate was satisfying. We ordered delivery through Ubereats. We ordered the whiting fish, but what we received looks and tastes like catfish (I think we were given catfish). The breading was good, but every piece had bones in it. It's not surprising to come across a bone once in a while, but when there are bones in every piece, it kind of ruins the meal. We ordered (and paid for) fries, which were missing from the order. Either they accidentally gave us a regular order of corn fritters, or they believe 8 corn fritters is a large (they're pretty small). The hushpuppies were very good. We ordered one meal of "regular" fish and one of "spicy". Even though they were in separate containers, neither were marked, so we had to taste-test them, and never did quite figure out which was which. As a matter of fact the order we decided was "regular" tasted mild, until the third piece of fish, then it was suddenly "spicy". Too much swapping of fish and picking out bones for my preference. Anyway I open the catfish and fried to absolute perfection, however no seasoning what so ever ...so I do the unthinkable and add ketchup...the fries again no seasoning, koolaid was not sweet as I expected (snappy catfish koolaid will make you slap soneone)now this place represents cajun country and did not deliver the flavor at all. But to be fair my 1st time and it could have been an off day or my taste buds could have been off. So the next time I am in the area I might try the chicken. Heard about them from Dallas Black Restaurant Week. I went this Sunday and they were moderately busy. Not sure if this is how they operate on the regular ( I hope it is) but they cook their food to order, so it's hot when you get it. We got chicken wings and catfish nuggets. The chicken was good and seasoned well! The catfish nuggets were good but I felt they were missing something. I am not sure what exactly but they could be improved. My advice to the owner would be to create some kind of signature mild sauce for their fried items. They could even use a generic mild sauce. The only thing I felt was just horrible were the fries. They weren't crispy at all. They were like a limp soggy potato. Didn't taste good at all! They put some kind of seasoning on it but it fry itself was awful!!!! They're a new business and still working out the best way to operate their business. Just keep that in mind. I originally went through the drive thru and no one acknowledged me. I talked to the intercom and also requested to speak to someone on the payment machine thing( I think this was an old bank). They might not operate 100% smoothly now but once they get it together I have faith they will. Definitely go support! read more

I love the shrimp wasn't spicey like advertised but my spicy and their level of spicy are different from each other. I am from Louisiana so when you say cajun or spicy that's what I'm expecting. The fries and hush puppies were on point. The fish was a little to fishy for me and it wasn't spicy. Here is a suggestion I believe if they would invest in slap your mama or some Creole season when it comes down to the Cajuness or the spiciness I think that would work out for them. I had been wanting to go this place since it opened, I drive a truck and have to stay within a district, this was the first new fish place in my district. I went for lunch and had no problem finding a parking space for my large work truck, i had seen someone complain about parking on here, no clue what they're talking about. I get a 12 piece fish nuggets, fries and small drink for 9.19. The lady was very nice and called me Mr. Doug, I saw no rudeness which someone on here also complained about. The nuggets were ready in about 10 minutes, they had hot sauce and spicy tartar sauce. The nuggets were so fresh inside and the batter wasn't burnt at all, fries were also very good but could have used more. My co worker also liked his fillet.
