WARNING TO KEEP YOUR DAUGHTERS CLOSE AT ALL TIMES. This is supposed to be a fun, safe place for kids and young teens. Took a day trip to visit American Ninja Warrior Adventure Park in Santa Ana, CA with My partner, myself, son (2yo) daughter (10yo) and her best friend (11yo). First, we chose to explore the inflatable obstacle course. There was one (male) employee on the course "supervising" at the time. I noticed he seemed to be keeping an eye on my girls more than anyone else on the course and following them around. About 10 minutes in My daughter told me he gave her a strike just for saying "that was easy" on the balance beam and I thought that didn't make sense. My daughters friend then mentioned "he's just been following (my daughter) and looking at her." My daughter and her friend are no trouble at all so I felt off about the situation. . I thought to myself I'll pay close attention to him. I had my daughter run around so I could see if in fact he was just following her which he was. I decided to keep them by us and sure enough he stood in the corner, looking at us. That's when I looked at him and asked if there's a reason why he's just following my girls, he said he was "doing his job". I asked him why he wasn't keeping a close eye on the other kids, and told him I was the parent and was watching them... He started getting very defensive with a very weird demeanor and expressing to me that "he wasn't like that, he's not that type of person, they're all background checked and there's cameras".. a few minutes later he walked up to my partner and felt the need to tell him the same thing he just told me... WEIRD, I got the point the first time, just stay away from my girls!... Anyways, We left that area went to the Adventure park, the girls got slurpies and continued playing at the adventure park only. About 45min later a manager approached me and asked if I had an interaction with one of her co workers. I told her I did, she said "she didn't appreciate the way I spoke to him, and he was over there crying" I told her I didn't appreciate the way he was just following my girls around. She continued on to tell me that all of their employees were background checked and we needed to leave. (We weren't even in the area he was, for long over 30 minutes and had no issues otherwise) I told her when our time was done we would leave, which was about 30 minutes. I spent good money for a family of 5 just to be kicked out because her employee was being a creep. She threatened to call security so I just got the kids and left. How about you look at the camera footage you have first?! How unprofessional, if you do have an issue just take it to yelp. All the employees there side with each other, don't care about customer service and there's nobody else to contact. read more

Staff was very friendly and kind. They were attentive and offered aid when one of my cousins was feeling nauseous and motion-sick. I assume people getting motion sick is a common occurrence here (the bounce house is ruthless), so they were on top of it immediately and they knew what to do. They got him a sprite and a lollipop to help with the nausea, and he was feeling much better in no time. The park itself was quite fun, even for a group of us 20-somethings. My boyfriend and I chose a 1 hour session and we had a blast. We were able to complete everything, and go back and try things multiple times. Even though there were a lot of kids, we were still able to easily try the courses and the kids weren't in the way. I would highly recommend having a date here. It was super fun! The restrooms were well maintained, expectations were clearly stated upon entry and staff were in proximity to every obstacle to redirect unsafe behavior and do some light coaching on how to use the equipment. My son has been into and taking American Ninja courses in Arizona so when we took our trip to Cali we decided to try this place out. The cost is relatively inexpensive however I would recommend only an hour as by the 1 hour mark most of the kids/parents were too tired to continue working through the course etc. So you'll get the most bang for your buck if you do an hours instead of booking like 2 hours which we did (although we're out of state so we ended up booking 2 hours). The registration and staff were pretty nice. The course itself is separated into about 4 different lanes and they also have a bounce house play area as well which you have full access to. You can also order things to snack on and eat in the area so it's convenient. I would have liked a better variety of course for the kids and 2 of the lanes were pretty much off limits for my kids as they were too small to handle the courses themselves. The beginning few courses were overwhelmed with the kids however and since you have to wait for one kid at a time on each part of the course it went really slow. I also did find out that they rarely change out the course stages so that was disappointing. If you're in the area I would at least try it out, but not really worth booking more than an hour in my opinion and the repeatability of going to the place is low due to them not changing the course stages much. read more

Brought my little cousin here on a early Sunday morning and I sure was not expecting it to be packed! The entire process was easy after purchasing their tickets online, they've got consent forms for you to sign once you get there but it all took less than 5 mins. It was funny though that there was a mix of toddlers to adults running around the course. Definitely seems like a fun place for a kids birthday party but I'm not quite too sure if it's safe for toddlers to be by the course since adults were intensely going at it competitively lol at least the inflatable side seems safe for them, overall my cousin enjoyed it ! read more

Super fun! The obstacle courses were super well built, and totally accessible for all ages! We saw a family go with us and both the parents and little kiddos were having a blast too! Theres two parts, the inflatable section and the truss section. I was a bit worried at first when checking the pictures that it was all little kids, but noope the obstacles in the truss section are much harder than they look. I wasn't able to do all of the obstacles, the swinging bars and the swinging plastic boards were too hard for me, so I'm definitely gonna be back to try beat it!! (I went with my athletic gf who is 18, and I'm 19, and it's quite hard!) The "ninjas" helping us out were super friendly with showing us tips for the course and trying it out, and overall it was super fun! Would recommend. read more

Great spot! Awesome staff! The obstacles are suitable and challenging for all ages. Staff members monitoring the obstacles give you tips and tricks to help you through the courses. You may not need to buy socks if you are planning to stay in the obstacles section. My friends and I ended up spending the entire hour in the obstacles portion and didn't spend much time at the inflatables. Only advice is to be wary of the crowds and stay watchful of your belongings and keep them secure in lockers at all times. Overall great experience! read more

Thank you to the staff for being so welcoming and informative! My boyfriend and I decided to come here on 4th of July (they were open until 7pm) and we had so much fun! It was both our first time and the staff was very helpful. We got lucky coming on a holiday because it was pretty much near empty the majority of the time we were there. The 5 obstacle courses were so fun and definitely a mixture of easy and challenging. I definitely got my workout in. We bought the 1.5 hour session but 1 hour is definitely plenty of time to do both the obstacle course and the bounce house. The bounce house was fun, various of slides and a 1v1 racing obstacle course. There was a team member supervising us everywhere we went (thank you!). I face planted twice in the ball pit and my boyfriend got a good laugh out of it! Overall we would definitely come back again! read more

We had our 10 year old daughter's birthday here! It was easy to book. The place was not overly crowded on a Friday which was nice! This is inside the mall, second floor. Our package came with pizza, drinks and all the kids got slushier. You can bring your own dessert - cake, cookies etc. they charge $50 if you want to bring outside food. Had my daughter's birthday party here. The kids had a lot of fun and the staff were extremely nice. The only thing is that the place isn't as big as it is on the video on their website. The video might have been from another location, but this place is only about 1/10th of the one from the video. So it's a little deceiving. The adults also share the same obstacle course as the kids. Something to keep in mind if you're thinking about doing some serious parkour in here or whatever. Other than that, the kids had a great time and that's all that really matters. read more

There are many issues with this place. Very underwhelmed, the employee that helped me was clueless. And it's pretty small inside and the challenges were too hard for the average kid. My kids love coming here, mostly for the inflatable obstacle course, forcing me to go the long way and not try too hard. Regardless, an hour pass is more than enough time to channel your inner ninja, attempt all the major obstacles and retire to your day job. This place is awesome! My kids and I had a ton of fun on both sides of the park (ninja warrior course and the inflatable obstacle course). Very much like the TV show, which makes sense because they are the only officially licensed course in the US from NBC! This is the real deal. Most importantly, the staff is really awesome! Scott, the general manger, is really nice and super competent. He's totally focused on the customer experience. He's hired a staff of folks that are really nice and personable. One saw us taking a group picture and offered to take it for us, unsolicited. The guy doing the course was giving us tips and rooting for us to do well. I saw one guy on the inflatable obstacle course guiding a 5-year-old through, making sure he had fun -- not part of his job but he did it anyway. We celebrated my daughter's 9th birthday with her friends this past Sunday afternoon. When I found out it was the first weekend of parties, I have to admit I was a bit nervous that the party may not go as well as planned. However, the staff exceeded my expectations. The check in experience went well. The staff checking me in had a lot of patience and answered all of my many questions and requests. Jesus was our party host and he killed it! It was a lot of work dealing with 15 kids demands and their parents! Jesus was very gracious and smiled while we put him to work refilling pitchers of sodas, refilling icees and handling pizza demands. Yes, you read that right, the icees included with the party were refillable during the time we were in the party room. Seriously, a kid's dream come true! Jesus's help and pleasant demeanor really made the difference for me. Also, the pizza was much better than expected. What could have been stressful and chaotic was fun and enjoyable for all in the party. The kids and a few parents had a blast in "play" area. I agree with another reviewer that this place is more like a (fun) gym. My daughter and her basketball teammates had a very fun cardio session. There were lots of smiles and laughs. The good: - The obstacles courses that are there in the bigger non-inflatable circuit are well designed and fun - There's a lot of staff so you are sure to be safe - The inflatable circuit is well fit for kids and I could see a lot of younger kids having fun there - Pretty inexpensive The bad: - The amount of space advertised is so deceiving. What is said to be "17000 square feet" turns out to be a couple thousand square feet of obstacles and the rest is just unused area or places to eat/ check in: - The obstacle courses are fun, but there is nowhere nearly enough. When there is 5 obstacle courses each 4 obstacles long that take about 1 minute you can expect to maybe get half and hour of enjoyment. - the inflatable circuit has maybe four things in it that I can remember: a balance beam, an obstacle course, a small wall to climb on, and a wrecking ball game. This might sound fun but there is nowhere near enough to do here either - Staff were obviously new (since it's a new location) , but came off as cold and not too knowledge as another reviewer said. This can be chalked up to it being newly opened though and hopefully will get kinked out. Overall: Absolutely do not buy the 2 hour pass unless you are extremely entertained by doing the same obstacle course and/or love American Ninja Warrior. I think the average person will get about 40 mins of fun and then like most people I saw just stand around generally bored/ tired. It's fun for this time so if you like American ninja warrior and/or obstacle courses I'd say it'll probably be worth the hour purchase for you. read more

Took my kids to the Adventure Park this past week and my kids were soo worn out from having fun that they fell asleep on the way home. They loved bouncing around in the inflatable with their friends. Also, I did a challenge on more of the adult course with one of my friends and woke the next morning feeling I got a full workout. We recently had took my son (age 9) and six of his friends here for his birthday. While it was definitely busy they had the best time. We went for an hour and from start to finish it was seamless. The staff was friendly, the place was very clean, and the course was awesome. The cafe has plenty of snacks and drinks too if needed! The experience was really enjoyable. It did a good job replicating the types of challenges done in the show. There are a couple of problems I had sadly. The first problem was the lack of space given to do the wall run. A friend of mine messed up his knee on one of them because he was trying to make up for the lack of space available to start. The second and last problem I have is the kids running around. I understand that it is geared toward younger children, but I'm always scared of accidentally hitting a kid when they run through the courses while I'm in the middle of one. I wish there were stricter guidelines or watch of the kids for the sake of the kids or anyone else doing the obstacles. read more

Bought a session as gift to my husband. We had a group of 10 of fairly fit adults and older kids. It was a good time. The younger children played on inflatable course and had a blast while the adults and older kids got challenged on the ninja warrior course. The space was a lot smaller than expected but ended up being such a good time. We all wanted to come back as no one got through all the courses. This place is no joke a great physical challenge. Good idea to warm up and be careful. You can totally hurt yourself. Pricing is also reasonable. Fyi - kids under 5 can pay for their time with an adult to accompany them. So the one payment is for the pair. This is such a great accommodation for parents with littles. Best to purchase tickets online as it is clear what policy is online. I had to call to clarify issue with staff charging me incorrectly but manager there refunded me without me even asking. If you watch the show and think "I want to try that"...then I highly recommend. read more

Great fun, real ninja obstacles, and an amazing workout! We've been searching for a location with a wide range of true ninja obstacles and are so happy to have found this ANW Adventure Park. It was really well run, clean, and had challenges for both my 6-year old and my husband. 2 requests: 1) please offer a package price for monthly, bi-annually or annually, and 2) please open one closer to the SF Valley, Universal Hollywood, etc. We are in the Valley and have to drive 1-2 hours to get to a ninja gym -- would love one closer! read more

The kids had an absolutely great time here. Booked 1hr but clearly 1hr is not enough. No opportunities for extensions without paying the whole amount, so go longer if you're not sure. This is a great place for kids but not adults. When I called to inquire about which time we should do between 60 mins and 90 they kept pushing for 90 mins and how people regret only putting 60 their first time and come back doing 90. My friends and I finished the courses in 30 mins. On the phone they made it seem like there was a lot more to do and that the course were longer. They said there were 20 mini games to play with but nope nothing just 5 small courses and a large bouncy house for kids. Again for kids it's perfect! For adults nope I would say if you're interested stick with 60 mins you will get bored after doing each course once and end up walking around and leaving early. We tried asking if we could just reduce our time from 90 to 60 mins after we did 30 since we were pretty much done they said no and there's nothing they could do. I explained the situation that whoever on the phone with me was up selling the courses and venue and what it had to offer but intentionally lied and even when I asked about how long adults usually play for they said 90+ mins but all the adults were just there for their kids and sitting down most of the time. They even told us to buy socks but we asked do adults normally do? But only kids were in the bounce house which made it awkward so we bought socks for nothing. read more

It appears to be for kids from the outside, however when you actually attempt to complete each of the tasks...it's super hard. It is a straight work out. The pricing is 30, 60, 90 mins per person. There is a children's inflatable section that is a separate cost. It was starting to be a kool experience, until they tell you, that you can't bring any other food or drink item inside. They have tables and chairs and everything yet say you can only buy their food. Absolutely the dumbest thing ever. Most likely won't be returning. There was no one else inside the ninja gym except my kids and still wouldnt let me sit at the tables to watch my kids. Was going to give a 1 star rating but certain parts are good. I guess they like losing customers. I happen to be roommates and friends with an American Ninja Warrior on the show. I really enjoyed it here. Everything was clean and safe, the attractions are made for people of all ages and athletic types. It has an air park and an obstacle course! The service was incredible. Everyone was nice and had a smile on their faces. The employees even engaged with me and helped me complete the obstacles while cheering me on the whole way.
