This is our sixth brand new RV purchase and it was the FIRST amazing experience we have had. (Too bad we didn't choose Funtime RV to buy our other RV's because I'm not exaggerating, the service has been exactly what you hope for when buying a new RV. As happens with every brand new RV, there were some items that needed to be fixed. At camping world in Troutdale, OR , it always took months just to get the RV in to the service department. Then it would sit there for weeks (or months) for unknown reasons and when you would go pick out up, most of the complaints you had were not fixed yet they charged you for things you weren't expecting. With FUNTIME RV we got right in, and everything was taken care of, including things that weren't covered by the factory initially. They didn't keep the RV too long, they gave us quotes for extras we wanted done and the prices were great. The work they did was top notch! All their employees are friendly, professional and seem to strive for your experience to be positive. We especially like Dustin who was our sales person, and Don our finance manager, and Tristan & Tracy in the service department! Way to go Funtime! Funtime RV had a decent inventory of RVs that met our requirements. After a bit of haggling, we settled on a price and made arrangements for delivery. On delivery day, we arrived and went through the typical walkthrough and sales pitch for extra this and that. After dodging the hook to spend a few additional thousand, we hooked up the trailer and low and behold, the weight of the trailer tongue was so great that the chains dragged on the ground. Sooo, we needed a weight distributing hitch. The sales guy pointed us to their "best design" and being mid-afternoon, we allowed them to install the hitch. Next day, I did the research I should have done before buying the hitch and discovered that their markup was $150 more than their competitor. I asked for an adjustment and was denied. Lesson to learn - the RV place will almost always charge more for accessories than you can get them for if you shop around. Their argument for not providing the adjustment was that everyone else pays the price I paid - which means that everyone else gets stuck in the same situation I was in and reluctantly agrees to help improve their margin. read more

I Called and inquired about a trailer, Spoke with the salesmen and asked if he could take some measurements, he took down my number and email, he went out and took the requested measurements and called me back within 20 mim. I asked him to provide the total out the door price, he said he would get the info and let me know ASAP. This was a month ago and haven't heard a word, I text him asking if he had a chance to get this requested info and nothing I was just ignored.... My husband and I have worked with FunTime RV since the purchase of our 2015 RPod and we so enjoyed the techs and front desk personnel that worked there. However in the last year, there has been much turnover and their service department has declined in customer service. They currently are so short staff that they don't answer the phone nor do they return calls. They have a new computer system that answers the phone and eventually you get an automated "leave a message" pickup. We've decided to move our service over to Camping World in the hopes that we can at least talk to a person and get the customer service we're paying for. read more

I've dealt with Funtime RV for about 14 months and had some ups an downs with them in the past. Since the restructuring they've greatly improved. Shaun and the service department were terrific this past week. Even adjusted and instructed me on how to adjust my hitch. It wasn't even a hitch they sold. We bought our RV from them a year and a half ago. We have had nothing but problems with the RV. It was brand new. They said that new RVs always have issues. We took our RV in and had a list of of over 30 items that need fixed. 4 months later we get it back. Well Only a few items were fixed and a few of them were worse. I have called and left messages and even wrote a email about my concerns were ZERO reply's. I WOULD NOT recommend using them. PURCHASED spring 2021- HUGE ISSUES BY SUMMER 2022!! I feel used, taken advantage of and lied to. The worst experience I have ever had with a large purchase! I pride myself in being positive person I try to see the good in most situations, but in this situation after spending YEARS of our hard earned savings on our family's dream camper I feel so incredibly blindsided! My expectations of this company were great going into this purchase. I thought Fun Time RV really cared about what I was looking for that is why I bought a camper 7,000 above my budget because in their words, "The material used on this campers was much better then the one in my price range. This one would hold up so much better and be a good investment for my family's comfort vs. the one I had in mind, because this one would *not fall apart*. The sales woman said you have nothing to worry about, this is why you buy the better model so you can just travel with your kids and be happy/ worry free." This is what I was led to believe because those were the sales woman's exact words. I even bought the BIG bells and whistle extended insurance policy, BECAUSE I EXPLAINED ALL MY GREATEST FEARS going into this and the MAIN one being I wanted something that was going to LAST and something I wouldn't have to worry about for at least 5 down the road. Well, they got me good. They happily took all my money and said all the right things to make me feel comfortable and secure with my RV purchase. Turns out everything they were saying was the opposite of my current reality. 1.5 years later we have dry rot in our outer storage area due to water damage from faulty seals that were never properly checked and mushy bedroom floors... According to their records they were "checked". This camper has been used minimally, camping at the coast a few times each summer and parked under storage. How is there this much damage? I have made OVER 20 calls to the service shop for seal treatments and a basic maintenance. I specifically mentioned the seal treatment EVERY call and every call was the same, they could not get me in or the shop was too busy and I would be put on a wait list. EVERYTIME they told me they WOULD call me back with scheduling and NEVER would. So, I continued to call to have my RV serviced by the place I thought I needed to go since they are they only RV dealership I have ever been to to dealt with. I figured since they had all my campers records I should stick with them... Well, I FINALLY GET it to the shop, finally get the leak looked at it is now late NOVEMBER and I have been actively trying to get in since last June 2021. I asked TRACY who works in Tualatin if there was anyway for my camper to be under a shelter so it would not get rained on *since we were dealing with water damage of some sort, she told me that probably wasn't a possibility so I asked her to order a cover so at least we could have some form of water barrier to protect the camper from further damage. I asked her to please help me with this on day 2 of it being in their shop. On day 24 of being in the shop turns out she lied to me. She never covered the camper... I knew a cover wouldn't fix anything, but it would prevent it from getting worse! I was told by Tracy on 2 separate phone calls she was ordering me a cover and that she had someone put it on for me *and oh what a deal* she gave me 100.00 off so I wouldn't have to worry about further water damage, she even said they were even putting a dehumidifier in the camper while on the lot, so that I could feel good about it setting there since I knew we had a major problem. I showed up unannounced and there was my camper with the storage area door flaps wide open and it was pouring down rain. The rain was dumping from the drain spout into the storage area where we were having concerns. I am sure this only made my issues worse! I received my *quote* for the repairs $6,500.00 -Turns out IT IS ALL MY FAULT for not going elsewhere to have the issue looked at when they didn't have time to help us. They told me I was not proactive in causing the damage, because I had lots of other options to have it serviced by anyone else in the area (this what Scott said) because it is not their fault they didn't have time to help me before now. So now I have a rotten floor and just have to deal with it. I am heartbroken that I was taken advantage of. DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY or YOUR TRUST. LIES upon LIES! read more

Nice staff , but not sure of the business model. The staff at FT RV seem nice enough , worked on a deal for two weeks they said they could not make the deal . Staff seemed very confused and never asked to what more I could do to make the deal more down or what ever. Dan was amazing! He was super informative, but completely low pressure. Smaller dealership with small-town ethics and atmosphere. We didn't feel like we were just a number, at all! We drove down from 8 hours away to shop at multiple dealers, and we stopped looking once we got here, because of how we were treated. I called last week about a brand new th that was listed on their website, craigslist, and rvtrader.com-but even though it was just posted, is amazingly "just sold". How convenient that they had the exact same model, used, with 2700 miles on it though. Then I call back today and talk to a different salesman, to see if maybe my offer was too low for the first one-to see if maybe the first guy didn't want to haggle. Plus I kept seeing the brand new one for sale posted on their site, craigslist, and rvtrader.com. and I get the exact same story! "Sorry we just sold that today" And the "reason" it a still posted is because they "sells 100s of rv's every month". Buy I have the same one but used, with 700 miles on it if you want to buy that...I call Bullshit! I hate being lied to, and I hate even more when salesman pull the bait and switch. Avoid this place like the plague! Unless you like being misled and lied straight to your face. I'm sure they're going to try and defend their behavior as a misunderstanding, but I have email and photo proof of their shady dealings, for anyone I interested in seeing how they really operate. read more

We received a recall notice on our Forest River class A just about 10 days out from our 45 day trip to Southern California. Aaron was able to squeeze us in, and took care of the recall issue at no charge during that next week. OK now, three days before we're due to leave and an issue of the privacy curtain dropping down inadvertently during travel in front of the windscreen should not be an issue for us! The service team is fantastic! I purchased my travel trailer from Funtime in October of 2018 and had a solar system installed as part of the purchase. When I picked up my trailer, Ian took his time and thoroughly reviewed all the systems, buttons and knobs with me before I took the trailer home. He also made sure I had all the basics required for a successful first couple trips out. A few months later, I had a couple questions about the solar system. Once again, Ian took his time to make sure everything was working as it should be and answered any and all questions I had. We bought a new trailer from the Rockwall location. Greg Morton is the most professional, friendly and knowledgeable salesperson I've ever worked with. I sat down with him for just a few minutes and told him what I did and did not want. BAM! He nailed it with the first unit he showed me. He made sure I looked at a number of others just to be sure. I really felt like he was working for me. The buying experience was absolutely painless. I was able to do almost all of it online. Once I finished the online stuff, we walked into the dealership and had it done in 30 minutes. What a lovely departure from the five hour "let me talk to my manager" ordeal of buying a car. We would not recommend Funtime RV in the future only because of their service (the buying process was great, thanks Dan!). While picking up our RV, we consistently had to ask for folks to wear masks (we have an immunocompromised member of our family). And while we love our RV, we have had really frustrating customer experience (most recently, our vehicle has been with them since Thursday (it's now Tuesday) and they aren't giving us any updates, even though we call every day. There are better stores with better service, and I would strongly recommend them over others because when you buy an RV, you're in it for the long haul. You need a partner. read more

Purchased new 2019 RV from Funtime RV in Nov 2018. Had to have several factory warranty services completed at their service center the past 9 months. Each time their service manager Aaron Seger was super friendly and took care of us with no hassles. He recognizes us by name each time we've met him and assures us our RV will be fixed and ready ASAP. And it always has been. This last trip to see them we needed several issues taken care of, including replacing some of the tiles on the floor. We were scheduled to leave town for an extended period of time and we were worried the work couldn't be finished in time to make the trip. Aaron and Sean, the tech who did all the work, made it a rush job. They finished it ahead of schedule. Our RV is Like New again. And we will hit the road on time. Can't praise these two guys enough. They are the rudest most unprofessional group we have ever dealt with. Bought a brand new trailer from them and bought the extended 7 year warranty. All I can say is thank God ! we have had nothing and I mean nothing but problems from day one! Everything that can break has. There wasn't a trip that we took in the last 7 years that something hasn't broke. We just got back from a 6082 mile trip and while we were on our trip. The oven went out. The bedroom slide broke, the fridge went out,the striker on the stove went out and the generator quit working, we took it in to Funtime and guess what they said nothing is covered even though it is still under warranty. it will cost us 3500 to fix and waited until we called them 8 days later to find all this out. I would never buy anything from them again and will tell everyone I know to stay away. Forest Rivers are pieces of crap just like funtime! read more

My family and I rented an RV to go camping in California (which was a 6 hour drive from us) and packed it all up only to find out that the stairs that are supposed to automatically retract wouldn't budge. We called the owner of the RV who wasn't able to help, called other RV places that wouldn't service us because we weren't owners or whatever other reason, and finally ended up having to drive to Funtime going 20mph with the stairs down. JAMES IS THE MAN. He was so helpful over the phone and in the shop and removed the stairs for us because the board ended up being fried. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND JAMES!! This entire fiasco took 3.5 hours out of our day and James was the light at the end of the tunnel. And then - HE DIDN'T CHARGE US. We obviously refused to leave without giving him cash but he performed the service free of charge. James is a literal miracle worker read more

I bought a 2017 Class C Forest River 2500TS motorhome from these people last June. It was driven out to Oregon from Indiana. 2300 plus miles on the rig when I bought it. They held it for 3 days after I purchased it to "go over it" to make sure everything was in working order. Not only did they not change the oil in it, but the one click gas cap clicks back and it sets off the check engine light. Also, one of the awning speakers does not work. They are allegedly backlogged for 6 to 8 weeks to fix anything and they want your rig for 2 weeks after that. Their customer service is ZERO. They also talked me into an extended warranty, which is indeed a joke, because of the backlog. NEVER AGAIN! read more

We bought a brand new shockwave trailer 30DSGDX that has been nothing but problems from day one, went to use it and the slide wouldn't go in, after hours of frustration and on the phone with the dealer we got it to almost close enough to travel to the dealership only to have hours more work on it and to the day it still doesn't close like it should and it is still at the dealership and we're making payments on a trailer that is a lemon, and to be told they are working on answers and never get back to you unless you drive to Tualatin location and confront them only to be pushed off again. Will never recommend that location and would only ever deal with the sandy location. By the way this is a year in the making and they still have my trailer and they will ask you to do all the leg work with the manufacture. I bought my RV here back in 2012 had them service it for years and never really had a problem until recently. In 2015 I had my RV winterized and was fine with it but the next year we went camping I noticed some crusty turds in my toilet. I suspect someone either broke into my trailer and took a dump or one of the workers at their service department cut a loaf in the head. It was nightmare and very difficult to remove as the dump was crusty from being in storage over a year. Recently went back just a few days ago to get it winterized and check my water heater and my water pump they diagnosed the problem with just a dead battery so got a new battery installed. Great! When I drove my RV into storage I wanted to get a last look on the inside and it was a nightmare mice or rat poop everywhere and mice piss all over nice bedding I had stacked up and the table top was out and bedding moved around. I am almost positive that the mice feces came from their location as I remember doing a walk through before I dropped it off because of last years issue with mystery turds. Well I finally called to complain and spoke to Steve the service manager and asked if he left my Camper open overnight? He said no they don't and don't have a mice problem at their location. I call BS on that as he said they had to open things up to get to my water pump so maybe they left it open over night and didn't realize as it was a mice orgy full of crap, piss and any other fluids that mice may make in a infestation party. Either way very tired of getting mystery turds in my RV after service from Funtime RV and rodent turds and piss so I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Also their computers were down and I didn't get a final bill so who knows what they will charge on my credit card as their phones were down when I came to pick up my trailer. They said around $300 for the Winterizing and the new battery with install seems like a reasonable price. I had to throw out an expensive mattress toppers think I paid around $50-$80 bucks for that I bought for the queen bed in my RV as most of the damage was on that topper as it used to be white but after the mice orgy it was yellow with smeared mice pellet turds all over had to trash it. I think the guys in the service department have something against me for some reason maybe the reason they screw with me for some reason. I am recently in the market for an upgrade RV as well and wont be going to Funtime with the nightmare service department issues against me. Ps. I also noticed some damage on my trailer every time I leave it with Funtime RV service department if a gash on the outside or major dents on the inside they will treat your property like trash be careful who you do business with. read more

One star for service. Bought a used trailer that was advertised smaller than it actually was. Now it doesn't fit in driveway. Scott said it would be completely checked over and detailed. The rug and floor are filthy. The refrigerator didn't work the first time we turned it on. We feel we must use this as much as possible in the 90 days warranty to see how many problems there are. read more

We bought a 317rl brand new in 2014. We used their delivery person to deliver to a permanent spot. The guy didn't have the correct vehicle and left us trying to find someone who could put us in the spot on a 4th of July week. Now we find out our whole back of rv has Water damage and when repair guy opens it we have no insulation! Now they tell us they cant help us with finding the correct wall covering. The after the sale customer service sucks. How do we fix this,? No wall covering matches even close. read more

My wife and I are on are on a trip to rediscover America. Halfway through our power sofa bed stopped working which meant I was sleeping on the floor. This time of year it is hard to get service. We called Funtime and while they were backed up several weeks Steve Scott agreed to take a look. He diagnosed the issue and had it working in less than 10 minutes. My wife and I bought a RV from Fun Time in December of 2019. When we were in the process of buying it and we were told that they would go over it with a fine tooth comb and if they found anything wrong they would fix it or replace it. When we got it home the wife noticed cat hair in and under the seats and the top of the motorhome was filthy. There was also a broken switch that had not been fixed. I called Fun Time and they said bring it back in. They told me they would have the service department but they never did. My wife and I are particular about how we want things clean. We love the motorhome so we decided that we would just clean and take care of everything ourselves. We took the new motorhome on a couple short overnight trips and both times parked close to the bathroom facilities and so the toilet in the RV has not been used. since getting it, there has been a funny smell in it and I could never figure it out. I decided to flush the black water tank. Apparently Fun Time does not do black water tank flushes prior to buying a preowned RV. Our motorhome is a 2018 so it not old. Enjoying the motorhome but very disappointed in Fun Times service. read more

When I repair an rv, I need parts. When I go in with a part number I should be able to have Funtime order the part.... nope. They never have what I need, they refuse to cross reference either.. I recently went in with a safety valve from a gas stove, the original part is no longer made, but has a replacement.. the guy said nope, obsolete, so I gave him the replacement part number and he told me he couldn't order it for me... ok. Whatever. Went in for a replacement fan, nope. We don't have it. Went in for a crank up vent cover, they had them on the wall, told him what I needed, told me they didn't have it, I seen what I needed and bought it, guess what... it worked. I spend all my money local, but when I cant get good customer service, guess what?? I order what I need online, alot of times cheaper... I hate camping world , I despise them, but if I need something now, they have it, and the customer service is awesome.. a big difference . Funtime acts like they don't care about the customer, maybe they make all there money on RV sales?? Good for them, but if the after sale service is as poor as the parts service I and nearly everyone I talk to have witnessed so be it... I won't buy my next RV from these guys . And not even worth my time to get parts. read more
