Very expensive!! Theater is great. Go carting was good too. We had the 5 hour unlimited Groupon pass. Bumper boats were a little lame as none of the squirters were on. Just bumped around a little until we got bored. Don't like that the arcades are all different prices. This place is so ridiculous! The go-carts are so unorganized and it's a completely stupid system they go by age n height for the go-carts so if you want a faster one say your over 13 yr old so your child can race the same time as you! They should be going by height not both. They run two different races the faster cars and the slower speed cars except they skip the slower car multiple times so they wait in line double the time. The staff was not helpful in guiding you to the correct line or explaining why or how it works. I'd rather go to boomer next time at least it's fair and easy your either tall enough to ride alone or your not!! read more

I come here often for the batting cages, and never had any problems whatsoever. Today I tried to use a Groupon and it was not accepted, even though it hasn't expired and my friend with me just recently redeemed the same one. It was six o'clock in the evening, the batting cages were not crowded at all. Darrell was completely unwilling to accommodate us and was very rude. I told him we had just used the same Groupon without a problem on a previous day, and he responded, "They were probably training or the person who helped you didn't know what they were doing." I find that hard to believe as there were numerous employees working that day, and they all went out of their way to ensure we enjoyed ourselves, and received what we paid for. Darrell obviously doesn't share that work ethic. I will not be coming back here for the batting cages anytime soon. read more

Spent a couple hours there today, below average place. It's pretty dirty, the line in order to get cards/wrist bands is ridiculous. You have to get in line for just about everything, even the food court. The "3D" attraction was of very low quality. Prices are too high for place. The batting cage stopped working as we played, then later the go carts had to be refueled, prolonging wait time for those in line. Extremely packed on Sunday's. read more

I've been coming to this place ever since I was about 10 years old, I loved it then for its attractions, arcade games, and atmosphere, and am happy to say that now as an adult I still love it for the same reasons. Now, I have my kids to enjoy it with, and every time I bring them here they spend hours upon hours riding go-carts, mini golfing, and eating pizza. Usually it would cost an arm and a leg for a family to play all day, but at Funworks everyone can play all day everyday for very affordable prices. I love tons of things about this place, but one of my favorites is the fact that they offer bundles and deals on food, games, and all attractions. read more

My first time at Funworks yesterday and I loved it! Especially the fact there were no long lines. The rides were fun except the XD theater. I guess being more for kids it was wasn't that extreme...It doesn't have many rides but still a good place to go for the day for the locals. read more

Funworks is a great place for little kids. There is a food court but is slow and very poor quality. Yes when I was younger I loved hanging out for hours with friends but now that I step back and look on the experience it wasn't that great. Many of the games are old and should be replaced and there is not that many to even choose from. The staff is there to assist after you can find one, and when you go to an attraction you end up searching for an employee to operate it. Honestly I would take my kid if they were under 10. read more

First and last time here, came from Manteca with my husband and 2 little girls. Ordered taco salad with the beef looking like big sausages. It was absolutely disgusting and unappetizing. I paid .40 cents for a side of ranch for my fries and it was curdled/spoiled. I nicely waited for the line to be gone so I can inform the 16 year old staff respectfully that I was not pleased whatsoever with the taco salad I paid $7.00 for and the teenager said that she's pretty sure I will not be able to receive a refund and that she thinks their are signs that say so when you walk in lol. NOWHERE AROUND OR NEAR THE SNACK BAR do these signs exist. She then went to get the manager, the teenager came back and said the manager said no refund. I said "okay, she's coming over here right?" She said "umm, no, but you can go talk to her if you want." I said thanks! I went to ask to speak to the "manager" Carmen and all I have to say is, unprofessional, rude and immature. That's why little girls like Carmen will stay working at a child's arcade..making $10.00 an hour.Acting like she's a CEO. Her attitude/demeanor before I even spoke was nothing short of disgusting. Carmen with a disgruntled demeanor, referred me to a business card with the manager's name on it "Tiffannie Raney" and stated that I can try to get a refund but probably won't.And said so as she turned her back and walked away.My positive feedback is that the young teens working there are nice and approachable.I would've enjoyed my visit here with my family if I would have even been humored by Carmen and she could've pretended that she cared.She must be related to the owner's/manager. I absolutely hate coming to places like this. It's loud smells bad and expensive but my daughter loves it and I'd do anything for her! Did have an awesome time last night though with my daughter and my friend and her son. Had a huge headache when we left but seeing how much fun the kids had and spending time with my lady makes it all worth it!!! Great people watching too lol! Went here for my 6th grade end of the year field trip and had the best time! I played mini golf with my best friends and we enjoyed it so much! The go karts are really fun and it's also fun to race your friends and the food is amazing even though it is expensive! The bumper boats were perfect that day because it was so hot! Been going to this place ever since I was a kid! It's a lot more noisier now, so loud it will probably burst your eardrums. Games are pretty crowded together and the space inside is pretty small. Outside in the back is a different story! The go carts are the best thing about this place! The mini golf is pretty fun too. The food is incredibly undercooked and overpriced though! This place has great potential. Like many other places in Modesto, it seems to be ok with just a middle of the road place to go. Nothing to give it a "wow factor". We went on a Saturday morning and used a Groupon. Great deal for what we got! For going so early in the morning the place was not clean. The tree house play area (once again great potential) was full of empty garbage presumably from the day before. The miniature golf is incredibly outdated. How much would it cost for a simple paint job and to fix the bumpers? I wish places like this in Modesto would go the extra mile. This place has great customer service! My husband left his phone in the Xd theater and the attendant turned it into the lost and found. I lost one of the game cards but because I saved my receipt they made it very easy to replace. The attendants were all very helpful and there was so much to do! The people who work at the gokart suck, especially the main supervisor, they take the fun out of it. I was taking the inside on a turn, the person turned tight and slightly bumped me, I mean slightly bumped (not spun out or anything) ..just a bump. They slowed my kart down for 1 full lap. And warned me to not bump very rudely. Like calm down buddy, I wasnt even the one who bumped. Bottom line, they take all the fun away with the strictness. We were there for 30 minutes at the batting cages and we spent more time asking for help from attendant because the batting machines kept on breaking down .the customer service people were not helpful at all and when I asked for a refund they looked at me like if I was from another planet. I know the place can get kinda busy at times but when customers choose to have fun at FUNWORKS but spend more time waiting for assistance because of their faulty equipment it turns out not to be fun at all. I took my son here on Thursday for part of his 13th Birthday. We purchased the 4 hr pass for $20 and upgraded to unlimited for $4 more. The girl at the counter asked how old my son was and I automatically told her 12 cuz he wasnt 13 for a few more days. I didn't realize they put in new go carts and they go by age. We got stuck on the slow carts because the cut off is 12. Even though my son is almost as tall as me and is a big kid. The ride attendant told me the age was 12, sorry. We tried going on the 2 inside rides and stood waiting a good 10 minutes while 3 employees were working on a machine right in front of us. I had to ask them if they would let us on the ride. The girl said someone would be right over. 15 minutes later someone showed up. We went over to the theater ride right after and waited and waited and had to go ask at the counter. Even though there were several employees I saw standing around, it still took about 10 minutes more minutes for someone to let us on the ride. We tried going on the water bumper boats and stood there in 100 degree heat for about 15 minutes without anyone once again to let us on the ride. When the guy finally came over he said if we are wet at all we couldn't ride any other rides. We purchased an unlimited drink and wasn't told we would need the receipt to come back to refill our cup. They changed people at the snack bar and since I didn't keep my receipt the girl argued with me about it. She final had to look up the receipt in the register, but only wasting more of our 4 hrs we paid for. We went during the week because I thought it would be better with less people. I was very disappointed especially because it was part of my son's Birthday. I was upset I paid $50 and hardly got to ride anything because most of the time was waiting on ride attendants to do their job. I wound up calling and speaking with an on call manager "Darrel" that sounded and acted like he was still in high school. After explaining everything to him, he defended everyone and told me how short staffed they are during the week. He couldn't once tell me he was sorry. All he did is make excuses. I really dont know how anyone could hire this guy as a so called manager. We were very disappointed with this place. We have been here many of times before and was never like this. I was out here for a birthday party with my grandson and I swiped my debit card for $45. The manager said the transaction never went through and refused to give my grandson the card so he could play. She said transaction never went through. It went to though my bank and pulled out the money!!! But my grandson was left doing nothing at the party because of the manager. I even showed her that it came out of my bank. I contacted her after a couple days to try and get a refund and she had the audacity to tell me to take it up with my bank! Ugh really ! You make a four year old go without play at a party and then tell me to take it up with the bank! Rude and not very friendly!! read more
