I stopped by on a Friday During business hours and they were closed. Went back the following Monday and the door was locked but there were people inside, one was sitting on MY chair. Finaly someone came to the door But refused to let me have my chair. After I said I would call the sheriff he made a call to his boss and after some arguments he let me have MY chair. It appears to me that this company doesn't care about their customers or future customers. Obviously, they hill get no recommendations from me.

Drop the chairs off they called me the next day that they were in the meantime one of the other patio chairs in the set also ripped. I brought the other two chairs up when I went to pick up the first two that I dropped off on Thursday afternoon.I told him I know this is asking a lot but I've got a bunch of people coming over for a barbecue on labor day. Any chance picking these two up tomorrow. Carlos with a big smile said no problem Mr Morrisey.he said we're only be here till 1:00 tomorrow because of the labor day Holiday but you can pick them up at noon. Next morning at 10:00 a.m. I get a call from Carlos and the chairs are ready to go. Excellent work in excellent service. They can handle the smallest or the biggest upholstery jobs. We saw…read morethat Chavez Since 67 had good reviews so we met Mr. Chavez on Nov 28, 2025 at his shop to discuss recovering our sofa and love seat.  We selected fabric and paid for it and the labor up front, over $4,700. He insisted on a check made payable to him, which we found suspicious. He said he was quite busy but would do the work in 12-14 weeks, since the fabric had to be ordered from Spain. Later we learned that the good reviews were old and not representative of more recent customer experiences where Chavez was not doing the work he had been paid to do. We learned more about of his delaying tactics in a local Channel 13 news report we found on-line. Since we had heard nothing from him, on Feb 19, 2026 we called Mr. Chavez to ask when he was going to pick up the pieces. He did not answer, and his recording said to send a text rather than leave a message. We then texted him asking if the fabric was in and asking him to call. There was no reply. On Feb 25, 2026 my wife emailed Mr. Chavez, asking when he would pick up the items. He emailed back stating that he was running behind, had only one upholsterer, had been unable to find any good upholsterers, and had lost two experienced men due to immigration issues. He said he would let us know when he could schedule the work. My wife emailed back asking if he had an estimated timeframe. He responded by email, saying he could not give us a timeframe, adding that he and his upholsterer were also recovering from the flu. This is the same excuser he had given earlier customers. For a total of 8 months, his delays, excuses, promises, discount offers and apologies continued. We lost all confidence in him, so we were forced to initiate another grand jury prosecution for fraud. This legal process took weeks, but it finally forced him to refund all our money. We do not recommend Mr. Chavez or Chavez Since 67.

My distributor wanted to charge me $75 per yard for the exact vinyl, these guys had a similar vinyl in stock for $15 a yard. These guys also do a lot of custom work. When I went in there was a lot of patio furniture that needed repairs. They make custom cushions and replace the material on outdoor patio furniture. Definitely recommended and if you can shop local. They have a ton of material in stock and they sell direct to the public.
