Trying to look for a Korean restaurant in Spokane is kinda hard to do, but we did see this place in Yelp. While they did have great tasting ban chan, the main dishes we ordered lacked....taste. I don't know how to better describe it, but they just missed some umami flavor. We ordered KalBi (which was sizzling) and yukgaejung (spicy beef soup which was also bubbling). See attached pics. The soup was described as spicy, but lacked flavor. The KalBi was cooked perfectly, with char on some pieces, but also lacked flavor. Sorry, wished I could have scored the meal more but it just lacked that flavor we were looking for. *** Update - the restaurant reached out and asked on how they could improve so the review gets bumped up from three stars to 4 stars. Thank you for asking. For the KalBi, maybe more shoyu, ginger and honey would help bring out more flavor. As for the yukgaejung maybe a little more sesame oil may do the trick? I appreciate the fact that the restaurant actually read my review and solicited feedback. read more

It was okay. Had the spicy bulgogi. Nothing to write home about. Kind of a grody place that you would think would have amazing food. Watch out for potholes in the parking lot! We did not enjoy the food here. The guy that served us (i think the owner) had a very unwelcoming attitude, serving us with the utmost disrespect. And he was very stingy with napkins and evertime we asked for something, it was like we did something wrong. The only thing he offered to refill was water. Fusion Korean was a wonderful restaurant for me. The owner was really nice to me as I went in and ordered my dinner and introduced me to her mother the chef. We had good conversation. The food was good. Their entrees include rice banchan (side dishes). I ordered their hot and spicy chicken. The chicken was nicely marinated. Along with the banchan, it was enough for both my wife and I to eat. I don't know how Fusion Korean compares to other Korean restaurants in the area, but, I liked them. read more

We did not enjoy our meals from here. We got the bulogi beef and just about every roll they offer as a to go meal, plus their egg flower soup. The soup was fine but the rolls were really odd - the cheese they used seemed like kraft cheese in a roll and yeah, I would not come again. We surprised our friend with this as take out and she didn't prefer it either and she's usually so easy to feed. read more

Pulling up to front of restaurant we hesitated. Front needs a little facelift. But we learned to not to judge a book by its cover. Once inside we were pleasantly surprised at cleanliness. Cute little place. We had Galbi and steamed dumplings. We really enjoyed our meal. Dumpling came out steamy hot and plump. Galbi came out sizzling hot. Sides were lovely. I think owner served us. I calculated $31 plus tax! for my 4 veggie rolls a chicken teriyaki and a beef roll. small portions for $65.00. The owner was very short with me when I questioned the bill and blamed me for not understanding his Korean. I won't return!! I will say the presentation is beautiful! Poor customer service can ruin the entire experience. The menu said $4.50 spring rolls and $6.50 teriyaki beef and chicken. what really irked my nerves were he kept saying "I told you on phone" old menu. never once mentioned double + prices!!! read more

Ever since the West-side government mandated closing in-resto dining statewide, while proliferating herd mentality in the big-box retail stores, Saturdays have been about ordering take-out from our favorite places. Everything today was as good as ever, but I will advise folks that if the owner dude takes the phone call, he's gonna ask you for your credit card number to secure the order. I'm not cool providing that info over the phone, anymore. But as luck would have it, my Wifey was close enough to place order in person and then do a little shopping in the area before pick-up. Woe is my wallet for that little development. I will say that even when we have dined in at Fusion, that guy has always been--ahem--a little salty. Gotta love a great hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Sooo good! Some of the best Asian style food I've had in the greater Spokane area. I know, that bar is pretty low... We had an appointment in the area and decided to go here for lunch. The reviews were pretty good. We were not disappointed.We both had one a #1 Combo. I had bulgogi and my friend had teriyaki chicken. It came with white Rice, 4pc fried dumplings, 4pc California rolls, and an assortment of little salads/condiments like kimchi and other marinated veggies. Everything was delicious. We both said, "Mmmm!" when we bit into the fried dumplings. Everything was a great quality. Perfect seasoning without being too sweet or spicy. Just right! So it doesn't look like much from the outside and it's pretty basic inside, but what it Fusion Korean lacks in looks it makes up for in flavor. The menu is still limited for dine in and they are operating on a small staff. Although what they do offer is well done. We got one order of kimchi ramen: huge, spicy and delicious. Two combo meals with some ban chan pickles, dumplings and main entrees. The main entrees we tried were spicy pork and sesame chicken. The star of the show was definitely the spicy pork. A decent but not overwhelming amount of heat and very tender. read more

Really really want this place to be good, it just isn't. Small place, a bit loud and minimalist decor. I would describe the food as small flavors. Size of the portions is generous, but maybe in part that's why the tatse is less abundant. Slow service, yet friendly all the same. This place needs a total make over and a new chef. I was looking for a good delivery option that was pizza (blah) and that hmm Korean food that delivers so I went for it. I ordered chicken bulgogi and edamame, the minimum delivery is $15 and this put me a little over $20. Delivery took about an hour and ten minutes so I was thinking at this point that my food was gonna be cold and I was completely wrong. In fact, it was piping hot as if I had it made in the restaurant. The chicken bulgogi was flavorful, full of vegetables and the portions were HUGE! I thought I was gonna get a skimp amount of edamame, wrong again! You definitely get your monies worth here. Great little restaurant that is very clean and the way staff was very attentive. The bathroom flooring and everything in this place was very well kept clean. The food come out prompt, hot and very delicious. After being stationed over in Korea per year, I will say the food does rival authentic Korean food. The only downside to eating here, in my opinion, is that the portions are not as what I expected. Other Korean restaurants in the area seem to give you a generous amount rather than smaller portions like here. I got the hot spicy bulgogi and it was just right, very flavorful and spicy but not too spicy. my brother got hot spicy chicken bulgogi, which was good too but I preferred the beef. we also got kimchi jjigae (soup) and kimchi fried rice, it was very good. both we're just the right amount of spicy. the restaurant is also very clean and pretty and the bathroom is very well kept too. overall 5 stars !! read more

Surprisingly the shrimp tempura rolls was the best I've ever had! The sesame chicken was ok. It was like mini fried chicken nuggets with loads of sauce. Prob wouldn't ordered that again. My first time trying Korean food so I'm definitely no expert on whether this restaurant serves the best or not. But. My tastebuds were delighted and quite pleased with the dinner that I got to enjoy. I'm still fairly new to Spokane area, but for Airway Heights this place is for sure a two thumbs up and quite frankly it compares quite nicely to my Vietnamese, Thai, and Chinese restaurants that I enjoy frequenting. I will definitely have a repeat dinner here in the near future. Everything tasted great and nice portions.
