My daughter treated me for breakfast at this cute classic diner on 3/12/24. The decor is farm style and nostalgic. It was definitely a busy morning. Long line of people waiting to be seated. After about 30-40mins, we finally were seated. We ordered the whole farm breakfast $23.99. It was HUGE!! We had to split the order and it fed both of us. We opted for the Belgium waffle on the side. The whole meal was delicious and satisfying. It was a great first impression for me upon my first visit. The coffee was ok. I'm excited to go back again and try other items on the menu. read more

Stopped for the first time when I was in town for work. The service was awesome, greeted with a warm friendly smile, Ashlyn if I remember correctly. The food was just as good. Convinced me to come back the following morning and try Billie's version of Biscuits & Gravy. Outstanding! I travel for work, found myself back out on that side of town and walked in and the young lady engaged in conversation. What a great memory! The chicken salad wrap was so delicious! Excellent service from Ashlyn this morning. She is taking care of the whole front of the house alone and doing a fabulous job. She came over as quickly as she could, yet in the interim, let me know "hey I'll be here as soon as I take this out" (or something similar). I love the farm-to-fork focus, especially with the emphasis on Palouse-sourced ingredients. The coffee--roasted locally in Rockford, WA--is excellent. I had the breakfast burrito and it was fantastic, with a perfect balance of cheese and eggs. My mom ordered the pork belly scramble and absolutely loved it. The biscuits are enormous and come with a delicious fruit butter--definitely a standout! We came in as a party of six plus a baby, and they seated us with minimal wait. But the food was cold in general, bacon overcooked, and the quiche was a disaster: flat, crust burned and microwave-reheated. I had heard about this place, checked out reviews and contemplated stopping, and today was the day. Staff is warm, friendly and so helpful and attentive. I had the candied bacon waffle with bourbon syrup, and they also brought plain maple. My husband had a traditional breakfast, all was so delish! The waffle was beyond decadent, so tender with plenty of bacon and butter, and both syrups were excellent. The biscuit with the eggs and potatoes was amazing! We brought it home and ate it later, so tender and yummy. I also got a sugar cookie scone to go which we only tasted a smidge of but couldn't resist getting it; it is deliciously sugar cookie to the max with plenty of pink icing. My only concern is when I can go back! We have family in the Spokane area so hope to stop in again soon when we go that way. read more

Billie's Diner was a great find, as they serve an excellent breakfast. Billie's prides itself on serving food made with locally sourced ingredients, mostly from farmers located near Spokane. Everything is fresh and well executed. Our server was very friendly and made us feel right at home. She was efficient, sweet, and had great suggestions. We ordered the ham & cheddar scramble, along with a waffle with pork sausage. The scramble was outstanding: a perfectly balanced mix of fresh eggs scrambled with chunks of quality ham (not the overly salty processed type, but flavorful fresh ham nubbins). It came with perfectly toasted and buttered sourdough toast and a mountain of non-greasy home fries. As good as the scramble was, the real star was the waffle: perfection personified! Light and crispy but on the inside hot and slightly eggy. Despite not having real maple syrup (I am a New Englander & prefer real maple syrup), this was one of the all time great waffles. The sausage patty was nothing special but the world class waffle more than made up for it. During a cross country drive, Billie's Diner was the winner for best breakfast. I hope to return to Spokane someday to try their lunch menu. read more

Baked Oatmeal, Pork Belly, and Biscuits & Gravy. That was our breakfast this morning and it was delicious!! Oh, and cinnamon rolls to-go. Can't forget those amazing, delicious pillows of cinnamon-ny goodness. I had two eggs scrambled dry and a side of pork belly. Some of the most tender pork belly ever. Fresh taste, no overpowering seasoning, just delicious. My dad had the baked oatmeal with blueberries. We had never heard of baked oatmeal before and were thoroughly impressed with the texture and the taste. A friend of ours had the Biscuits & Gravy. Just the right amount of black pepper and sage. The flavor of the black pepper intensified the more he ate but it was a welcome increase. It may be a touch strong for some sensitive palates but he truly enjoyed it. Oh, and the coffee was hot and rich. Coffee is a tender spot for me as I like to roast my own at home. For me to enjoy coffee at a restaurant, it needs to be spot on.
