I am writing this to warn other customers about my experience at Future Honda on Auburn Blvd in Citrus Heights. My 2026 Honda Civic was vandalized shortly after purchase from this dealership (all four wheels stolen). The car was returned to the dealership on Feb 16. At no point did I ever receive a written estimate for the repairs--not from the dealership, and not from my insurance company. I only obtained the estimate/invoice because I called Geico myself and asked for it, and the representative confirmed in a voice mail he did not know why it did not take place. Despite this, the dealership went ahead with the repairs. On Feb 21, I went in to pay the amount stated ($4,573), but the Geico check could not be processed. An employee named Dakota told me the dealership would wait for the insurance check to arrive by mail. Then on Feb 25, I received an email from the service manager, Johnny Rodriguez, demanding immediate pickup and claiming "storage fees" of $825, increasing to $1,100 the next day. I have attached a screenshot of this email. The tone was intimidating and completely inappropriate, especially given that no estimate had ever been provided or authorized and the check had still not arrived in the mail. There were also multiple hang‑up calls during this time. When I arrived to pick up the car, "Johnny" did not identify himself--I had to ask him directly. The car had been left outside for weeks, covered in dust and bird droppings, despite the dealership threatening "storage fees". I ultimately had to involve the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) to stop the harassment. BAR resolved the issue within days. Without them, I don't know how this would have ended. No customer should have to involve a state agency to prevent a service manager from using pressure tactics. I will not be returning to this dealership. Had amazing service here 2day!!! I came in needing an oil change & an alignment. When I got there, I was greeted fairly quickly. Ali was the 1 who helped me get checked in. He told me that unless my car is feeling like it's pulling 2 the side, I don't need an alignment, my car is 2 new. I appreciate that he gave me that info since I was saving $$$. He also looped me in that the 30,000 miles maintenance is pricey since it's coming up in over 9000 miles. I asked how much we r talking & he gave me the quote. Damn, it is quite pricey!!!! I also explained that I would wait in the customer lounge as I explained that I don't have any way 2 get back 2 Honda 2 pick up my car. Concierge Service and MORE!!! I just moved my dad and mom up to Sacramento from Los Angeles, where they lived independently all their lives. They are now in their 80s and thriving; however, their car in L.A. wasn't. So, as opposed to them driving or having it transported, I encouraged them to ditch it and get another one once they arrived in Sac. First off..... I cannot stand buying cars. I mean.., I cannot STAND buying cars. The haggling part really doesn't exist any longer, but it is so damn time consuming! And, we were buying a used care in cash, ya'll! Although, the process took 3+ hours, and the finance room, in my opinion, is set for refrigerator temperatures, so you will sign for all the 'extra packages', quickly and without thinking about it (UGH!), I will say this... Omar Ruelas is the BOMB!!! He is the consummate salesperson. Where do I start with how awesome he is? 1. He was sensitive to my desires to ensure my parents had a dependable car, that had been fully inspected. 2. He touched base with me, every day, and sent me pics on any available car that met with our criteria. 3. When we didn't have time to come see him, because it was my birthday, the man drove a car, to Texas Roadhouse, for our consideration! Now THAT got our attention! 4. After the purchase, we were trying to figure out how to get the car home, because we were on our way to dinner in my car. What did Omar do? I initially visited the dealership and was greeted by Marco, who seemed friendly. At first, my questions about the car I was interested in were answered vaguely. The next day, we scheduled another meeting, and Marco immediately started pushing a completely different car. After a long back-and-forth, we finally began discussing the original car. That's when I was told that the terms we agreed on yesterday were actually impossible to meet, and that the new car he was pushing was supposedly a better deal--which was not true. When I said I needed time to think and started to leave, I was pressured with claims that multiple people were already interested in the car and that its price would increase by $4,000 by the evening. I was even threatened that I wouldn't be served there anymore and was handed off to a manager. Due to this attitude, I left the dealership frustrated. Well-where to begin a good experience turning into a nightmare. We purchased a vehicle last summer. a 2020 Acura RDX. The first occurrence was the front windshield was pitted. Very noticeable in the sunlight. This should have been noticed but Future Honda did replace the windshield. The second problem was a popping noise in speaker. Future Honda tried to find problem but could not so we spent money trying to resolve issue. We spent $385 but was fixed. But the best was yet to come. We started noticing a musty smell-found out water damage in car, which by the extent of the water damage, had been going on for quite some time. Found out clogged drains in panoramic sunroof. Through all this, Future Honda accepted no responsibility. The insurance company totaled the vehicle -we lost about $8,300-we asked sales manager at dealership to give us a good deal on a new vehicle. He would not even work with us. A guy came out and asked if I had an appointment which I said know. He then says "IF I check you in now it wont be ready until around 3pm", I then perplexed point to one of the many Express Service signs and comment and he quickly comes back "Oh those are just signs" and then comes back with "as you know its almost lunch time". No actually I dont know what your lunch time is, no I dont know that a dealerships service department shuts down for lunch and doesn't stagger their technicians lunches. I've been a Honda owner dating all the way back to 1997 and since that time, I have proudly had 7 different models. Which takes me to "Future Honda" (formerly known as Carmichael Honda even though it is technically in Citrus Heights). Located on the corner of Greenback Lane and Auburn Blvd, this has been one of the few car dealerships that is a standalone without any other dealerships in the area. I also bought a car here (way back in 2002) and had above average service from the salesman at the time. Since I live less than 5 minutes away here, I scheduled my first oil change (at 7,000 miles) on my 2024 Honda Civic Sport. What makes this convenient is that ALL new Hondas include complimentary oil changes for the first 2 years/24,000 miles that can work at ANY Honda dealership nationwide. As far as the scheduling goes, the process is simple and I highly encourage making your appointment through their website. Everything was simple as I made my appointment for Saturday 8/3/2024 at 9:30am. Keep in mind that the service/parts area is more towards the rear of the dealership but it was still very easy to find. When pulling up, I had Siobhan help me while taking all my information down. She asked if I wanted to wait or come back later. Since I live so close, I opted to head home. And best of all, Honda provides complimentary Uber rides (within a certain radius) to for dropoff and pickup. I then get a text alert around 12:15pm to let me know my car is ready. Prior to me picking up my vehicle, I received a summary (via-text message) and website link of any work that needs to be done. The only thing are new cabin/engine air filters (both of which can be purchased OEM at any auto parts store for far less than the dealership markup). They also do all routine maintenance including tire rotation, brake check, and assure everything is in working order. I can't really speak much of the sales at this dealership but I have enough knowledge to tell you that the Future Automotive Group which is one of the top automotive dealers in the greater Sacramento area focus on customer service and value at a reasonable price. Once picking up my vehicle, I can tell how it drove a bit smoother (due to my tires being inflated at the proper PSI). All in all, "Future Honda" was an above average experience and I will continue to do business with them. My rating, four stars. read more

My wife had the worst service experience at this location. Upon arrival, she waited 10 mins to be checked in then they told her it would take 3 hours to do an oil service but she waited as she needed the service done. We usually go to Folsom Honda as we are near by but I received an email offer for cheaper oil service here. As she was waiting in the lobby, a sales representative named Adel Karra approached her and asked her a list of questions and asked her for her number and innocently as she just assumed it was a networking opportunity since we were looking for a new CRV but she did not mention that to him and as he continued talking to her it became extremely inappropriate, asking questions about me and her personal life also. Then he asked to take her out on a lunch date and even said he'd stop at her work place to take her out. Luckily, the cashier asked the service advisor to pull her out as she was about to call me to pick her up but they took her out of the situation. One, this guy knows where she works as she told him she works at a financial institution so she just assumed he was trying to network so she told him the company she works for. Granted there are many locations but it wouldn't be hard for a stalker to find her if he really tried calling all locations to find her. I believe this man has been fired from multiple dealerships for inappropriate behavior. I have yet to contact corporate due to the weekend but I will as soon as I can. This is extremely dangerous for women to have to cross paths with such a man and if the dealership is aware of his behavior then why has he not been fired yet? Odd, but we will never come to this dealership again and I advise any women to never go to this dealer also. The store is not what it looks like in the pictures either. Stay safe and far away from this dealership as there are plenty more out there with people who are not creeps and others who are willing to help. Especially Glubokansky, who hosts a radio show in Russian and deceives people by telling them what awaits them in the future. And in the future, after the warranty expires, you will face hell. So don't buy a Honda from Future Honda. You'll be very badly deceived. When your car breaks down, they'll say, "Oh, yes. We'll fix it for free because it's a Honda error," and they'll charge you a lot of money, promising to give it back. They're scammers. Be careful or stay away from Honda, as the quality of their products has dropped to a new low, and the prices have skyrocketed. It's been 3 months since we've purchased our 2023 Honda Pilot and we are still just as happy with our purchase as we were the first day! I spotted the car online, got in contact with him, confirmed what amount we were actually purchasing the car for, put our $500 deposit to hold the vehicle when it arrived, did our test drive and rolled out the lot with less than 5 miles on it! Tareq answered all our questions with confidence, was very accommodating to our needs, never once rushed or pressured us, and did a wonderful job explaining all the functions of the Pilot. Our appointment was pretty late in the evening (this was on my part) which left us doing paperwork and insurance calls late. Despite keeping him until almost 10 pm at night he was extremely patient throughout our whole transaction. This was going to be 5 stars. As usual the people are very friendly during the sale. I asked for specific terms on the purchase of a used car and they complied. I didn't complain when they charged me $1,000 for a Safe Guard tracking system that I was forced to purchase because they had already installed it on the car. I was assured that their technicians had gone through the car. I got home and started to put up the back bench seats and found the right seat did not work. These are electric seats, so I cannot raise the seat manually. I sent a text to Omar, the salesman that helped me, in the morning at 8:30am. He totally ghosted me all morning. At 12:22pm I sent another text. He still ghosted me. Just a note, during the sales process the tests were returned promptly. About 1.5hrs. later I stopped by thinking Omar was off today. I found him there and he gave me a lame excuse for not returning my text for the last 5 hrs. I ask if his guys could look at the issue. His manager said no because it is a used car and I purchased it "as is". Fair enough, I did purchase the car "as is". Contractually I have no recourse. However, just because its legal doesn't make it right. I was told the tech's went through the car. What do they do???? This was the very next morning not more than 10 hrs. after the sale. I was hoping I would have a good experience purchasing a car from a lot. But this turned out to just be another shady car dealer. I actually live in Roseville and I know that there is a Honda in my city but I am more familiar with Citrus Heights so i decided to call and make an appointment with their service department. If I could give 10 stars I would. The customer service here is top tier. I called on Monday and made an appointment for Tuesday morning and since it was my first time ever coming to this dealership since moving to Roseville a month ago I wanted to get there early just in case anything. When I arrive I was greeting with a smile and friendly conversation by Johnny Rodriguez and he knew exactly who I was and let me just say this man is really a people person and you can really see that he loves his job! I actually went there because my admissions light kept flashing along with my tpms light and I needed to get them shut off, plus I needed to get service before going for my smog check. Little did I know there was so much more going on with my car. Once he checked my car into the system I went inside and waiting in the waiting room for my car to be done but I didn't know that I would be going home without my car that evening. Johnny came and spoke to me as I came outside to get some sun and went over everything very thoroughly to make sure I understood everything the break down of the work that needed to be done, pricing and everything. To be honest I was really shocked to learn that my car needed so much work but it makes sense because I have had my car for about 10 years and I bought my Honda as a used vehicle so the parts came with the car so the parts are more than 10 years old. Once he told me the price I had to start figure things out because it was way more than I had anticipated. He offered me a lift at no cost to go home and come back the next day or I could get a rental for the day which sounded better to me because I live with and take care of my mother and I needed to be able to get around just in case of emergency or anything. Once he told me the price I needed to talk to me mother because we were coming together on the price of work to be done. I really feel that he saw that I was silently panicking on the inside and when I let him know that we would only be able to pay for a couple of the services that day and then I can come back in a few days and do the rest. He looked at me and said "okay how about this, if you can do this price", making sure it was in my budget, " I will cover your rental. I know you did not come in here expecting to pay this much money today." I literally wanted to cry but I held my self together. Mom and I have been going through so much and he really helped us to remember that in the midst of it all God is still looking out for us. I really didn't care what else happened that day, Johnny really made my day! I had an appointment for an oil change and inspection at 830 today. I kept my promise and arrived on time. Julian Kuper checked me in. He promised me my car would be done no longer than 2 to 2 hours and 15 minutes. At 1100... I called and my car needed 30 minutes. There's the first lie...My car was not ready...nor ever taken into the shop. I called back in 40 minutes...my car still not resdy6...I asked Julian to set me up a ride to get my car...15 minutes later..no car..i called back...finally got a ride...now i know why he never called me nor called for an Uber...they did not start working on my car... I made promises to help other people based on Julian's promise to me that my car would be done in 2 hours... Over 4 hours later I finally got an Uber ride back after asking 3 times. Now I know why he refused to call me...THEY DID NOT WORK ON MY CAR..DID NOT DO THE INSPECTION...ONLY THE OIL CHANGE...They did not even bring my car into the shop until after noon. What a bunch of lies and broken promises. I will write every bad review and contact corporate. I told JULIAN KUPER... I will never be back..he just shrugged his shoulders. I left so mad. They did not care at all that I made other plans or my brother had a heart attack. I bought my car there in 2020 so I so I figured going back to them to see how much I could possibly get for a trade in was a good first step. I was very clear about what I was there for but they immediately had my test driving cars. Whatever, I had some extra time. Again, I was clear that I was not going to buy a car that day. They had me sit down, give them my information to do a "soft credit pull". I made sure to ask them at least 2 times if this was going to affect my credit and they assured me it wouldn't. I was hesitant, but they told me it was not a hard pull so I (stupidly) trusted them. Lo and behold, there was a hard check on my credit report a few days later!! Needless to say, the won't be hearing from me again and I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Ladies, especially, keep your wits about you and stand firm.
