We purchased a brand new 2023 Honda Civic EX at this location and once it arrived, there was a deep paint chip that went past the primer. The sales rep, Phil and the sales manager, Keith, promised it would be repaired once the sale was completed and it would take "a few weeks to a month". This purchase was one July 15th and yet paint job has not been done. We've contacted them multiple times and often we were ignored or they didn't call us back. We gave them a week to at least book an appointment and have continued to make things difficult since they expect us to take a day off from work just to get this done since they apparently can't do it on the weekends. We've never felt so disrespected since they're making it seem like we're the inconvenience. We've made purchases at Folsom Lake Honda and Yuba City, but will never come back here to Future Honda in Citrus Heights. I recommend seeing Evan at Yuba City Honda instead since he's worth the drive out there. read more

I DO NOT Recommend Future Honda Service New owners, GM, managers, SAME BAD SERVICE & now Shady & untrustworthy. I thought they improved & changed their blasé poor culture, but it's WORSE than before. I spoke with an advisor Sam at 8am, he said he would send an invoice for a part I could pay for & appt was set for following Thu. Sam didn't keep his Word, didn't send invoice, didn't order the part, didn't return my repeated calls or messages. Then I spoke with service manager (next day) who was indifferent & said if I had a "bad taste in my mouth, then recommend me going somewhere else bc that's what he would do. " I told him I was trying to give them a chance to make things right, & do what Sam stated to me. I learned Sam straight-up lied to me, & his manager. Ex. Sam stated to me, "Your price would be $1900 minus $290 I paid for diagnostic & a/c service, equaling $1600+ tax." I repeated it back to Sam multiple times to confirm price. A day later, When I spoke with the Manager (M), he said the price was $1952+ tax, & $290 would not be taken off. M said, "Sam told me that he told you, that $290 wouldn't be taken off." I told M that was not true, & repeated Sam said $1600+ tax. Ex.2 Sam said the ac compressor needed to be replaced & gave cost of $650+tax. He left out that the compressor brand was NOT HONDA brand & was an after market product. How does a Honda advisor not tell you what he is putting into your Honda is not a Honda part? This never has happened to me, after owning 3 new Honda's for 20+ years. Future Honda new owners, managers, advisor Sam, and GM Kevin are SHADY, MANIPULATIVE, don't care about their customers, and Tried to GET OVER their customers. Phill was great and easy to work with. Was slow to find out when they would be able to have the car in. After a couple days waiting, they had it. Beyond that hick up, everything else was great. I was helping my friend find the vehicle she wanted. Phil not only got us the car she wanted he also provided a better price than what others would offer, he event went beyond to try and make things go smooth as possible. Took my CRV in as I was having intermittent issues with it starting and requiring a jump. Informed Future Honda that it was occurring 2-3 times a week and since we had issues with the battery within the first year I wanted them to look into the issue. Was Informed they checked out the car and that there was no parasitic draw and battery was good. Since they couldn't recreate the issue, they suggested I leave the car overnight, which I did. I don't think anyone worked on it at all day though other then trying to start the car. After I picked up the car, I parked it in my driveway to clear some things out of the way, and as I got back into the car to start it, the car had no power. Several weeks went by and I continued to have the same problems which prompted me to do my own investigation. This led me to recheck the battery and found the issue was the connector. I am beyond frustrated and extremely disappointed that I got charged $120 and they didn't even check the battery cables. I wouldn't trust them with more complicated work. read more

Bought my brand new 2023 HRV from Arthur a couple months ago - good experience. Brought my car in to fix a paint scratch (due bill) and small area where a pebble hit my windshield. Left with huge cracks in my windshield. How in the world does my new car look worse leaving the service department than it did when I came in? They of course won't take responsibility and told me that the damage can just spread out of nowhere. They admitted that it remained repairable until the glass tech went to repair it then it was all of the sudden unrepairable? Why didn't anyone explain to me that the windshield had gotten worse? Why did they have me sign my paperwork before showing me the car? Why did I have to discover the crack and bring it up? I bought a $33,000 brand new car from you and you told me I was being unfair for feeling like you were responsible for my damaged car? "If I did this for you do you know how many other people I would have to do it for?" Condescending - Rude - Unskilled. The service department stated later that over time the cracks can spread etc, so why did they decide to drive my car off the lot and fix the paint first? Then drive my car back to their lot, then attempt to have the glass fixed? Why would you not fix the windshield ASAP to avoid situations like this. Thanks for that. Really taking care of my car and ensuring the damage doesn't worsen. Sounds like negligence. Love my Honda, don't get me wrong, it is the best investment I have made since I sold my money pit BMW years ago. When I first bought the Honda from what use to be Maita Honda, they are sooo warm and accommadating. The minute you drive off the lot, it all goes down hill from there. I have taken my car there on numerous occassions, mostly for oil changes and warranty issues. Genenerally the service has been pretty good, and I have even gotten rides to where I wanted to go so that I wouldn't have to wait at the dealer. Recently I booked an apppointment for 11:00AM last Tuesday to have the oil changed. It was the worst experience that I have dealt with there. Even though I made an appointment, Chris told me It was going to take over 4 hours because there was only two techs doing oil changes. Chris discouraged me by saying I might want to go else where to have it done. Normally they have LYFT or UBER account to drive you where you need to go if there was going to be a long wait. I was told by Chris that they would UBER me somewhere, but I would have to pay to get a ride back to the dealer! At one point he was condesending by telling me I only had oil changes since I purchased the car and I needed to have done all of these point milage inspection maintenances done since the car is now over 4 years old. None of the other service people have ever told me of all these things or showed me videos of my engine and brake system since I purchased the car. Of course now it will cost thousands of dollars to have it done to insure the car is up to par! I am over this dealer and will need to look for a local shop that works on Hondas! read more

My wife had her Accord key duplicated. While there she had the free muti-point vehicle inspection done. Of course they found many issues with her car totaling $1101 not including labor. Of all the issues that were documented one was for her battery. It noted "Requires Immediate Attention" Replace the battery", the only problem is that I purchased a brand new battery in May of this year! I inspected her battery when she got home and it still looked brand new, no crust on it or even dirty! The date the battery was purchased was right on the battery 05/24. There were a few other things that were questionable, replace the Power Steering pump bc it was leaking oil." Well guess what, there is no leaking oil! So woman beware of dealerships bc they will definitely take advantage of your ignorance. One other thing about this dealership, the car was taken in on a Wednesday and my wife used her credit cart to pay. The following Saturday she got a fraud alert that her card was used in Paris, France and also in S.Carolina. Very suspicious since she rarely uses her card and the last place it was used at was this honda dealership!! I cant prove it but it sure is suspicious! Never trust dealerships, I also had a very horrible disaster at a dodge dealership in Vacaville that would of cost us thousands of dollars! Fortunately we bought the truck thru Costco car buyer program. And it was only bc of that, that the dealership redid our sales contract. Just got me a super nice Pathfinder. Phil was the coolest guy . Didn't feel pressured whatsoever. My 10 yr old son and I were there for several hours with paperwork and such. They should be very clear that even with an appointment you have to wait 2 hours! No apologizes or any type of indication that this is not norm. OMFG this place is horrible. To start, they open at 7 but their techs don't start arriving until 7:30-8. So good luck with an early morning appointment. I spent 2 hrs and 20 min waiting for an oil change and I had an appointment at 7. During check-in process I let my service advisor, Julian Kuper, know multiple times I wanted full synthetic oil. He also refused to prove me an itemized list of items that would be worked on when asked. That should have been the first red flag. Then, with all the unnecessary items they try and sneak past you, the oil change would have cost over 400$. FOR AN OIL CHANGE! Fast forward 2 hrs, cars done and I finally get the itemized list. While reviewing before signing I noticed they didn't use full synthetic as I requested. The advisor told me that synthetic blend is full synthetic. It is not. He finally goes to get his service manger who seems annoyed that there's a problem and treats my concern like an inconvenience. Dude... I was sitting there for over 2 hours at this point for a freaking oil change on my day off that you didn't get right and I'm inconveniencing you. Seriously?!?! WTF He off handily tells the advisor to pull the car back in and take 50$ off the bill, this entire time not having the decency to address me, except for initial condescending question at the beginning, as he walks away. Wow. Additionally, they told me there was a problem with my break light, which there wasn't and my battery needed to be replaced. Oh sure like I'm going to trust them. While attempting to access the break light the tech screwed up my trunk liner. I had a great experience last time I was there but this... this was a freaking nightmare. On 4/21/23, my wife brought our 2018 Honda CR-V to Future Honda, Citrus Heights, for the 30,000 mile maintenance. She waited several hours and when the car was ready she received the bill along with a list of the items that were checked. No mention at that time of any issues needing attention. Everything was "You're good to go." On 6/7/23, the car wouldn't start so she had AAA come out. Their driver said it was most likely a dead battery. My wife immediately tried calling Future Honda about bringing the car in for a battery check, but she had to leave a couple of phone messages. (It took 2 days to get a return call.) Instead, she acted promptly by taking the car to our nearby Les Schwab and they replaced the battery. After she picked up the car from Les Schwab I checked the paper work from Future Honda. It indicates the battery "REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION." Had someone in the service department been on the ball my wife would have had the battery replaced on 4/21. Instead she had to deal with a dead battery issue, which could have been a lot worse had she been on the road. Bottom line: When a report indicates a need for immediate attention, consumers should always be notified about the problem before they leave the shop. I would not recommend having your car serviced at Future Honda. read more

When I arrived I was on a little bit of a time crunch and Chris Bishop and his team did everything in their power to provide exceptional service and get me out on time. I've been going to this place since 2015 when I purchased my Honda CR-V from them new, back when they were called Maita Honda. Their customer service has *never* been good, even back then. But I always held my tongue considering I had invested in (or fooled into) an extended warranty with them, so the last thing I wanted to do is sour a relationship in which I'd have to continue to go to for the next 7 years or 120k miles, whichever comes first. I'm now finally past my extended warranty so I no longer feel obligated to utilize my "investment". With that said... Let's talk about "Future Honda". I've taken my car there for service a couple times since they switched names from "Maita Honda", and it's been, more or less, the same as it's always been. Tolerable. Dealerships have a reputation of being a hated industry for a reason - this one makes no exceptions, but it's serviceable if you're willing. Well today I show up for my 11:15am appointment for just a simple oil change and wait in the designated service line outside in the summer heat where it took 25+ minutes before even being greeted by a service rep. While preparing my work order into the computer, the service rep asks me if I needed a ride home. I asked, "for what? It's just an oil change, how much time are we talking about here?" He then tells me two and a half hours most likely (translation, so what, 3 hours plus in reality?). I said, "what's the point in making an *appointment*, if you're going to take that long - I've already waited 30 mins at this point to just get started!" He said, "well, you scheduled your appointment around lunch time"... as if this is all my fault?! Oh silly me! The service woman on the phone, the day prior gave me that time! And she said it would only take an hour, maybe an hour and 15 mins! So that was my final straw. You may think, if you don't like the service, well, then don't come back there anymore. And I'd say you're right, usually! But there are circumstances that people should be warned of. If you buy an expensive extended warranty, you have to know what the future you're instore for here at "Future Honda". How much is your time worth? Once he told me that BS, I had to leave as I didn't have hours extra over my expected "appointment" time. Is anyone going to compensate me for my time? What about the gas money it took to drive down to them from Rocklin? No. It's just a net loss for me and only me. Let this review be a warning to others as a way to manage your expectations with this dealership. "Appointments" and "estimated wait time" are a complete joke. It's never been great, but wow, Future Honda is pushing a bar lower that was already low to begin with. read more

I had one day to get a new car and went here, unfortunately. Test drove 2 cars during 4 1/2 hours spent mostly just sitting there waiting. When finally ready to finance that computer was down for about 30 min. Then I told the finance guy NO at least 4 times that I didn't want extended warranty and finally gave up and said ok I have now been back a few times to cancel it to lower the monthly rate. Did cancel yesterday, Walking out I ask what the rate will be now he said it will not change it will be taken off in the end. These people I dealt with here are not a friendly bunch, this is why car dealers have such a bad reputation. I have never in my long life had such a bad experience buying a car, I bought many in many life in different country's and this was the worst and I ended up paying much more then the car is worth. When you schedule someone for an appointment and they come in and then you say oh the parts not here we can't do it. You sent me a message to come in the day before confirming my appointment it wasted an hour of my time driving half hour each way, very disappointed in the service. You should know what people are coming in for and call and say your parts not in. We need to cancel your appointment. read more

Anyway, this was a super easy and fast transaction. They gave me a very fair and competitive price that I was happy with, and my old loan was paid out promptly and I received the balance a few days later.
