My absolute favorite hibachi spot! Every time I come to Fyhre Hibachi, I know I'm going to have an amazing experience. The food is always cooked perfect and the flavors are incredible. The chicken, shrimp, and steak are all delicious, especially paired with the vegetables. And that fried rice with their garlic sauce mixed with yum yum sauce wow! That combination is seriously something. You really can't go wrong with anything you order here.They also have a great lunch special that you absolutely cannot miss! It's a great option if you want to enjoy their amazing food at an even better value.They have a great drink menu as well, and I always enjoy getting a few drinks to complete the meal. Came here and thought it was going to be a bad start we got in at just 3 pm and waited about 13 minutes before someone even came and acknowledged us. We asked to have the lunch hour honored and we got some pushback but the manger honored it. I got the lunch sushi combo which came with a salad and miso soup. We went for dinner on Monday with a 7:00 PM hibachi reservation. We were seated by 7:04 PM, and our drink and food orders were taken by 7:15 PM. Our chef arrived at the table by 7:25 PM. For the kids, we ordered steak with noodles, steak with rice, and a side of noodles. My husband and I ordered the steak and shrimp with fried rice, and the steak and scallops with noodles. Unfortunately, the steak was very dry. It felt like a low-quality cut that hadn't been prepared with care; it was devoid of moisture and had a rubbery, fibrous consistency. Beyond the texture issues, there was zero depth of flavor--it tasted more like it had been steamed than seared on a grill. I hadn't been to hibachi in forever, so I made my family take me here for my recent birthday dinner. The staff was extremely accommodating, especially since we had a vegetarian in the group. They explained the menu options for him and surprisingly there were a decent amount of options. Ambiance of this place is very much a laid back hibachi restaurant. We kicked things off with sushi appetizers which were fresh and delicious, then our chef came out to confirm our orders and get the show started. If you're hoping for all of the traditional hibachi tricks, this is the place to go. The big starter fire, onion volcano and of course, having sake squirted into your mouth are all part of the show here. I went with the steak and shrimp entree and my steak was cooked perfectly, plus the shrimp was delicious. The fried rice and noodles were also stand outs. We just had our Christmas Party for work, in which hosted. We had 38 people - Fyhre was very accommodating ... But, when we went to set up in their private area 40 minutes before, after we confirmed the day prior if it was okay the worker - Yuki greeted us at the door telling us we could not set up until 15 minutes before because the workers were sleeping there as it is the rest area. We were told we would like to speak to the manager in which she stated he was not there and started yelling in Chinese and became extremely rude and hostile. Came here for a birthday dinner with a reservation and had a very unprofessional experience. Despite having a reservation, walk-in tables were seated and served ahead of us, and another table that arrived later received a chef first. Service flow felt disorganized from the start. Our waitress couldn't answer a basic menu question, rushed my mother while ordering, then disappeared and didn't return for about 20 minutes to take her order. Communication was dismissive and unnecessarily hurried. The chef was professional and the fried rice was good, but portions were small and the filet mignon was noticeably dry. An automatic service charge was added despite the ongoing service issues. When this was questioned, I was asked about tipping and then escorted to interrupt another table's dinner so staff could resolve a disagreement among themselves, something that should have been handled privately by management. Overall, the poor service coordination and lack of professionalism overshadowed the meal. This was not an acceptable experience for a special occasion and I would not return based on this visit. read more

Fyhre Hibachi has a nice selection of food but I only tried their lunch menu special with my friend. I've been told the food isn't bad and I decided to check them out. The parking lot is shared with various other stores but I didn't have any problem finding a spot. When we walked in, you can tell the restaurant is clean and it's nicely decorated. The music they were playing (Kpop) wasn't very loud and I was able to enjoy a very pleasant conversation with my friend. Although, I will say that the employees were very loud. The restroom is very clean but the floor was very wet when I was there. There wasn't any wet floor signs present. We ordered our meal and enjoyed a nice cup of hot tea. I'm not sure where they bought their tea but it was a very nice blend. It paired very nicely with our lunch. I ordered a single piece of sushi (salmon) which is $4 with my lunch special meal which is the three sushi rolls for $15 that comes with a salad and miso soup. First of all, the piece of salmon is larger than the average size of sushi but it wasn't fresh. I love spicy tuna and salmon so I ordered those. As this is the first time at Fyhre, I didn't want to risk ordering something else since I had assumed people would order this more often. In hindsight, I should've ordered two rolls because I was very full and struggled to finish the last few pieces of rolls. And of course, the salad and miso soup was enjoyable. The only complaint I had was that my salad was soggy and it made me wonder if they made it beforehand to prepare for a lunch rush. It wasn't very busy when we were there. My friend ordered the sashimi lunch and it came with different pieces of sashimi. I should've went with that! It was aesthetically pleasing and she really enjoyed it. It looked fresher than the salmon sushi. Her lunch was also served with a bowl of white rice. My overall thoughts on Fyhre Hibachi consists of the following: I won't order the salmon sushi again, they have very friendly and attentive staff, and a decent lunch menu. read more

Came here the other day to get some sushi before heading over to qzar. The place was packed for hibachi and regular dining, but thankfully we got a seat right away. It was relatively clean from what I could tell and the service was fast. We ordered a few apps, the gyoza were perfect but the boneless spare ribs felt a bit overcooked and definitely could've used more sauce. The sushi was really good. Packed with flavor and unique rolls. I would recommend coming here, but I probably won't be back for a while as it's not all that close to my house! read more

Came on a Monday for early dinner using a groupon voucher; $50 towards two meals. They are located in a small outdoor shopping area. Interior is modern, clean, and inviting. We were seated right away in the hibachi section. They have a bar area and regular table area. The bathroom has separate stalls and is clean. We ordered the sirloin angus steak and chicken hibachi entrees. Comes with soup, salad with dressing, white rice, veggies, 3 shrimp, and protein. Additional charge for the fried rice. The chef who did the hibachi gave the kids at the table balloon animal headbands to wear. My boy chose the monkey. The music in the restaurant was good. The soup has mushrooms in it, not a fan, but I tried it, and it was fine. The protein was cooked well, and the entire dish had good flavor. We also got an apple juice and ninja punch. The punch was tasty. Heads up: you can not get the happy hour prices at the hibachi section. You have to be on the other seating area. I found out after the bill came but had ordered from the happy hour menu. The bill came to just over $100 with tax and tip. I would return to try other items on the menu. read more

I love a good Habachi restaurant so I was definitely excited when my neighbors invited me to their night out. Upon entering, it was extremely noisy and crowded. There was a nice sized bar and patrons eating there and also tables for those not wanting Habachi style or waiting for it. We had a reservation and were seated within ten minutes of it. We ordered drinks at the bar while we waited. My mai tai was very strong, with seemingly low tier liquor. It seemed like they were short staffed in chefs, but ours was cooking within 15 minutes of our order. It took about 15 minutes from searing to place our orders so about 30 minutes to cooking. I ordered filet mignon and scallops. My neighbor had shrimp. We both ordered the fried rice. The fried rice was ok, not as good as I've had before though. My steak was not remarkable and the scallops were decent. My neighbor and I both had to go boxes. Overall, I found it way too loud and busy to really enjoy the experience. I also wasn't wowed by the food, which is what makes eating at a Habachi restaurant bearable. But that's just me. read more

If you're in the mood for some solid Asian fusion for lunch or dinner, specifically Japanese or Chinese then is your spot! My favs from here include the General Tso Chicken, Spicy Soba noodles w/ chicken, Teriyaki chicken and the Sesame chicken. All are equally delicious and portions are good. Miso soup and salad are served with all lunch specials. Aside from tasty food, another highlight of Fyhre is the fact that they follow special instructions and have no issues with them. For instance, when I order Soba noodles from here I always request that it be made spicy and for chicken and broccoli to be added. They always get it right! I'm not a sushi fan, but I've heard that their sushi is really good as well and worth trying. I have however tried their avocado rolls and they don't disappoint!! Another better than I thought Long Island location. Pleasantly surprised when our group of five walked in for a congratulatory, 'you're moving on to bigger and better things' brunch. I'm not a fan of Hibachi, too many disappointments on protein cook temps. But that's what the majority of our group wanted. They left it up to me, the resident Yelper, to find a spot. Having no clue, I checked with my Yelp Queens/LI peeps TC and Ray, and they came up with the idea of FYHRE. Thanks for the suggestion guys! Nice welcoming hostess upon our arrival. Vax protocols didn't seem as stringent on LI at the time. Though, all staff were masked and patrons masked while out of their seats. I was the oddball not ordering Hibachi, and stuck to my choice of apps only...Chilean Sea Bass skewers and Rock Shrimp. Both were perfect. Everyone else had a version of rice, double protein and veggies, which they too enjoyed. Nice, clean, lounge type atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service. No complaints from myself or the group. First time going here, we were seated quickly which was nice. We were a party of 8. We sat at the hibachi table. The food was delicious, we all had either salmon, chicken, steak & shrimp. Cant complain about the food but the service was definitely not good, the waitress hardly checked up on us. Racheal had a bit of an attitude with us girls, we informed her that the water given tasted like soap and bad in general , she said people have been complaining about it but that's what comes from the fountain. We never got better water, one of the orders was messed up they had to cook an extra steak when this was noticed & we had our plates sitting in front of us for the longest before she came to pick it up. The kids decided they wanted hibachi tonight, and so we said yes. The food tasted great. We each ordered our own choice of hibachi white rice & fried rice, filet mignon and lobster tails, steaks, shrimps, seabass. The chef was extra nice and so we tipped him separately in cash. She was basically demanding we put in our drink orders and then our meals. We were seated first so we were put on the side. I asked to be placed in the middle so my kids would get a better view, she said no, that's the order they seat the guests, fine. Then the guests in the middle left after ordering beers so I asked if we could move down, she said no, and then offered the other people at the end of the other side, WTF. The mom saw my face and declined. So she finally said we could slide over to the middle. She made a big deal since we didn't slide over in order, WTF. Her reasoning was cause she put the food in that order for the chef and we would be confusing him, EYEROLL, but fine. She messed up the order for the other family anyway so it wouldn't have mattered how I moved over since we are an Asian family and we share all our food anyway. I got annoyed at her demanding tone towards me and since heard her speak to the other waitress and chef in two different Chinese dialects, I picked one and started speaking back to her in Chinese rudely and she changed her tone. She didn't full change that rude expression on her face to a smile until I handed the chef a tip. Her attitude towards the other family (Hispanic) changed entirely when she saw that they shuffled seats to separate their kids and that they didn't give a tip to the chef. Like WOW. She started telling them their food order should've been their seats. SHE MIGHT BE ONE OF THE RUDEST WAITRESSES I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Then the bill came with a mandatory 18%. We paid it but I'm unhappy about it. I would've been happier if I had a choice on who gets the tip because it certainly wouldn't be her. If anything it should've gone all to the chef. He made an effort to make my kids smile. The dad from the other family read the receipt outloud, "extra tip? hell no." I chuckled at his expressive think aloud thoughts. read more

Tried this place for the first time on a Saturday night. The restaurant was very busy which is expected for a Saturday night. The restaurant however was extremely under staffed and the waitresses were extremely over whelmed and in a rush. The men's restroom also had no soap. We ordered a few appetizers which came out quick and they were decent. However the waitress barely came around to make sure we had water and we ordered green tea that wasn't green. I also ordered a drink from the bar and after 30 mins the drink never came so I reminded the waitress and she said the bar was busy and I had to wait and about 5 mins after that the drink arrived. The drink was mediocre and the alcohol was not properly blended into the drink. Then the sushi arrived and the lobster and shrimp tempura was cold and greasy and one of the rolls I got I didn't even order and the sushi overall was very mediocre. There were a few families there celebrating birthdays and when they sang happy birthday the restaurant began to blast extremely loud unpleasant music. There was also a dude that kept on walking back and forth hauling trash throughout the restaurant on a cart which was disgusting it literally happened every 5 minutes. I also ordered jumbo shrimp sashimi and the picture on the menu showed 2 beautifully prepared shrimps and what I got instead was one deep fried greasy cold nasty raw shrimp that had its whole body missing and was just a head with a little bit of meat cut out of the shell on the side that was rubbery and had no taste. The bar and lounge are separate from the main dining tables. Clean and spacious throughout the entire restaurant. We were excited initially, unfortunately our waiter killed the vibe - lacked patience in my opinion. I didn't get a chance to look over the drink menu and was asked for our drink order almost immediately after we were seated. Felt rushed during our ordering process. He was not attentive, had to wave him a few times during our meal. Our chef was quite entertaining. He put up a decent show for our kids and they enjoyed his performance. The food was average in my opinion. I was impressed by their special cocktail- fyre bowl. beautiful presentation and it was delicious.
