    Chicken cutlets mozzarella and peppers

Ordered take out sandwiches for the site. The sandwiches are huge and is made on soft semolina roll. The mozzarella and peppers were amazing. I'm not sure if they make the mozz in house but it was out of this world. The size of the sandwiches are tremendous. Can't wait to try their hot food

G&R is a decent sandwich shop I've honestly had better in various places in the Bronx. It was good nothing truly spectacular. Seems more filled with the "TikTok famous" gimmicks. The service is that of any Italian deli lol don't expect a warm happy greeting it's all business. The one bad part is because of their social media popularity you're going to wait 45 minutes if you're lucky for a sandwich, and it's small shop so you might be waiting out in the cold. It was a good sandwich not the best I've ever had. The day I went I had a chicken cutlet, hot soppressata, fresh mozzarella, balsamic glaze.

Came here for the viral meatball sub and we were completely satisfied and satiated by this enormous feat. We had a group of four and ventured here on Saturday afternoon for lunch. It was a quick uber from where we were coming from and upon arrival, we were surprised by the line going out the door. We discovered later that it moves pretty fast and that this might be a new thing since the regulars were not used to it. Between the four of us we got 2 meatball subs and two regular ones; the Bronx godfather and Romeo & Juliette. The sandwiches were loaded from the beginning to end with meat and surrounded by a deliciously fresh roll. I particularly loved how the meatball sub is wrapped in foil and placed in a cup preemptively because it can get saucy, ask for a fork to help you dig around before picking it up. Highly recommend this place!

The Famous Bronx Godfather hero ; so good !!!

First time trying this deli after reading all the hype. I was not disappointed, went with the Bronx Godfather hero which didn't disappoint. Stuffed with fresh mozzarella, capicollo, mortadella, prosciutto, supresotta, mixed greens and balsamic, it hit the spot! Interesting to hear a customer try to order a meatball hero and told that they only served the meatball ice cream cone because of a special bread they used.

Best sandwich board I have seen in quite some time. Most delis have up a Bosrs Head sandwich menu. These are all created in house by the owners. I wanted to try many so I will return. I was craving meatballs and decided to try theirs. Definitely an excellent Meatball tender well seasoned and great sauce 10/10 You can only order the Meatball cone (17.00) Big disappointment for myself. I just wanted 2 Meatballs and sauce. I also asked for Eggplant Parmesan in a dish . Now the man helping me huffed and said I don't know if we have any? Ok it was the day before thanksgiving and the line was out the door and not shrinking. Don't take that out on a paying customer. I got it though and am grateful. The eggplant was 6.5/10 as it was not ripe eggplant and some spots were raw even after reheating in the oven. Deli itself was loaded with imported Italian goods. Plenty of variety. If you live in this neighborhood it saves you a trip to Arthur. The deli is very narrow so be prepared to bump elbows . There are a few seats outside.

Traveled 1600 miles for this sandwich. And it was well worth it! Gosh darn one of the BEST sandwiches I ever had. Highly recommend!

I had to try these sandwiches! They were amazing! It's a small shop, but everyone is very friendly and efficient. There's so much to try it's hard to choose! We got two sandwiches, one with a chicken cutlet literally roasted red peppers and the other was rare roast beef with the fixings. Sandwiches are amazing! Love the seeded bread. Overall, worth the trip

Can for the viral meatball gone and it was pretty good, not the best I ever had but decent. What I truly enjoyed was the service- it wasn't busy- thankfully I came at a good time. Food was made quickly and before leaving I was asked if I wanted free food to go. Left with free chicken cutlets, lasagna, and hot sausage and peppers. It was a great experience.

The interior of Joe's is awesome, with the walls stocked with a great supply of Italian cooking fare. As you journey towards the deli counter you're immediately greeted with an offer to sample the fresh, house made mozzarella. Captain obvious pro tip: SAMPLE THE MOZZ To put it plainly, this was the best mozzarella I have ever had in my life, and I am someone who enjoys his mozz. It had a delicious milky flavor, was extremely smooth, and had a wonderful salt profile that took it to another level. It was truly amazing. I could go on about it forever, but in the essence of time... Our intent was to order 2 chicken parm heroes, but the man at the counter who gave us the mozz sample recommended the 'Brontese' and after reading the ingredients (Prosciutto diParma, fresh mozz, wild arugula, Sicilian pistachio cream, evoo, cracked pepper) I went for it. Needless to say it may have been the best deli sandwich I've ever had. The way the pistachio combined with the prosciutto and mozzarella-but didn't overtake it, was amazing. So to go along with my Brontese, we ordered a Chicken Parm, and a Bronx Bee (crispy chicken cutlet, hot honey drizzle, fresh mozz, sweet soppressata, hot cherry peppers, baby arugula) and loved them all. Outrageous value as sandwich prices are extremely reasonable. Awesome experience at Joe's. The staff was incredible...helpful, kind, and went out of their way to talk food with us. The location and atmosphere were perfect. And the food....you have to try it to believe it.

I wish they put more roasted peppers to give more flavor. There are several cutlets in that sandwich. Maybe trade one cutlet with more red peppers to add sweetness to the sandwich. I didn't taste any vinaigrette as described on the menu. I also had Con Ed: prosciutto, eggplant, arugula, mozzarella , sun dried tomatoes. This sandwich is tastier than DSNY. I recommend this one. The guy who helped me in my opinion was a bit pushy. He gave me a sample of cheese. It was really good. It reminded me of L'amuse Gouda. It's sweet, savory, like butterscotch. He tried to sell me a big piece. I asked for a small piece. He cut me almost a pound. I recommend to be more specific about the weight.

From the moment we walked in, it was all that I wanted- reminiscent of the Italian shops and delis my parents would take me to when I was a kid. The ambiance told me right away that the sandwich I sought (the 'Casa') was going to be good....as did the two guys in line ahead of me, one who went so far as to say it would be life changing. Service was great- super helpful and patient as we perused the counter. Wanting to be thorough () we ordered two Casa's....one on Ciabatta, and one on a hero. First off....both bread vehicles were incredible. The hero was crunchy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside, while the ciabatta was perfectly thin (allowing you to fully enjoy all of the fresh, delicious ingredients), with a golden crust. Just perfect. Oh yeah- the ingredients.... The Casa is filled with perfectly sliced prosciutto, house made mozzarella, sun dried peppers, and balsamic glaze. The balsamic tied everything together beautifully and was a wonderful touch to the sandwich, while the mozz....well...I'll say this... If you ask 10 people on Arthur Ave who makes the best Mozzarella around, and a good number of people are going to tell you it's Casa Della. And I'm here to tell you that their Mozzarella is the truth. It's delicious, creamy, flavorful...it's the kind of stuff that will have you standing in front of the establishment, Casa in hand (and mouth) without a care in the world, or whether or not people are staring at you while you scarf or down. It's that good. Also- prices are extremely reasonable, and you receive a ton of value for your dollar. Casa Della Mozzarella is not just the Casa. They are a fully loaded market and deli, loaded with everything you need, whether for a quick lunch on the go, or to supply dinner or your fridge at home. Definitely a can't miss, must check out spot.

There's only small space for one person to stand so it's very difficult to exit while there are people behind you. I highly recommend coming here early before the crowd.
