I've referred this shop to all my friends in the Houton Area whenever they are running into car-related issues. The staff members here are reliable and do their best to make sure you're getting the best deal. As a girl, I used to be afraid of getting scammed by car repair shops but this place is the complete opposite which is very reassuring. Right when you walk in, there is a sweet Korean Lady (the owner's mother) who greets you or the owner himself. The owner has great energy and is hilarious- always made me feel very welcomed. I will say the parking lot is a little small but this shop somehow manages to make it work. The interior has a good number of chairs for customers as well as a center table. That being said, it you are hoping to not have a long wait time, I would try to come here during opening or lunch time during the weekdays. While you are waiting for your car to get fixed, if you get hungry/thirsty, there is a vending machine for beverages and mochi ice cream for you to purchase. This place has helped me with oil changes, state vehicle inspections, and my friend's AC issues. The friends who have visited here from my recommendation all had nothing but great things to say about this auto shop! Just an FYI, if you are paying with credit card, there is a 3% service charge but if you're paying with cash, that is waived. October 20, 2020 they said my car needed another transmission. After they replaced the transmission 6 weeks later they said they also changed the brakes (which I did not authorize). As I go for a test drive down the road the rear wheel goes flying off and I almost slide head on in to a ditch. They said they have no insurance and transmission still not working. Piece of shit owner was very rude and unprofessional. I had to ask the owner guy(old guy with the glasses) to give me a ride after the shop is closed. Actually,he said he lives nearby where I live and offered a ride before I had asked him. But, suddenly he was getting angry with the Politics and the Religion and became an angry idiot. Very rude and ill mannered. I definitely don't recommend this shop and the owner guy doesn't deserve any customers. They don't necessarily do any good jobs either. I wouldn't go back. I came here for my car inspection the old man that had long hair was searching thru my car as my friend is sitting in passenger seat he asks if theres any drugs or alcohol in my car and checks thru my trunk inside and outside of my car. everywhere he can then tries to tell me my tires didnt pass and says he can do a blind eye but that i will have to pay him 40 plus the 25 for the inspection for his owner . Kevin, the owner, has a really fine attention to detail. I recently took my car in for body work to replace the fender and bumper and he did a great job. He even caught some other things behind the fender that also needed to be replaced due to damage and cleaned up under my hood for me. His prices are also very reasonable and he's really quick about communicating through phone calls. His English might be a little broken, but if you're patient with him and trust him he won't let you down. Would definitely recommend! read more

I took my truck to IMS auto 2 years ago and IMS Charged me 2400.00 to fix it. My truck is still sitting in my garage and hasn't run the day I drove home. Next day it would not start. I asked for my money back and they refused. His mechanics don't know what their doing. They replaced my carburator with the wrong one. They left the vacuum hoses without connecting them, because the carburator they installed did not have the ports to connect the hoses. All the replacement parts they installed where 4x the cost of Autozone and O'Rileys cost and they were the of the poorest quality. My biggest mistake was I paid cash for the repairs upfront thinking the one bad review wasn't a deal breaker and he seems nice enough. Warning if your a fool enough to go to this auto shop pay by credit card so you can contest the charges. Better yet don't go there! The only reason I'm writing this now is I'm still mad as hell and at least warn others not go there. read more

The owner of this shop is a very kind man, always breaks down the pricing for me and is transparent and honest. We took our car there for some work to be done since the shop was within a mile of our location. We requested updates on what ever issue there was with the car and never heard from them. We called each day at least 2 times and never got a straight story. We requested a quote on whatever the issues were and were told that the quote would be coming. With no response, we finally spoke to Kevin the owner and he indicated that the cost to repair an oil pan would 1500.00. We inquired about a warranty for his service repair and he declined to offer one. We decided to take the car to another mechanic. We informed Kevin and his co-worker and they said fine. When we came to get the car, they held it hostage and demanded $500.00 cash. We refused then they dropped their demand to $450.00 we refused since we did not request any work. Kevin then said he would not release the car without money. We then called the police to intervene. Do not take your car here. Dishonest and not worth the hassell. I brought my car here because it was close by and it sounded like something was loose in the transmission. When I called Kevin the next day, he said the muffler and the catalytic converter needed to be replaced. I said catalytic converters don't make that kind of noise and the dash light didn't come on for that problem. He said he had to order the parts and would let me know what the price would be. I stopped in the following day and the mechanic said he would only be replacing the muffler. Kevin called me later that day and said the job would be 1050.00. Say what??!! He priced the muffler job at 700 and a tuneup at 350. I said I didn't ask for a tuneup and he did not have permission to do it. Still another day later, the job was done. When I went to get the car, the bill was 745.00. Of that, the muffler was priced at 445.00. I am a claims adjuster for Allstate Insurance and there is no parts supplier that charges that much for a muffler. This shop appears to prey on women, charging outrageous amounts for their work. Run, don't walk away. I will never go back and will tell everyone to go somewhere else. read more
