Mrs. Texas and I are staying in a local Austin Holiday Inn as she has a very early flight out tomorrow, and this location is also close to my office as well. We decided to dine in as the traffic was horrible at check-in time. The dining area is very clean and the staff was very friendly. You get a 15% discount with a Yelp check-in which is very cool. Our waitress Lauren was totally awesome and she was spot on with every aspect of our dining experience. Thank You Lauren !!! They have somewhat of a limited menu selection but for the most part I think everyone could find something they like. Our meals were very good and reasonably priced. We enjoyed our dining experience very much. They also have a full bar that's open until 2 am. Worthy of a bookmark and a try if you're staying here, passing through, or you live or work near-by.

I only ate half, big size! One order will be enough for 2 kids!

10$ fresh breakfast, reasonable price at hotel. Coffee is free, deserve your trying! Great morning good.

Had an unplanned detour in Austin and decided not to leave the hotel due to the craziness going on so we settled into G Bistro for dinner and breakfast the next day. Service was a little slow both times because only one server was working, but it was not overly disruptive and we were impressed with how much the server was managing at once. For dinner we shared the Steak Nachos, Wings, and Philly Fries enjoyed them quite a bit. My only gripe was that the wings were a little salty. We ordered the Breakfast Slider Trio and Create Your Breakfast and enjoyed these a lot! Everything was hot and fresh! Small gripe was the peppers and onions on the potatoes were a little crunchy/raw but I didn't mind too much. Possibly the best hotel food I've had as I am skeptical and prefer looking outside for food. Prices were surprisingly competitive too! One small note is that 18% gratuity is automatically included on the check. This isn't a big deal for us as we normally tip in that range but examine your bill so you don't accidentally double-tip!

The G Bar and Bistro is located inside the Holiday Inn - Austin Airport hotel. I was a little weary about eating inside of our hotel, but it had been a long day of multiple delayed flights and we just needed to eat! At that hour, there were only a few people hanging out at the bar, so we took a seat at the counter too. The bartender was pretty attentive and we received our orders quickly. I opted to go with the Cowboy Club -- ham, cheese, over-easy egg, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes on toasted bread -- sounds amazing right? It was just as good as it sounds AND the sweet potato fries were so addicting. (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=o8ubK0bra_dZh24v-ihDow&userid=oNv22da6dEEq2w2gStsGug) In the end, taking our chances on the hotel eats was one of the best decisions on our trip -- convenient, reasonable, and most importantly tasty!

Happy hour review. Happy hour is 4-6 daily. They have 1/2 price draft beers and 1/2 price on select appetizers. Their selection of draft beers was impressive, and their prices were phenomenal - a good, strong Odell's double IPA was only $3 per pint during happy hour, for example. Service was friendly and warm. They also had a 'band' that would play songs at the table if you chose. Food was good overall. Mussels were very tasty with a delicious broth. The burgers were overdone but still juicy and flavorful. I highly recommend this place for happy hour. tip - this place is located within the Holiday Inn

Bryan is simply outstanding. This bartender is one of the best I've ever seen, he's consistent he's friendly, wonderful conversationalist, overall great guy. We haven't stumped him yet on a drink he could not make pretty amazing. He hails from California but landed in Austin Texas, go figure. We sure are glad he's here though great sense of humor and always a smile. Life is good...

It was a bit amusing since the restaurant was nearly empty when we arrived, aside from one table and only one other couple came in by the time we finished our meal.

I ordered the Cajun surf and turf (shrimp) on a bed of garlic noodles. Everything was cooked perfectly. The steak was crazy tender and well seasoned, the shrimp had a nice pop, and I could have JUST had a plate of noodles; they were that good. The Cajun sauce complemented everything well. Even the smattering of green beans, which were probably there to add color, were outstanding. The restaurant itself was comfortable ...which is a compliment. The parking was easy. The service was outstanding. The prices were ...lower than they should have been given how delicious the food was. I will definitely recommend CK Kitchen and Bar to my friends. We came here for a birthday dinner, but with Mother's Day and graduation around the corner, I can't think of a better spot. Well done, CK.

I usually only go to coffee shops to work, but today, went on a coffee date with my dog instead. There's ground floor parking in the garage that's complimentary for two hours. I kept it simple with a vanilla latte. I noticed they had tacos at the bottom of the food menu, but at $13.25 for two tacos + an a la carte item, I decided to pass. Maybe my expectations were too high (as usual) because it's inside a hotel, but I was hoping for the kind of warm hospitality hotels are known for, but instead, the service felt a bit cold. It didn't exactly make me want to spend more money there. While sitting on the patio, I spotted the food truck outside and thought, "PERFECT. A food truck HAS to be cheaper. Take that Simona's!" I walked up to the window... only to find out it wasn't actually a separate food truck. It was just the pickup window. To order? I had to go back inside to Simona's and place my order with the delightful staff... I ended up ordering two Blue Migas tacos, and honestly, they were just... good, but nothing memorable. They tasted like your average breakfast tacos that you can find all over Austin for less. Despite loving how relaxing the outdoor patio is with its lucious greenery surrounding you and the beautiful French chairs and cafe tables, it's located right next to the hotel pool. If you're visiting on a summer afternoon, expect some extra noise with pool guests. If you're looking for a quiet coffee or a place to work, I'd recommend coming early in the morning instead.

UPDATE: many reviews mentioned 4 hour parking, but this is no longer true - it is 2 HOUR parking the with a fee of $10 afterword. Not ideal for a remote working location for more than a short break. Matcha was one of the more expensive in Austin but solid. Food was great (got the birria tacos which were SO tender, although I did have a slight stomach ache right after - maybe just the grease). Went on a Tues during the day and there were many people working upstairs (quietly), but available seats for 2 or 3 ppl downstairs.

They're also located near a few other food trucks that are right outside which looked interesting, but were closed when I visited. I loved that they make their syrups in-house and there were so many good options that it made choosing a bit difficult. The barista was super helpful and even suggested mixing two syrups, which I thought was a really cool option to try. I ended up getting a latte with burnt sugar and vanilla syrup. The first sip was great, but as I kept drinking it, it tasted a bit more milky than expected which was honestly my fault. I asked for something not too sweet, so we went with just one pump of each syrup in a bigger 16oz iced drink. Next time, I'd probably stick with the standard three pumps and go with a smaller size so the flavors come through more. Overall, a really solid spot and I'd definitely come back to try some more flavors.
