Super fast and convenient. I called ahead of time and asked if anything was available for the same afternoon and was told no appointment was necessary. I drove there and they asked me to pull into one of the parking stalls, asked what service I needed (I only needed a smog check), they explained what they would take care of and what the cost would be if I passed or failed. Check-in on Yelp for a coupon on smog tests. The staff told me about this upon arrival so that was much appreciated! It's $40 for a smog test and $20 for a re-test. Service was quick and efficient. I came in on a Friday and my car failed the smog test. Staff told me what part needed to be fixed to pass the re-test and noted this on my receipt. I got said part fixed and on the following Tuesday my car passed and I could proceed with my 2022 registration. Also, G8 is STAR Certified. The process couldn't be easier at G8. My 1995 Tacoma failed and with 215k miles several shops didn't want to bother with it. The guy here took the time to heat up the catalytic converter and work with it to make it pass. I have TRD headers that were installed by Toyota and he knew exactly where to find the certification stamp. Again, other shops would usually tell me to buzz off. The shop is tidy and clean, and everybody there is professional and working hard. read more

Beware, it ripped off. Make sure to ask the cost and retest cost if your car failed for smog check. I had smoked check and it failed and they changed me $ 31.75 and $40 for retest plus certification which total about $70. Other shops change only $40 including certification. read more
