I happened by Gabacho while in Glendora and I saw their lovely outdoor seating and their menu. Once I saw their menu, I decided to try them for lunch, and I'm glad I did. The ambience is just lovely. Big plush booths inside, great music. The service was very friendly and cordial. But the food...because I was having lunch, I tried the BBQ burger, which was delicious. The salad it comes with was superb, it included fresh fruits and garnished with a flower. Instead of the French fries it comes with, I chose the gratin potatoes, which was delicious. I will definitely be coming back for another meal.

    Great lighting.

This is a nice, pretty French inspired place in a quaint side of town. I didn't eat here but the menu is extensive. Recently opened and based on my first impression it'll be around for a while. I had a beer. No food. Although the menu is extensive I just wasn't hungry. I will say that $9 for a blonde light beer is pricey. The gentlemen behind the small but nice bar were very nice. (I recommend having a couple of stools) Aesthetically pleasing and so clean. I'd come back and try food next time. Specially since they serve "Croquet Mesieur." If you know, you know. Hope you're all enjoying your summer.

We came back today and the service and overall experience was still top notch. Robert took our reservation and accommodated our 2 families. It was lovely to be able to reserve brunch time on a Sunday. We were looked after by Joseph! Joseph was attentive, very helpful and our other guests were late so he gave us some tips on menu items. We had some amazing food here again today. The presentation and quality were outstanding. We would definitely recommend a visit if you're in Glendora. Thank you for a great experience. Our friends who were visiting were impressed with the quality, ambience and service. A great establishment for Glendora!

Tried Gabacho for the first time a few weeks back for my MIL'a birthday dinner. The new decor is nice and so is the lounge area. We were greeted nicely by the staff and promptly seated. I would consider Gabacho a higher end dining choice for Glendora and with that comes higher expectations, at least for me. My experience was above average but could have been better, thus the 3 star out of 5. Here is my summary of the food and some photos. Started with the Escargot and the artichoke dip. Both were delicious. My MIL ordered the Salmon and it came with an AU gratin type of potato and salad. Salmon very good and sauce too, Salad was great. The crispy edges of the potato had parts that were very hard, almost unchewable The flavor was good though. I ordered the La Diabla pasta. It was really really nice with great flavor. My wife ordered the Onion soup which was so salty it was inedible. In hindsight we probably should have let the server know. I would order again to see if it was a one time thing because we love onion soup. Had the crème brûlée for dessert and it was very good. Service was great and we'll try again and order some different items. Give them a try, share your own experience. Note: edited my take on the chips based on chefs info. They are made in house!

New to the area. We tried it, and it was just ok? For the price point, it's a bit over priced. The food was half and half, in regards to there are bits we liked and bits we didn't like. We got the chicken mushroom, the chicken with mushroom sauce was great! The side of potatoes and super dry salad was just ok. Not worth the price, I would want like a bougie salad but was just a plain salad. The potatoes were like scalloped potatoes, it was small and generic. We also got this seafood pasta. The seafood was cooked well, but gave the tiniest piece of salmon with no skin. The cream sauce was so watery and the pasta was bland. Again, not trying to be that person but for that price point maybe fresh pasta or something. The dessert dish leveled it out. We got the crème brûlée French toast, that was superb. It was done well to where you don't even realize they used a French baguette as the toast instead of the usual brioche. I would recommend this dish. Because of this dish, we thought about maybe coming and giving a second shot at the breakfast because half the menu seemed like breakfast. Restaurant was clean, staff was nice and tentative. Manager was very active to some of the other tables. All in all, I don't think it's worth the price.

great new spot at the end of the downtown glendora strip. Got the lemon salmon with au gratin potatos. great food and a nice interior and sidewalk patio seating make this the perfect date night spot. friendly staff. Good to see a new place in town that does not disappoint.

Gabacho in Glendora Village is such a great addition to the area. The restaurant is beautiful inside with a welcoming, upscale vibe that works for both brunch and dinner. We started with an Arnold Palmer and strawberry lemonade both refreshing and well balanced. For food, the mango goat cheese salad was fresh with a nice mix of sweet and tangy. The Vache sandwich was the standout for me super soft, juicy steak with a rich mushroom sauce that brought everything together perfectly. The La Diabla pasta was also flavorful with a nice kick. We ended with the French toast, which was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside definitely a great way to finish the meal. Overall, a really solid dining spot with unique flavors. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu.

Omigosh, EVERYTHING WAS SO GOOD! A little pricey, but scrumptious. The ambience is lovely in a bougie way. Everyone in our party of 7 loved what they had. FYI, if you're going for frog legs I'd call and check first... I believe it's no longer on the menu

Made it out to Gabacho for their opening day dinner!!! Absolutely beautiful revamp on what was Glendora's Village Eatery location! Loved the warm lighting and decor and the beautiful wall murals. Would've preferred some sort of French café inspired music for the ambience, but instead we were listening to what sounded like wedding dinner music. He got the chicken breast plate with mushroom and it was plated beautifully!! The au gratin was delicious, but lacked a lil seasoning. The salad could of used more dressing. I ordered the carbonara pasta and it was rich, and creamy, with the egg yolk to mix in to my pasta. Our waitress was lovely and very attentive! And we enjoyed being greeted by Nelson, as well as Chef David! Been stalking Gabacho for awhile now on INSTAGRAM and I look forward to coming back for breakfast soon!!! Welcome to Glendora Gabacho!!! You were delicious!!!

Great tasting crepes from sweet to savory. Service is friendly and quick. It's a nice place to go and unwind, chill, enjoy the outdoors in their outdoor seating area or enjoy the inside area with nice decor. Staff is attentive and professional. Food presentation is beautiful. Will definitely come back again.

This steak omelette is delicious. That sauce was yummy.

This was my first time visiting, and I've been meaning to try this place for quite some time. I'm glad I finally did. The food was excellent. I ordered the artichoke dip and the steak omelette, and both exceeded expectations. The artichoke dip was rich, flavorful, and a great way to start the meal. The steak omelette was delicious, the steak was tender and cooked perfectly, and the sauce really brought everything together. It was easily one of the highlights of the meal. The ambiance is comfortable and inviting. The exposed brick walls, lounge-style seating, and overall character of the restaurant give it an authentic feel that makes you want to sit down, relax, and enjoy your time there. What stood out to me most, however, was the difference in hospitality among the staff. When I arrived, Adriana saw me walk in but never greeted me and instead, walked past me. After I was seated, she walked past my table several times, looked in my direction, but never smiled or acknowledged me. My server, who unfortunately was not wearing a name tag, was helpful and took care of what I needed, but the interaction felt more transactional than welcoming. Then there was Ivan. Even though I was not seated in his section, he stopped by my table, greeted me with a smile, checked on me throughout my visit, and made me feel welcome. At the end of my meal, when he saw I had placed my credit card on the table, he came over to make sure everything had been taken care of, asked how my experience was, and even encouraged me to bring my family back. Those may seem like small things, but they make a big difference. I believe this restaurant deserves to become a staple in the Old Town Glendora community. The food is certainly good enough. The ambiance is certainly good enough. The opportunity is in making every guest feel like they're being welcomed into an extension of the owner's home rather than simply being served a meal. People may come in for the food, but they come back because of how a place makes them feel. That said, I am still happy to give this place 5 stars. I genuinely enjoyed my visit and will absolutely be back. Running a restaurant is not easy, and finding great people is not always easy either. My comments are shared because I want to see this restaurant succeed and become a place the community embraces for years to come.

Made reservation for Friday dinner and glad we did, as the place was quite popular and almost every table was full. Gabacho has been open for less than two months and still working on kinks but has lots of promise. We had seafood risotto, salmon tacos, la diabla pasta and salmon ala almendra. The diabla pasta was quite spicy and lots of meaty ingredients. I requested the seafood risotto without cheese, lots of seafood though the rice tasted less than arborio and more like calrose rice. Salmon ala almendra was very large portion though a bit overwhelming with the sweet orange sauce. We shared a creme brulee, tasty and reminded me more of a crema Catalun. Overall, we enjoyed our meal at a nicely decorated restaurant.

We have passed by many times and today I am so glad we decided to stop. Everything was delicious; perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The omelet was full of fresh vegetables and had just the right amount of spice. The crepe was thin, buttery, and beautifully made, filled with vegetables that were still crisp, and full of flavor. The goat cheese and candied walnuts were a perfect combination too. The service was friendly and attentive, and our booth was cozy. The copper water glasses were a nice touch as well, keeping the water nice and cold. It all made for a great breakfast. We'll definitely be back and wish we hadn't waited so long to give this place a try

The escargot is probably the best I've had. I loved how buttery it was and the snail itself was so fresh and tender. I'd definitely repurchase this on another visit. I even dipped some of the baguette bread (which had the best crunch!) into the butter and it was perfection! For our mains, we got the sea bass with lentils and the Alaskan halibut, and both were prepared perfectly down to taste and texture. Everything about its execution felt very intentional. The halibut was baked with the right amount of breading and the sea bass was pan seared to give that nice crispy texture to the skin. My only critique is I thought the lentils were a bit too overpowering because of the huge quantity, but honestly, everything else was amazing enough that I'm not bothered by it.

The French onion soup was warm and decadent while the beef was tender and seasoned well. The pot de creme was a generous portion and I couldn't even finish mine! Which was too bad because the dark chocolate paired with the chantilly cream was exquisite. While I have absolutely no complaints about the food, I do wonder when they will address the ventilation issue. We dealt with this in the past and thought nothing of it but when we started sweating into our first course because no air was coming by, we realized it was a problem. Additionally, the service was impeccable. Kinan and the team did everything they could to make us feel welcome. However there was a young hostess with pink hair and the most beautiful, ethereal face who upon our arrival looked at us with an expression of disapproval. I could've been just reading her wrong or she could just be one of those Gen Z people who refuse to smile and just want to be transactional but I don't know...in such cramped quarters, everyone's nonverbal cues are thrust upon you. Highly recommend Perle although we'll probably return in the winter when it's much colder.

I first brought her here when she was just a few months old. Now she's preparing for college. Walking inside feels like stepping into a cozy neighborhood French bistro. White tablecloths, soft neutral tones, chandeliers, and fresh floral centerpieces create a calming and elegant atmosphere. Let's talk about the prices. The menu is still the same, but the prices have increased quite a bit in just a matter of months. If you haven't been here in a while, take a look at the menu before you return so you don't get sticker shock. To me, some dishes is double what I remember paying. At the same time, the portions are a little smaller. One thing to keep in mind: La Vie is only open for dinner, from 5:00 PM. to 9:00 PM. I also highly recommend making a reservation. The dining room fills up quickly, especially on Friday and Saturday evenings, so planning ahead will save you the long wait or perhaps being sent away. Dinner time. Every entrée comes with a house salad, soup of the day, and complimentary coffee or hot tea. As I order hot tea everywhere I eat, that little perk is heaven. For our appetizer, we shared the Escargots de Bourgogne ($19). The escargot was fresh, tender, and chewy. Every piece soaked up the garlicky herb butter. They also provide complimentary Vietnamese baguette. The baguette arrives warm with a lightly crisp crust and a soft, fluffy interior. But the real magic is dipping it into the bubbling garlic butter from the escargot. For my entrée, I ordered the Herb Butter Lobster Tail ($56). The presentation was beautiful, but the lobster itself didn't quite live up to the presentation. It was bland. My daughter ordered the Pan-Seared Chilean Sea Bass ($46), and that ended up being the star of the evening. She loved it. The skin was crisp while the fish remained moist, flaky, and buttery. For dessert, we ordered the Crème Caramel (Flan). The server told us the chef offered it on the house due to presentation reasons. But I strongly believe it was because when they asked if my daughter and I were new customers, since they had changed owners, I told them I had been coming to this restaurant for over two decades, and that I brought my daughter here when she was still in a stroller. The owners may have changed, but I believe the chef is the same and he probably recognized me. Either way, it was a great treat. Thank you. The flan was silky smooth, creamy, and topped with a rich caramel sauce that wasn't too sweet. The servers have always been attentive, professional, and welcoming. Our dinner for two came to about $160, including tax and a 20% tip. See you in my next Yelp adventure.

Our favorite French restaurant, Le Gourmet in Upland closed in 2024 or 2025 so we needed to find a new French place. The lamb loin in lingonberry sauce was wonderfully complex with the savory cheese complemented well by the sweet lingonberry. The escargot was perfect. The only caveat was that we tried the pastries of the day -- one was a puff pastry, forgetting the flavor/name and some kind of cake, maybe Napoleon? We did not care for the desserts at all, if I were to get another dessert I'd probably stick with the crème brulée. The bread and salty whipped butter were delicious, seemed house-made? The bread was slightly sweet and I had to hold myself back from gorging on it. Parking: Parked in a nearby garage for $20. I think there was an event going on.
