One of my friends brought me here, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover what a cute cafe brunch spot we have right here in La Verne! Like, basically every corner was so picturesque! Since we were on a bit of a time crunch, we only ended up getting lattes. I got the Banana Breeze, while my friend got the Spanish Latte. I really enjoyed the banana and chocolate combo! Such a great way to keep your morning going :) Anyways, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and trying their Coffee Flight and one of their breakfast items!

Great service and delicious food! We tried the signature coffee flight and it was a great experience to try. I got the bacon avocado benedict, my husband got the crunchy french toast combo, and my sister got the Belgium waffle. The food was delicious and our waitress was extremely welcoming since it was our first time there. She shared recommendations, informed us at the end about their reward system, and gave us an insight about Haven Haus Cafe. Side note: Even though we came at around 7:30 am on a Sunday, the restroom was nice and clean. The decor and the theme they have going on is so cute

I'm usually not a benedicts guy. That's reserved for my esteemed colleague, Breanne, who has tried converting me to the cause for three odd decades now. I don't know--give me a great skillet or hash any day, especially if it features some odd beast or fowl like goat, buffalo, or quail. But every so often a benedict catches my eye by putting forth something new and something different. I've had benedicts with pulled pork and meatloaf before. I've even had one with blue crab. Yet I don't think I've ever had a benedict with good 'ole birria before. And it was great. All that was missing was some consomé for dipping the monstrosity into. Otherwise, every bite was massively flavorful, every chunk of beef was tender and tremendously savory, and every ounce of the poached egg yolk was silky. It's just a great dish. The service was good. The server was a little slow in the refills of coffee, with me having to ask for it instead of him just seeing the quarter full cup and offering to refill it. It was the same check, with my credit card hanging out in the check folder for eight minutes before anyone came by to ring it up. But otherwise the sserver was personable, if not super warm. The ambiance was okay too. It seemed more spacious than its sister restaurant in Ontario. I also had an easier time getting in, probably because I went after opening instead of closer to 9 a.m. All that mattered was the noise was very respectful and I didn't feel fenced in by a throng of people. All in all, this is another breakfast option in the area and that Birria Benedict is an option to consider now.

Looking for a new breakfast spot close to home, my wife and I came across this gem and it didn't disappoint. Arriving, we were greeted instantly with friendly service and waited to be seated and it was fairly quick. While being seated that staff was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was vibrant and electric for a Monday morning. The food was TASTEFUL!! It did not disappoint! Definitely coming back here in the future.

A Welcoming Early-Morning Breakfast Gem in La Verne Haven Haus Cafe in La Verne is the perfect spot for an early breakfast, opening at 7:00 a.m. We stopped in during our morning walk and had such a wonderful first visit--from the cool, inviting atmosphere and thoughtful details to the delicious food and excellent service. The ambiance is welcoming and stylish, with purse holder stands at many of the tables. It's a small detail, but it's both aesthetically pleasing and genuinely useful. Our server, a very kind young man, Dominick - I hope I spelled his name correctly - made the experience even better. He was helpful, kind, and thoughtful. I especially appreciated that when I ordered the coffee flight, he prepared it half-sweetened. Since I'm not a fan of overly sweet drinks, it was perfect. The breakfast tacos were delicious and very filling. They come with two, and I could only finish one! I also ordered a pancake on the side and managed to eat only half because it was so large. My partner ordered sausage links and eggs with hash browns and was especially impressed with the hash browns. They actually tasted like potatoes, unlike at some breakfast spots where hash browns can be overly greasy or taste like the griddle needs a good cleaning. These were genuinely enjoyable. I highly recommend Haven Haus Cafe to anyone looking for an early-morning breakfast in La Verne, especially early risers, morning walkers, and diners who appreciate a welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful service, fresh and hearty, flavorful food.

First time here. A clean and very cute instagrammable brunch spot. There are both indoor and oudoor patio seating. Located in a plaza so plenty of parking. There was a 50 minutes wait for our party of 2 so we opted for the patio for immediate seating. Thankfully it wasn't too bad considering it was a very hot day. It would be nice if they had some fans though. Our server, Hayden, was very friendly and helpful. She checked about substitutions for us. My friend and I each ordered a coffee flight. My Classic flight was okay; nothing spectacular (guess it's expected since it's just classic coffee flavors). The girl who brought it out didn't even tell me what each one was. At least she informed us of the drinks in the Signature Flight. We both shared the Brunch Board since it looked interesting and had everything we liked. It was a lot of food for us. We had to box some home. Overall good food with good company. I'll have to return to try their other menu items.

Came here with a girlfriend and enjoyed our time here! Haven Haus is a new addition to La Verne with other locations in Temecula and Rancho Cucamonga. There is indoor and patio seating, and because I asked for first available, we were able to get a seat in the patio immediately. Inside the restaurant, the ambiance is super cute and very IG worthy, very feminine vibes with lots of floral decor and neon lights throughout, cute chandeliers, targeting the brunch lovers (Like me and my friend!)! The menu is focused on breakfast and lunch items and even has a QR code to scan if you are interested in hosting a private event here. They have all kinds of fun drinks, and I LOVE that they have different kinds of flights - from classic and signature coffee flights, energy refresher flights, and mimosa or margarita flights. Hayden was our server and she was delightful. My friend and I were interested in getting the breakfast board to share and she was helpful in letting us know what substitutions could be made on the board. While my friend got the classic flight, I got the signature coffee flight. While they were all good, and they were so cute to look at, the creme brulee latte was my favorite! The breakfast board itself was a generous portion of pancakes, waffles, french toast, eggs, sausage and bacon and fresh fruit. More than enough for the both of us! It was pretty basic stuff so you can't really screw it up, but it tasted fine - nothing extraordinary, however the presentation was very cute. I would definitely come back and try something more unique to see how it stacks up to other brunch places I've enjoyed. The only negative is the restroom, it's the weirdest layout. There's a door that enters into a double sink area, and a second door that opens outwards to one toilet stall - super irritating. Watch out or you can whack someone when trying to enter/exit the toilet. Ladies already have to wait a long time for the restroom, doesn't help when there's a line by the sink, only to have to have everyone back up out into the hall to try and let the other person out. I think the door was installed the wrong way and should've opened inward like most bathrooms. They need to get that fixed ASAP.

Brunch with my husband, as we didn't know if they had kid options (we planned this on a day they were with grandma). They do have a small list of choices for kids, breakfast and lunch options so that was good to know. Weed outside, it was decorated really cute. The hostess and our waitress were very friendly and welcoming. My husband ordered the steak and eggs and it was a pretty good size plate. It was steak, eggs and hashbrowns with a side of toast for $25. I ordered the chicken and waffles with country potatoes. The country potatoes were so delicious. They had bell peppers and onions & were seasoned perfectly. The chicken seemed like it was hand breaded. It wasn't too thick. It wasn't too crispy. It was perfect with a perfectly golden waffle and some spicy aïoli sauce. It was delicious! We will definitely be back soon!

I met a friend here for brunch around 11 a.m. on a Sunday, so we expected a wait, but it ended up being a little longer than anticipated. The waitlist estimated 25-30 minutes, but we didn't get seated until about 45 minutes later. We both ordered the Signature Latte Coffee Flight, which is such a fun idea, but it ended up being a bit underwhelming. Out of the four, the Café de Olla was definitely the standout. We were also a little confused because the drinks tasted more like cold brews than lattes. For food, we ordered the Chicken & Waffles and the Biggie Bagel. My chicken was nice and crispy, but slightly dry. The waffle fries were really good, and I especially liked the sauce that came with the dish. My friend enjoyed her bagel, but it was served on a plain bagel instead of the everything bagel listed on the menu. Overall, Haven Haus is a decent brunch spot. They have a wide variety of menu options, so most people should be able to find something they'll enjoy. Parking was easy, which is always a plus. What really stood out was the service. Despite how busy they were, our waitress was friendly, attentive, and checked on us often throughout the meal. The food didn't completely wow us, but the great service definitely made for a pleasant experience.

Super cute spot! My friends and I went on a weekday when they first opened so there was no wait. I love the decor and the ambience screams brunch with the girls. They have a huge menu. The food came out fast and hot just how I like it. Portions were a good size and everything was delicious. I ordered their popular chilaquiles and my friends ordered their crunchy French toast with berries and Belgian waffles. I will definitely come back! So glad they opened by us!

Decided to try this place for brunch on a Saturday. The wait for 2 people was about 35minutes. The inside is bright and cute. Service was warm and super fast. Got the signature coffee flight with almond milk and the breakfast board to share. Of the coffee flights, we really enjoyed the Spanish and Smores one (other two were too sweet). The board is a lot of food but extremely carb heavy (comes w waffles, pancakes, and French toast). Overall, we really enjoyed our meal and would come back to try other foods!

First time coming here and it was to celebrate our 5 year anniversary! Yasmine was our server and she was so friendly, gave tasty recommendations, and praised us for our art! We got the Brunch Platter and there was so much food we made a beautiful woman with the leftovers. Definitely recommend here! Fun vibes, decor, tasty food, and friendly staff! :)

There's a ritual I do whenever I order a two or three egg classic breakfast where I leave the up…read moreeasy eggs for last, combine them with a good pile of hash browns, and some of the meat. And then I just mix them up for the last five to eight bites. It's heavenly, combining the best parts of the breakfast into a mash that is more delicious than its individual components. I call it the Grand Finale. And I've done it all across the country in dozens of cities in hundreds of restaurants for decades now. But it takes really good runny and sunny eggs that haven't been overdone or else the ten to twenty minutes of eating everything before the Grand Finale is just going to leave the eggs hard and unusable. It also takes some good meat that not only will be flavorful on their own but also blend well with the mush. And lastly, it takes a good set of hash browns that isn't overly crispy or overly mushy. Roberta's Village Inn has all of that and more. That was one of the best Grand Finales I've had in years. Usually I don't do it with gravy because the country gravy tends to overpower everything else. But the country-fried steak with gravy didn't do that at all. It blended right in with all the other tastes. So too did the eggs remain remarkably running, all the better to be mixed at the end. And, of course, the thin-cut hash browns was plentiful, seasoned (by me), and, mostly importantly, crispy enough on top and bottom, while remaining soft (but not mushy) within. It was the Perfect Storm of a Grand Finale. The service was great. My server took extra care of me, even when I made the mistake of not noticing the food joint was cash only. I took it all in stride. She not only checked on my just frequent enough but was extra helpful in getting me refills, to-go containers, and the check when it was appropriate. The mood and style of the place was classic diner and I dug it. All ever want is a place to chill in with good food, that isn't overly pressured to kick you out for turnover sake. I was about to say it's kind of a small dining room, but when I went to the ATM I saw they have a whole other dining room that must be for when the place starts jumping for the breakfast rush. I'm assuming that's their busiest time judging by how memorable my breakfast plate was tonight. Overall, I already want to come back during breakfast hours and witness the majesty and awesomeness of this food joint when it's fully operation. I'm betting that's really going to be something to see.

The wait staff seem to only be friendly to the usual customers. The only part of the meal that we actually enjoyed was the Bacon. Not only was the service bad but behind the counter looks dirt and dusty. This is a spot I will never return to.

The coffee tastes like a clean, bitter, cold brew with a foamy top. (Important: Bring Cash. There's a 4% Cash Discount.) I arrived at Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) on Thursday (around 12:13PM). Parking is simple but busy. There's a side lot for customers; sign says, "2 Hour Parking." Staff is courteous, no-nonsense, and diligent. Staff worked hard. Staff quickly answered all my questions. My coffee took about three minutes. Good time. As mentioned, I ordered the Nitro Cold Brew ($9 - Large - 24oz). The coffee is very standard. It tastes exactly like any imagined cold brew coffee. Personally, the roast tasted a little burnt, but it's a common, familiar coffee flavor. The strength was weak for a nitro, but the HUGE SIZE and affordability balances it all out. This is a functional, budget drink. On ambiance, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a HUGE success. There's a lot of utility. The location has a self-serve water station, public internet with no password, stacked high chairs for children, two game corners (ex: Chess, Giant Connect 4, Giant Jenga, Uno Cards, Etc), and about one available electrical outlet. I also appreciated the retro, upbeat music and 1930s movie decor. In addition, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) has plenty of seating. There's about four interior tables, but there's also 16 outside patio tables. The location is clean, well-maintained, and well ventilated. Overall, Rail Side Cafe (San Dimas) is a good, local neighborhood spot. It offers affordable choice that are prepared "good enough." I wouldn't drive a long distance for this spot, but it's a decent option if you're already nearby. 4.5 out of 5
