Having worked with them for 2 years, I now realize most of these reviews are either (1) 5+ years old or (2) from people who work there - Alex S, J M, etc. I spent about $120k and the last 2 years on a 4-bedroom remodel with Letter Four. I have *nothing* to show for it. No plans, no permits, nothing. Just a home that I cannot live in with some holes in the walls and ceilings (they just enough minor demo that I can't live there and then they disappeared - fun!) What I do have are shady invoices (they pad their invoices, double-charge you, refuse to send you receipts even after you ask 5x, charge you for everything they can with a 20% markup - Ubers, printing fees, software fees, etc). What really bothered me is that they pay their Project Managers almost nothing and then they charge you $200/hr for those PMs work. When I tried to do calls with them to understand the invoicing, instead of listening and admitting their mistakes when they very clearly double-charged me for the same things - they yelled at me. The owner Jeremy talked over me the entire call. (To his credit, he did apologize for not letting me get a single word in - he said something like "I've been told I do this to women"). If you want to work with two really arrogant people who want to talk a lot about how great they are and how right they are but won't listen - by all means, sign up to work with these folks. The work itself isn't just subpar and sloppy - it's actually unusable. They were constantly making mistakes - you'd send them measurements and then get the plans and everything would be the wrong size. I never got a window schedule that had windows that matched the plans. They never got approval for a permit for the plans they created. They made so many mistakes, it's laughable. I hired a new Engineer and Contractor who both can't stop cracking up about Letter Four's work. "This isn't even to scale! Look, they have the downspouts at the highest points of the roof! Look at this - that part must be a joke, right?!" For the prices they charge and how arrogant they are about their experience, they deliver really sub-optimal work. They claim their high hourly fees and high-end rates will make your remodel easy for you - but I found that working with them is 5x more work than with my new contractor. (Message me if you want his info - he's *amazing*). Finally, their design aesthetic is really cheesy. It doesn't match any of the photos in their portfolio. All their design proposals felt something you'd see in a cheap flip. It was a total waste of money to pay for a "design + build" firm because I ended up designing every inch of it myself. Another reviewer called them "awkward" and I 100% found that to be the case. Their online portfolio is great, but actually working with them is a total nightmare on every level. Most people don't love their contractors - but you will LOATHE these people. I guess if you want some cool horror stories about your remodel, this is the company for you!

He was the only one who gave us a real timeline and budget and then actually held to both -- no excuses, no creeping costs, no moving goalposts. Our timeline was tight and we had several builds going on simultaneously which led to a lot of parallel work requiring tight coordination on Neev's crew. Every time something went wrong, Neev was already working on a fix before we even had to ask. He talked to us like a partner, not a vendor -- texted and called back fast, explained things honestly, never let us feel like we were in the dark. Honestly, at some point he stopped feeling like "our contractor" and started feeling like family. He and his team showed up on their days off, unprompted, because they wanted to see us in our house sooner. I don't know many people who'd do that. Spent a long time researching which flooring to get to replace a 25 year old laminate in our…read morekitchen. Found one by Karndean which seemed perfect. Elite was listed on their website as a local dealer and they got excellent reviews on yelp. So we went to the store and met with Robert. He spent good time with us to show us lots of things to consider. We wanted a larger sample of the one from karndean which he ordered along with a couple others. Sample came within a week and we took it home and made our choice to go with our original pick. Robert came out and measured and gave me a really good quote for the product and installation. Normally I shop around and did get one other quote, but I let AI do some research for me and I know his price was excellent and the service we got from him made it the easy choice. We needed to have transition pieces to match our vynyl laminate wood plank in the adjoining room that this would butt up against, and were having trouble finding that. Robert asked for us to bring in a sample which we had of our planking and he actually had a trim piece made to order with a color match that worked perfectly. So lots of prep work on his part to make sure it would all go well. The installation was scheduled within a week of getting the trim piece in. It was a 4 man install team and the lead guy ( forgetting his name) was really great. You could tell he knew his stuff and we were being fussy customers. My wife is very keen to make sure that patterns of the terrazzo floor didnt look repeated or in a weird pattern so he happily worked with her to move pieces around till she was happy. He cut certain ones and not others based on what she wanted and then marked them in with tape and order number so the guys knew where it all went together like a puzzle with a guide. Im sure they can do a good job without the micro managing but its also good to know they were happy to have us be involved and had no attitude about it (which I have gotten from some other contractors). so thats a big plus in my book. They were really good on the old sub floor prep, cleaning , sanding and putting a new thin coat layer on the entryway area which had plywood so make sure it was all level. They did this the right way and you could tell. And the new floor is SO much quieter than the old one and it doesnt have any extra backing. Turned out to be a great choice. The whole install job came out perfect. They got new oak 1/4 round to match our oak cabinets and did perfect measurements, cutting, sanding and sealing on them all. Guys were super clean during and after as it took an an extra 1/2 day to do. But all really turned out fantastic. So glad to have a place that is local, and knows what they are doing and the prices seemed in good and line with what I was looking for. highly recommend you check them out for your flooring needs and they do countertops too.

I used Elite Floorcovering to refinish the wood flooring in my house. Elite sent Eldon who was…read morethorough and an absolute professional. I have to admit I wasn't sure what to expect when I began the project. The flooring at the house was quite worn in places and had the older orangey finish that was popular in yesteryear. Over the course of a few days, Eldon completely transformed the flooring in the house. Worn spots were sanded back into new. Eldon recommended a Bona Natural finish which brightened up the floor which in turn has made the entire house brighter. He also took the time to drive all over town to find the precise sized wood to fit one plank of wood that been overly damaged over the years. I highly recommend Eldon and his team for your refinishing needs. They transformed my flooring. Eldon was also always patient in answering all my questions as well as explaining what they would be doing over the course of a day.
