Gaetano's is definitely unique, that's for sure. If you want to purchase a large cheesesteak, you're going to get much more than you bargained for, that's for sure--expect something massive. Of course, there's nothing wrong with that; if anything, it's a gift from the gods above. Their pizza is incredibly good; it has a unique flavor that you're not going to find anywhere else. I really love it, to be honest. Management has always been utmost kind to me. I find them to be very nice, unlike some of the other people who've reviewed this establishment. Perhaps they were just biased and writing based off a bad experience. Nevertheless, give this place a try. The only downside is that it's takeout only. Call to place order this evening, answers all short, give address "Sorry, not delivering there tonight", attempt to explain I'm placing a large order, was hung up on before getting it all out. Mixed feelings about this place... The portions are huge, but some of the food is bland. If you order the right stuff out can be quite good, but there are some real "gotchas'" on the menu. For example, because the rolls are so thick and huge and there is so much meat on the cheesesteak, it seems there is never enough cheese to balance it out. But, the cheesesteak wrap has less meat and bread and is really good because of the better balance. The pizza cheese is bland and adding more of it does not help. It also tends to float to one side of the pie because of too much sauce. I got a sicilian once it was a huge mess. Salad, gyro, wings, poppers, grilled cheese and tomato, and most hoagies (except Italian) are delicious. The hamburgers are awful. I would recommend starting small and see if you like it. If your taste buds are more sensitive than mine (kids perhaps?) this place could be a real bargain for you, especially for parties or if your fridge had lots of room for leftovers. read more

It was the worst Sicilian pie I ever tasted. They actually took Neapolitan pie dough, stuffed it in a square Sicilian cooking sheet and literally through it in the oven. The cheese and tomato sauce was spread unevenly, the dough was very thin and the pie was super oily. This was the second time my girlfriend and I ordered from this place. This place gets 5 stars only for it's steak sandwiches. I got food there yesterday, and everything else was par or below. The prices are expensive and the place itself is a dive, which is odd considering their Grant Avenue location is so nice. Parking is horrible. I can't say enough about their steak sandwiches though. They are freakishly huge and delicious. They are expensive, but consider the amount of meat you get as part of the price. I thought I'd try this place out today (it's on my work commute). I was looking for a really good cheesesteak and boy did I find one. Three sizes, I got a small, with mushrooms, and it was perfect for me and I am a big guy 250lbs. It was on an Italian seeded loaf bread (huge) with a lot of meat! It was so full and it made me so full I couldn't finish it! FRESH mushrooms not canned, 3-4 slices of real american cheese and on a fresh roll. I love Gaetano's steak sands! Excellent buffalo chicken cheesesteak. Super fresh bread and hands down best I've ever had. Chicken fingers are more like filets. Huge portions and nice people. We always order delivery which comes quickly and hot. However, i do agree with the other reviewer that hot and cold items should be bagged separately. I much prefer the original Gaetanos in Willingboro but live closer to this place. Was much better when first opened but noticed during last visit that portions are smaller and taste is meh. The only good thing about this place is the amount of food you get for your price. The taste is subpar and for the third time I was forced to order from there this evening. They put their salads in the same bag as the hot foods. I just received my incorrect order, my hot wilty salad and of course they forgot my dressing for the third time. I would call them up and return it but since I am a guest in this location I would hate to think that spit or some other revenge would end up in my hosts food the next time they order their hoagie from there. Recommended by my uncle as i was fishing for a good place to get him a gift card for his birthday. My huzband and i each got a cheesesteak and mozzerella wedges. Everything was fantastic! The seeded roll my cheesesteak came on was an excellent surprise. I'll probably never want a regularr italian roll again! Will definitly be ordering from here again. I had friends out on my boat and they stopped here to pick up some hoagies for everyone. After trying them I had to know where they got them from because they were amazing. They're huge, tasted very fresh, and not a bad price for the size! I found the place myself yesterday and the best part is they said they'd deliver to the marina. Great food but unfortunately professionalism not the same. I ordered delivery last night for dinner and when the food was delivered both sandwiches were incorrect. The slip even had the right sandwiches. So I called and told them they were both wrong and they said they will send out the right order. 30 minutes later food is delivered and the delivery guy only has one sandwich. I called again and the manager got nasty with me and said we are not delivering anymore food and if I wanted the other sandwich I would have to pick it up.
