My favorite Thai spot in Irving! Throughout all the restraunts I've had during the pandemic, this has been by far the best in terms of customer service. I had ordered take-out from the restaurant and arrived 5 minutes early prior to the food being completed. Found this gem on Belt Line Rd in Irving. Great little Thai place. I ordered the Peanut dish with chicken, spice level 5. This is about the only place I've been to where a 5 actually approaches what I would expect a 5 to be - spicy! Ordered lunch today from Thai Monkey. I order the salad rolls and Tom Kha soup. Not impressed and will not order from them again. For the $$ I paid, $26, the the food was unimpressive. The salad rolls were made of "bagged salad mix" and shrimp. Peanut sauce appeared to be watered down peanut butter. The soup another disappointment. I asked for spice #3 but it was more like -3. The acid on the soup appeared to be more from lime than lemon grass. The soup had pieces of scallions that where so over cooked they were almost turning brown. I love love Thai food, but honestly, I would prefer preparing these dishes at home. I bet I would do a better job. read more

Our first time here was an accident. The place we had intended to go was closed on Mondays. We went here instead and I'm so glad we did! The service was great they were not too busy. The chicken satay, dumplings, summer rolls, and drunken noodles spice level 1 were perfect! The dipping sauces were savory and the peanut sauce especially was perfect since it was not spicy. We got the salad rolls, Thai sausage, pad see ew, pad Thai, something that I can't remember the name of but it's pictured on the menu, and the Pineapple Curry (which again was hands down top 2 currys I have ever had!) Loved the delicious and vibrant food! So glad the owners are dedicated to sharing authentic and fresh thai food. The presentation is on par with fancy luxury restaurants and made me feel like I went on vacation to Thailand! My bf and I dined in here for dinner last night. We ordered the fried squid appetizer, shrimp pad thai, and pineapple fried rice with chicken. Not sure about the 5 star reviews from the other Yelpers but our food was kind of...odd. We love Thai food and have dined at many Thai establishments but the pad thai here was very 'saucy' and the color was similar to that of vodka sauce at Italian restaurants. The pineapple fried rice had a very dominant curry flavor, which is unusual compared to all other places I have been to. It tasted like an actual curry fried rice with pineapples and cashews added in. The fried squid appetizer was decent but we felt a little overpriced at $7.95 for about 7 rings/pieces. The thing that really bothered me was that I felt they were not upfront with their promotions/specials. There was a large sign out front with various grand opening promotions they have going on (free drink and appetizer for dine-ins) but the server did not once mention anything about this when we sat down or when we ordered. We initially thought the BOGO was on entrees and when we asked, she simply said "The BOGO is for drinks only." She did not clarify that a free drink comes with the entree so we (confused) ended up not ordering any drinks. In addition, we were charged full price for the appetizer. Unfortunately we didn't realize it until after we left. They clearly marketed the promotions but when we came to dine in, it felt like they tried to slide them under the table unless we bring it up ourselves. read more

My friend and I went here about 1.5 week ago on a Sunday night. The service was slow and we had to stand at the front waiting for someone to acknowledge us and let us know if we should seat ourselves or wait. There were only three occupied tables at the time. Once we did get service, the food came out very fast and was delicious. The prices were reasonable as well. They have lunch specials as well and I will go back.
