Horrible experience on a Saturday evening. Placed order online, arrived and high school staff said they just received it. Upon looking the machine has a number of online orders printed, but the staff were talking with high school friends and occupied with their phones. After waiting 30 more minutes, when the order should have been ready long before, the staff forgot a complete $20 entree. We called and received a very unsatisfactory response. We will simply decline on our CC and not return. The triangle in Austin never has issues like this. read more

Expensive for what you actually get. The food is bland and the wait is normally extensive. I can get a much better burger for similar price and infinitely better customer experience at Hopdoddy or Bartletts. We ordered chips as an extra, but the cashier didn't include this item on the order. Without fail, this location omits something from the order every time we come. When we asked for the chips, the waitress brought them out about 5 minutes later. The manager followed with a new ticket which included a new $1.99 charge. I paid for the addition, but left off the $4.00 tip that I added to my original receipt. So not only did the manager lose $2.00 on the transaction, she lost a customer due to her own team's error. Just ordered through Favor and could definitely eat this meal every night for the foreseeable future. I kid not. Boyfriend crushed his Zocalo burger and fries in seconds flat all while grunting with glee and I savored (and crushed) every bite of the grilled skirt steak w/ chimichurri, side of black beans and side salad. We (my family ) have been to this restaurant several times, so it's about time I wrote a review. It's the same every time - I look at the menu and thinks it's rather boring, then very happy and surprised with the quality of the food! Is it more pricey? maybe, but you can tell they spend the money on fresh, good quality food, rather than decor or flashiness. It's fairly straight forward menu - burgers, sandwiches, salads, pastas, regular dinners with your typical sides. I've never had breakfast here though, so can't comment on that. Everything we have gotten is just simply tasty! Nothing is really spicey, but nothing is ever bland. My husband loves the burgers, and he's a real meat eating burger guy. My favorite is the fish tacos, but decided to go really healthy last night and ordered the Buddha bowl (veggies over brown rice and lentils) and it was very good; my daughter actually ate the kale on top! Are you going to find carmelized fancy crap with fancy european cheese topped weirdly askew on some artesian grain with fancy splotches of mystery sauce? No. But you will find simple good eating here. The staff all seem really young (high school), but so far have been really professional and well trained. PROS: 1. Everything has been tasty 2. VERY kid friendly. 3. Good variety, so can choose to eat really healthy, or not so much if you're wanting bacon, burgers with fries. 4. Has gluten free menu if you want that. 5. Easy to park and get to - this is truly a neighborhood place. CONS: 1. Can get busy with long lines. 2. Full of kids, if you don't like kids 3. Not much of a dessert menu. 4. Honestly this place needs to leave the neighborhood. I was never impressed with their other locations with the food being bland, basic and over priced. So when it was announced that it would be coming to Mesa I was disappointed. Austin is filled with great restaurants and why our neighborhood can't seem to get with the program I just don't understand. I am hoping this place suffers the way other restaurants in this space did before it. Northwest Hills can do better and it deserves better. Yes this place is convenient and gives the neighborhood some other food options. But let's be real, it would be worth the extra time to get something of better quality elsewhere. read more

This place has ok food, it's not great food. Therefore I think the prices are high and the portions are small. Don't get me wrong small portions are a good thing but I'm not paying a high price for ok food. Go check it out for yourself but don't say I didn't warn you. The breakfast is reasonably price but honestly again it's just ok. Sad to say but I probably won't go back, I only break the bank for the good stuff! I really loved this restaurant so much! It was a great atmosphere and the food was delicious. We got our food very quickly and they have so many great options to order from. I really loved that they had a whole menu contributed to gluten free options. I try to avoid eating gluten as much as possible and it's always difficult at other restaurants to find something that is gluten free. But here I got the gluten free build your own burger with bacon and cheddar cheese on it and then for my side I got whipped sweet potatoes and I was in heaven. My boyfriend got the regular cheeseburger and said it was delicious and he is always pretty picky about food!! I would highly recommend this place!! Loved it! read more

In one sound... "Meh". We had brunch here a couple weeks ago and it was okay, just not spectacular. The actual food was good enough, but it was pretty expensive as far as diner food goes. We spent close to $30 for French toast, bacon, an omelette, and a soda. The French toast was good, the bacon was okay (nothing very high quality or thick cut), and the Mediterranean omelette was down right boring. We had been looking forward to having a diner so close, but I doubt we will go back much. read more

Stopped by for a quick bite and was very pleased. Friendly service, good selection, fresh and healthy food, trendy style, indoor and outdoor seating. One of the best burgers in town! We skipped the line at Hop Daddy's to grab a Brie and blue cheese burger here instead! We came for burgers twice in one week, which is so unlike us. The customer service is fantastic, delivery fast and the decor is cool. We will be back for sure! Next time we will check out the dinner menu! The food is really good and service is quick. A line does form during peak times (lunch and dinner especially) and seating can be difficult. Some of the choices are a bit pricey for an order at the counter place. However, the sweet potato fries and the lemon muffins are AMAZING! Get them when you can! read more

Like Lou said, we live in the neighborhood and were desperate for a place we could walk to for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. The only option for the coffee had been the Starbucks inside Randall's, whose decor and ambience aren't conducive to a sit-down experience. So glad that Galaxy is here!! read more

I was originally going to Torchy's, but saw this place and decided on a whim to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did! Despite being mildly close to closing time, the staff was so *incredibly* welcoming and kind. The decor is beautiful and interesting, and really adds to the ambiance, and the food was fantastic. I got a wrap with mac and cheese, and it was seriously so good. Like I'm so grateful that I can't make mac and cheese that well or I would be 1000 lbs. Ive been going to the galaxy in Central Austin for years and was looking forward to having the veggie burger so close to my house....but after my visit yesterday super disappointed with this location. The cashier probably has only worked in the industry for a week....or is very dense (ive worked in the industry). He intentionally rang me and my friend up together - and though we both stood there looking at each other it got so awkward I went ahead and paid for us both. Normally not a big deal but this is the first time Id ever hung out with this person. Then we sat down before realizing he also hadn't pointed us to the glasses with silverware so we could get drinks. Its pretty dark inside and the sides that come with the sandwiches were tiny. Will continue to go downtown until management learns how to train the kids who work here to service industry standards. read more

Excellent service.great Mac and cheese! I loved it. The pasta was good but the sauce was too strong. They just opened and everyone tried to help us. The mimosa was perfect as well! I loved the Parmesan cheese. The kids meal was a perfect size for me because it was not huge! I thought the Mac and cheese was incredibly cheesy! The Parmesan was good as well. Had lunch there this past week (business) and we both ordered the Greek Salad, which is about $10.00. Came with a quarter size amount of feta cheese, a few slices of black olives and some tomato slices. This basically was $10.00 for a plate of lettuce. Ok, not sure if this will reflect Galaxy in Steiner Ranch location. It just opened and it is amazing! Food is fresh and restaurant is bright airy and welcoming! This location is definitely worth the drive from Lakeway and Bee Caves! Galaxy has several locations and all of their experiences are reflected in the little touches. I tried this location of Galaxy Cafe about 10 days ago. With a 3-7pm happy hour every weekday featuring $3 draft pint beers (including Live Oak Hefeweizen when I was there) and $2 sweet potato fries among other things, it is honestly hard to go wrong by me. My wife and I both thought the sweet potato fries were among the best we've ever had. There were cut a bit rectangularish and that seemed to be a great thing. As at other locations, the Mexican lime soup was amazing. Our entrees were probably only a 4/5 stars. We had no problem with the service. The great soup, great and cheap fries, and the cheap great beer push my overall review to five stars, despite the 4 star entrees. read more
